Not one, not two, but three new Naruto Shippuden titles will be released by TOMY for Nintendo platforms between this year and early next year!

What titles you ask? For the Nintendo Wii we can expect Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Sword, while for the Nintendo DS Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs Sasuke and Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Rumble are headed our way.

So what are these games?

Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo Wii
Tentatively scheduled to release October 19, 2010 in the United States, Dragon Sword is an action adventure, free-roaming beat’em up game with an original storyline. The graphics are similar to the Naruto Clash of Ninja series of games, but the characters wear new, armored outfits. The game was released in Japan back in November 2009 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Naruto series under the title Naruto Shippuden: Ryujinki.

Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs Sasuke for the Nintendo DS
Tentatively scheduled to release October 12, 2010 in the United States, Naruto vs. Sasuke is the sixth installment in the Ninja Council series. It is a 2D side scrolling platformer that features Naruto and company running around and beating up enemies. The game incorporates several tag-team specials such as Sakura throwing Naruto into a plethora of enemies or Sai allowing Naruto to ride one of his ink creatures. Naruto Shippuden: Naruto vs Sasuke was originally released in Japan on July 4, 2008 under the title Naruto Shippuden: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshu Gekitotsu!! Naruto vs. Sasuke.

Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Rumble for the Nintendo DS
Tentatively scheduled to release January 18, 2011 in the United States, Shinobi Rumble is a four-player fighter like Super Smash Brothers, but on the DS. Shinobi Rumble has not yet been released in Japan, and is actually scheduled for an April 22, 2010 release under the name of Naruto Shippuden: Full Throttle Ninjutsu! Chakrush. The Japanese version promises 4-player Wi-Fi action, however, Wi-Fi is not confirmed for North America at this time. The game includes characters such as Toad Sage Jiraiya and Pain.
