Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie – Naruto and Sakura in Genjutsu

Dumb Shikamaru, lean Choji, complex Ino, flat-chested Tsunade, large-chested Shizune, sexy Hinata, and playboy Sasuke. How are all these opposite or alternate characters in Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie? What happened in the Narutouniverse?

According to the distributing company behind Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, TOHO, it’s just as many of you guessed – genjutsu! Naruto and Sakura are transported from the Hidden Leaf Village we all know and love to an alternate reality created by the Masked Man’s genjutsu. Both Naruto and Sakura are unaware that they have been caught in genjutsu and it is this alternate reality, according to TOHO, that bridges the main story to the movie story, both of which are created by Masashi Kishimoto.

Of course we’re sure you have many questions in regards to Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, as do we at Saiyan Island, but rest assured the answers will all come in due time. After all, Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie comes out July 28th in Japan! No North American or European release date has been announced at this time, but, we do expect an unofficial April – May 2013 release online.

    so if they transport to the alternate universe, wouldn’t a alternate naruto and sakura be there too? which would surely make them all see that they are in a genjutsu..

    That’s still awesome to me! naruto and sakura don’t know there in genjutsu! so this will have tons of humor *i can see it now* “naruto and sakura running around trying to figure out what the heck is going on!” this movie will be EPIC!

    To retcon this movie to the main storyline, Kishimoto did an amazing job with the Genjutsu thing (which probably is a weaker version of the so-called Mugen-Tsukuyomi, aka Eye of the moon Plan), setting a plot in which everybody is in a genjutsu without knowing… and that genjutsu is making everyone living an almost-perfect life! this is probably done in order to make everyone stop fighting and live in the “dream world” that Tobi rules… Notice how Sakura has now a Sasuke who tries to hit on her, Naruto has his parents alive, Hinata is more confident, and so on (don’t know what to say about flat-chested tsunade xD )…

    I think this movie will rock! **

    dont mean to disappoint you but that has no chance of happening they will never show a subbed  naruto movie in american theaters, it would hardly make any money, and i say that because anime only makes up 1% of U.S. entertainment, plus even i as a fanatic naruto fan wouldnt pay to go see that in american theaters, if im going to watch something in theaters it best be in english (Dub)

    i think when he said they dont know their in a genjutsu he meant that they would think that everything was normal, instead of confused and questioning themselves as to why things are the way they are, however, if its the latter then yes it would be very funny but i guess it would be funny either way

    when their put under the genjutsu they become the alternate naruto and sakura, to them everything would be normal as if nothing had changed, and since thats the case this is one fucking powerful genjutsu, its like super version of tsukuyomi combined with kotoamatsukami

    because a alternate universe would be just as logical of a idea as oh i don’t know going back in time, at least genjutsu makes sense and can work with the story unlike previous movies.

    sorry dude, pokemon the first movie and yugioh the movie are the only ones good enough and popular to be shown in american theaters.. well back in the good ol days before it became trash.

    Maybe Sakura will finally get some action. We may even learn more about her past, since it looks like she’ll be a major character in this movie.

    We may get a “limited release” or it might be shown in anime conventions. I know that the Fullmetal Alchemist movie was shown in a few theaters so we may see something like that for this movie.

    its a genjutsu.just an illusion…so then, someone definitely created it right??? in that case since the masked guy made that illusion, he can make that alternate world without naruto and sakura….so when they go in,,,they wouldnt meet any naruto or sakura….:)
