i like this, this is all i wanted, the ability to substitute even though your in the middle of attacking, freakin awesome

cancels look pretty good but they should also consume a substitution bar, i can see them becoming ridiculously overpowered somehow, also the lightning kunai and inf substitution item is just screaming overpowered, one hit from that lightning kunai and your gonna take an ougi to the face, that inf substitution item is definately overpowered unless it stops you from using jutsus and ougi’s i just hope theyve also stopped substitution to ultimate jutsu too.

Umm, I noticed that in the second video, the block’s endurance decreased; the time it took to turn red was way shorter that in Storm 2 on the 360. You’d usually need at least 1.5 combos to break the guard of an enemy, but now you’d need one combo only.

Changes are good, but all players want 2 jutsus in same gameplay.

and a combo, no 2 jutsus.

Imagine your fav. char using 2 jutsus instead of only one. The game will be perfect!

Since Kage Arc Sasuke got the Electric Kunai and Substitution Log Scroll items that were only really available in the story mode of Storm 2, I wonder if other characters got similar items.

I don’t know why you want it to consume the substitution bar since it already consumes the chakra bar. Other than that, have you played Storm 1? The same items were also there, except lighting kunai was a sleeping tag. Sure, the substitution item can be annoying, but it adds some more depth to gameplay. I didn’t mind if it was used against me and it actually had a flaw, it didn’t work while you were attacking, you had to stand still.

Anyone who has ever played an ultimate ninja game should know that the grab is technically the same thing as the “in game” cinematic jutsu in the original ultimate ninja (only grabs don’t require chakra). So there pretty much has always been 2 jutsu in the storm series. But people don’t understand this just because it doesn’t require chakra.

yeah, grabs should use chakra. although, not all grabs have moves which require chakra like itachi’s grab in storm 2.

they need to be able to customize character jutsu if they have two i mean sasukes inferno style is awesome , but there needs to be customization for those who have tons of jutsu like narutos (various rasengans and clone jutsu) sasukes(various chidoris, various fire styles ,and inferno style.) maybe customize the ultimate too .

why not? It would be considered a second jutsu and it prevents obsessive spamming, that’s a double whammy.

Which mean, there no be Hashirama and Madara.

the items were in storm 1 indeed but storm 1 didnt have online multiplayer like storm 2 did, the stunning items and substitution items were cut out from multiplayer (cant remember if storm 2 had the substitution item in story mode in the first place anymore). with a full charged chakra gauge those cancels would be devastating since they dont seem to be using much chakra from what i saw, if its possible to drop and enemy and continue a combo with cancels (making the enemy drop chakra orbs to pick up) you could pretty much end up with an infinite undodgeable combo due to having a way to get infinite chakra during a combo, i remember blazblue was very dangerous when getting hit in a combo and cancelling would double your potential which is why cancelling was costly using half your heat gauge and made it a bit more balanced by limiting how much you could perform it.
i guess we’ll be able to see how balanced the game is when its actually out.

Nice to see they added cancels and chakra air dash,maybe Generations online won’t fail like Storm 2′s. Keep the improvements comin and i hope they fix killer bee in this 1 cuz his moves r broken every 2 hits easy subsitution.

Perform a chakra cancel during in air melee attack (:28)
- that one’s a big deal because thats a cancel not an airdash which means you could do it as much as you want in relationship to your chakra

Perform an air to ground chakra dash (second video :29)
Already know what I’m gonna do haha ground melee suspension to ground to air chakra dash. Then I’ll melee then cancel with air melee charkra cancel and (if possible) finish off with chakra air to ground combo. 

Also the invisibility frame from a stationary substitution triggered by performing substitution in response to a support attack has been either taken away or drastically reduced (:103 second video) I’m not sure how to feel about that because that means if you were to substitution from a support attack you would have to worry about a ground to air chakra dash, support or jutsu which means you’ll automatically be eating two substitution jutsus. However that also forces you to take the support of the other team more seriously which means ninja movement beats substitution (thank goodness). But with the new chakra gauge better mean no stationary substitution jutsu response to Deidara’s melee/jutsu that just wouldn’t be right. But even if it was stationary you would still be able perform chakra air to ground dash which implies every jutsu in the game is punishable now: ground jutsu, air justu, pursuit jutsu that goes through the character with adequate space to go unpunished (kakashi’s raikiri storm 2)  and (kiba’s  jutsu storm 2)

But with the new substitution during melee I can finally play as  Tenten, Temari, Shino, Hidan (hell yeah!!) cuz his jutsu can now be substitution cancelled). 

Now Cyberconnect This is great but now make chakra kunai cancel to chakra dash/jutsu or just more useful and I will be a very happy man.

You don’t care about gameplay? You don’t care about making the game more competitive, fair, and hopefully fun for ALL players while ditching the run and substitute meta that online play is plagued by? At the end of the day, are the Sound 4 going to make actually PLAYING the game less frustrating against other players? I would love them too, and Danzo, and Zetsu, and all of them, but gameplay is very important.

That’s what substitution, guard, ninja move (dodging), supports are for. You just have to use them more strategically now. P1 in video 1 was a very good player, but I can already see moments when he would have been very vulnerable with how reckless he was (tho that sub item does seem a bit OP). At the same time being too defensive isn’t an option anymore, so the way P2 played (like he owns and played Storm 2 online) will not work as it did in Storm 2, so imo it just looks more OP than it really is because of the way P2 played.

Damn that’s a lot of technical stuff bro lol. Nice observations, though the invisibility frames don’t seem to be changed. Naruto started to attack in air after substituting, and I believe that takes away the invincibility in storm 2 as well. Also, normal air dashing into block never did the bouncing effect. Its the same in Storm 2 as it is here.

Well, I hope one day they bring back overpowered characters for offline. I love it when a game isn’t too easy, Roam Your Nightmares For 72 Hours…:)

Yeah I think your right. The idea of an invisbility frame length of time shortened or stretched by the choice of action after a recovery (substitution) reminds me of Super Smash bros when dealing with a ledge. Its cool but it sucks for planned attacks. And as for the focus on the bouncing effect, I’m still irritated from Storm specifically when getting an awakening and could do mostly nothing about it. what do you think about sasuke during (first video :39)? that might be part of his combo I don’t know

Damn, I don’t care it Generations is a Storm 2.5 at this point. Sure, we’ll most likely see those spammers again (I’m looking at you Deidara projectile clay spammers) but now, these new characters (and old) refresh the feeling of excitement once again. I’m starting to think that perhaps basic projectiles should cost chakra or should have a firing limit so you can’t trap someone and win by endless firing. Think about it in terms of the anime – what single shinobi/kunoichi have you seen carrying (literally) an infinite amount of any weapon? Deidara runs out of clay and a ninja can only hold as many weapons as they can conceal (which is limited by a small pouch). These are minor, but could go a long way to making it fair on both sides. Also, awakenings should be a free user-influenced transformation where the transformed state is only a tiny bit stronger than the previous form so we can be at full power but still have a good, clean fight. Who’s with me?

You dont care GAMEPLAY?.. I want to use my fav. char at 100% no 50%, only 1 jutsu.. The other Ultimate Ninja of PS2 had 2 or more jutsus per player, and ultimates. Well, if you want to pay 70 bucks for a “new” game that only have new chars and minor changes, you can.. I prefer paying that lot of money for a NEW game, or a REALLY FIXED game that include what players want that are MORE JUTSUS per char in same fight.

Ok dude 1st off don’t get offended by what I’m about to say…. If you do…. Well i dont give a sh1t.. But ppl who complain about spammers like Deidara and Temari trapping them in their attacks, sucks.

If you cant find away to get around characters like thst who trap you, you trash mann, because any game you play, spammers are always waiting for you, so pack up your balls get them subs ready and kick the tar out of them.

When Deidara starts with the clay, have your chakra full and throw a ninja tag at them, it goes right through the clay and smack him with a good combo, same with Tenten, Shino, and Temari.

Also about being able to just use an awakening whenever you fell ready is not such a good idea, have you fought a good Lee, 4th Hokage, Guy, Jugo, or Itachi when they are awakening????

Thats why I asked for 3 bars of health, with all of these new improvements you kinda need them, and how about having the awakening start at the middle of the second health bar, that way you could make the match a little bit better.

Also the boss battles on storm 2 were way way too easy, I say pump up the boss battles difficulty, in the words of Abomanation “Give me a real fight”

I agree, I’d rather buy a new game and yes, it looks like it’s nothing but add-ons. However, remember that the story spans all the way from the beginning of the first Naruto all the way up until Naruto’s last clash with Sasuke. We’ll have the characters from Storm 1 in addition to previously support-only as fully playable added to the roster plus Zabuza, Haku and the new characters as listed in the updates here on Saiyan Island. Would I love more jutsus? My answer is hell yeah!!! But until that glorious day comes, this can at least last me for a little while. Be patient and you shall be rewarded. We’ll reach that glorious day eventually.

Please if someone can not respond to my question.Here’s what I want to ask.Why do people who make this game  why not insert blood into it?The whole Naruto anime is full of blood.And what annoyed me most is that Why not make a Ultimate Attack of Pain -Planetary Devastation?For people who are great professionals as they that is no problem,at least I think so, I’ll be satisfied with this naruto.I really like naruto games but missing a lot more that must be on the insert,we want game near anime.

spamming is way too accessible. I am trying to even the battlefield on
both sides here. I’m all for improvements here. I am skilled, believe
me. I just find spam annoying. It’s as simple as that.

They take the blood out for kids… Games today are being dumb down for kids. That is only part of it at least. More reasons, but yeah thats part of it.

the moment opponent use awakening…its simply a win for me.but the annoying thing is that their jutsu will damage when were on the ground

want to see some new gameplay with kakashi, kakashi so cool i love his fighting style. I hope that they give him the old jutsu’s from storm 1 back that would be auwsome.

well i think the reason theres no blood is thay want the game to appele to younger players and lovers of the show. but a recomendation should be to make it avalible in the settings.and for your other ? i believe thay are living things out to make storm 3 even better. i mean this is like storm 2.5 what better way to make the next games craze go up then by adding what the fans wanted to see most of all.

Ok, Remember in Nuns2 how Sage mode threw 2 Shurikens? now its 1. And. In Nuns2 there were 3 chakra cannons… but now there is 1.. It would make things easier. and i think the Block is stronger or weaker o_O.. hmmph i will tell you guys the soonest i can.. ;D Believe IT >:O
