There was no ultimate displayed in these videos, the ones the guy called ougi is the regular jutsus preformed by triangle+circle on PS. The ultimates you think about is preformed by triangle+triangle+circle and triggering a cutscene with button mashing and such and before that the character is covered by pretty flashy chakra flames. None of that 2 was presend so those are just regular secondary jutsus like Rashengan was in the first game, even Rashen shuriken is just one of those and the same applies for Orochimaru’s snake thingi

i just remembered that in an interview, one of the developers said that the ougis will have button mashing and commands(like the first one.) so i’m not going to worry about it. but the reason why rasenshuriken takes so much charkra is because it’s a charged move,(like naruto’s odama rasengan and kakuzu’s justus.) it’s powerful and cc2 made it take so much charkra since they know it’ll be used so much online. at the end of the day, the only thing i’m worried about is the health bars.

Before anyone makes any unlogical comments without thinking. here’s what you all need to know:

1. Naruto’s Rasen Shuriken displayed in the Sasuke vs. Naruto video is his Ougi.

wow thanks dude..everything you just said makes perfect since..however i wish they would make the long ougie cutscenes optional..like you could go into the options menue and turn on shortened ougie scene or keep it normal..they should make it so when you play online itd be shortened but when your not itd be the same long ougie scenes just like every past utlimate ninja..maybe its an option and they’re just hiding it

i dont think these are real time jutsu. According to cyberconnect’s blog, its the same as storm 1, just with a few added features. These are either secondary jutsu, or a special config for ultimate jutsu, most likely the first

During the match Naruto set up Rasen Shuriken and when connected launced the cinematic into motion while still keeping it real time. CC2 did this for online because Long Ougis in a online match will most likely cause extreme lagging to the brick to which the connection is lost between players.

Also I’d rather have that instead of a long 20 second Ougi that will only be epic for a few times before becoming dull and boring to watch. It doesn’t take 20 seconds just to show 1 jutsu or attack lol. You could take a piss and come back and the Ougi would still be going.

No one wants to be hit with a 20 second Long Ougi in a online match and have to sit through it all. You want to get back to the match and destroy some ass. it does make sense, its weird if the guy in the interview was mistaken, but that scan in shonen jump did describe that attack as kakuzu’s ultimate, and it was used in the gameplay. I don’t think the fighting is as epic now, I hope they can work on it a bit.

it does make sense, its weird if the guy in the interview was mistaken, but that scan in shonen jump did describe that attack as kakuzu’s ultimate, and it was used in the gameplay. I don’t think the fighting is as epic now, I hope they can work on it a bit.

I don’t like the new ultimates for example I can’t imagine a shinra tensei like this, or Deidaras c4 lol, not to mention Kirin , its a littel bit fucked up

Im just stating what the CC2 manager said in the video. When its an ultimate jutsu it goes into a cinamatic annimation, where your gonna have to press the correct buttons to do a special jutsu just like in storm 1 .

Well after watching the videos I say all except for kakuza’z thing were just normal jutsus because one they already said that grudge shot thing was his ultimate 2 if you think about it the jutsus they showed played out exactly how it happens in nuns1 when naruto or somebody does a charge technique and when fulled all the way to the max and u hit ur opponent it breaks out into a very short cinematic thing well thats how all the jutsus looked to me also if you paid attention to like the one of the very first scans we ever got it showed sasuke doing chidori nigashi befor naruto hit him with rasenshuriken and if that was an ultimate jutsu then there’s only 2 ways to defend from it besides pressing the buttons when you go through it
1 an extremely fast or incredible insane timed attack (which also includes moving out of the way)
or
2 you use a substitution jutsu
in any case like said in this post before ultimate jutsus were said to be exactly like storm 1by cc2 exucs. and shit
either way just get over it

well interesting…im lovin the fact you can fight in the village…the game play looks as smooth as the other one…im not likein the un realistically narutos jutsu is…ley me explain in the manga/show usin the rasenshuriken is harmfull in his performing charkra manipulation..like in the first when you used the reaper death seal as the 3rd no side effect..i was hoping on sumtime of punishment system fro using such extreme attacks.

So I wrote a shitload of text, but apparently Ctrl+C is broken. Ugh.

Anyway, what I have deduced from these videos are…

1. The wall-fighting feature has been removed. Proof: Trees and shrubs have been added in front of the rock wall in Traning Field. Supposed Reason: The feature wasn’t smooth and cohesive throughout the gameplay. (In Storm 1, there would always be the awkward moment where a character flies into the air for a few seconds, and would appear on the ground.)

2. Costumed may be altered post-awakening. Proof: Sasuke’s costume post-CS2 awakening had his shirt off. Which means the short french gaming video showcasing Karin and 4-Tails speculation was right.

3. Support Characters may be able to block. Proof: In Orochimaru vs. Jiraiya, Itachi was blocking Orochimaru at around 0:49. No, I don’t think Orochimaru was blocking, as the blueish shield appeared on Itachi rather than Orochimaru.

4. Ultimates are shortened. Reason: Online gameplay. (Personally, it’s not really a big deal. I’m just worried that Rasenshuriken will be spammed, it looks extremely easy to land. I hope that there will be a feature that would set Online to be shortened, and multiplayer to have mash buttons and staying true to the Storm 1 Ultimate. Mashing against friends is fun!)

5. Health bars are decreased. (This is probably adjustable as in the Naruto vs. Kakashi demo, Kakashi had four health bars. Blue, Green, Yellow and Orange. However, Naruto only had two. — no one whined about that before. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that they are adjustable. Since damage is reduced generally, I’m not really complaining.

6. During the awakening mode, there will be three blue flames beside the character’s life bar. These flames show you the duration of an awakening.

I’m happy with the game, I’m not complaining about it, but I just hope that multi-player will have more of a Storm 1 feel. Don’t get too upset, they have many months to go before polishing up the game. I’m being realistic about it, because the game is still in development. (:

Actually, u know what, I dont care about this change that much. What i do care about is how there are no destructible environments like we were told. When naruto uses that rasenshuriken, I want a dirt imprint on where it hits. Destructible environments are what i was most excited for..but if that does not make an appearance, i will be disappointed a little.

I’m really happy to see some gameplay. Also we can see some of the jutsu other (supprt) characters can do like Deidara and Sasori. The jutsus aren’t ultimate jutsus they’re just regular jutsus. Ultimate jutsus have button commands.
