Yahoo! Japan reports that three million copies of One Piece volume 57 were printed by Japanese publisher Shueisha. That breaks Japan’s previous manga print run of 2.85 million set by One Piece volume 56! Not only does volume 57 break the manga record, but it breaks the 2.9 million copies printed of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2004!

Since 1997, over 185.6 million copies of One Piece have been sold. Volume 56, alone, has over 2 million of those sales.

One Piece volume 57 follows Luffy and the White Beard pirates in a battle against the government to save Fire First Ace from public execution.
