Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection Features List

Namco Bandai Games has released a features list for Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection. The collection includes two games, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 1 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, both of which will be remastered in high-definition for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. The game is set for a European (and likely North American) release of Winter 2012, with PS3 trophies and 360 achievements supported.

Unfortunately, there is no word yet if online will be included. In Saiyan Island’s opinion, online for Budokai 3 should be a top priority. Lets hope we are in for a surprise!

Anyways, here is the released Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection features list breakdown:

BUDOKAI 1 FEATURES:

Face off with up to 23 mighty DBZ warriors!
60 moves per character including Kamehameha
Fierce fighting modes including Story, Duel & World Match
Follow the DBZ animated series from Saiyan Saga to Android saga!
Includes the authentic Japanese voiceover cast

BUDOKAI 3 FEATURES:

More than 40 characters from DBZ, DBZ movies & Dragon Ball GT
Customize your DBZ warrior & build the ultimate fighter
Saiyan Overdrive Fighting System brings the speed, cinematic attacks & combos, airborne acrobatics & intensity of the DBZ anime
Share character profile passwords for other players to use
Includes the authentic Japanese voiceover cast

no online? wtf namco? put it in! it is needed you put in in RB1/RB2 and even in ultimate tenkaichi but ur not gonna have it for budokai 3 ? thats it everyone right now SPAM namco bandai’s facebook page demand budokai 3 with online write on their page 100′s of times that we want it in and in their inbox do it now spread the word on youtube and everywhere else, its not out yet so we still have a chance maybe.

Haha they still haven’t confirmed if it will have online or not.They just announced it so maybe they aren’t revealing eveything yet,there are still 3 more days in the expo,and if they don’t announce it then,then maybe some time down the road.If it doesn’t have online i’ll still get it,but you’re right if they don’t announce it lets spam them >:O

yeah i know i saw that screenshot but i think they can still add it in, yeah i’ll be getting it too weather it has it or not, i mostly play DBZ games offline probably cause i’m crap at the raging blast game slol and for ultimate tenkaichi’s online its messed, i prefer the budokai 3 controls more than any other DBZ game so i’ll be good with this =)

This is what they did in the original to make up for lack of online. If the feature is still in, then it’s highly unlikely they are planning to include online. But I’m going to try and do what I can to convince them, and so should everyone else who really wants it.

It’s just Kaioken x2, x5, and x10 that are usable in Budokai but I do remember that each one had another picture of Kaioken Goku looking more pissed off xD

They are the same soundtracks as the US/EU versions I have Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1 – 3 in Japanese, Only the Budokai Tenkaichi series and Raging Blast 1 & 2 has the original soundtrack, I found Raging Blast 2 in Japanese/Asian region whic I plan to buy XD

More than 40 characters yes because in budokai 3 there was 41 characters (i want turles, cooler,bojack, zangya and more)

Sayian overdrive system ofcorse it will be nothing special,cinematics attacks and combos was in budokai 3.

They are 38 characters total in Budokai 3 without counting fusion and support capsules, in Infinite World is 42 characters.

people will always complain, even if there was budokai 2, infinite world, the tenkaichi series they will still complain, this fan base (Most of them not all) are never satisfied , they didn’t want the same story in RB2 then wanted it back in lol, when RB2 came out mostly everyone hated it now that ultimate tenkaichi is out everyone suddenly loves RB2 O_O the only thing budokai 3 needs is online imo.

Soooo, why was budokai 2 not put in here. If you’re gonna do a budokai HD collection, at least include all 3 games. I hate HD collections anyway, but if you’re gonna make one, at least include all the titles in the series (tenkaichi is a different series, so don’t go crazy fanboys).

My favourite would have been to see budokai 3 and tenkaichi 3, I feel that it would have satisfied both audiences and given the best game that either series has to offer. :S

That’s why Dragon Ball Z games are on a sinking ship because the majority of the fanbase can never take a liking to anything they make anymore and it’s not because they’re not good it’s just because nowadays everybody always needs something to whine about. I do think that online mode would be a great edition to this game but I can live without it.

I would have preferred Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 as the bundle in the collection.

However, Budokai 3 is a far better game mechanics wise. The tenkaichi series was always unbalanced and broken, between rush attacks and their tracking, camera issues, OP characters, etc. But, if there’s no online it really doesn’t matter.

But I want online Namco… I WANT ONLINE.

the budokai 3 features are the same as it say on the back of the box i still have it and my ps2 so if it doesnt have online witch it probly wont im not geting it. If any of you recall do you know how long it takes to trully get all charaters and there moves pre set and ready for battle, toke me at least ova a year!

So much hate for Budokai 1, geez I bet most of the people on here were too young to understand the epicness of Budokai 1. Now it’s all about graphics and how many characters a game had. Budokai 1 actually took skill(try beating final form frieza for the first time on the hardest difficulty) and had the best cinematic story mode in the history of DBZ games. The closest one to be as epic as Budokai 1 was Burst Limit.

I’m not saying that the Tenkaichi series was bad but I don’t think any DBZ game can compare to how badass the Budokai series was. Oh and I forgot that unlike Budokai 3 in Budokai 1 and 2 you have to do a combo to do your ultimate specials and now all you have to do is press one button, it seems like video games get easier and easier every year.

I wonder why people thing that the tenkaichi 3 was one of the best games, so i go to my friend who have ps2 and play tenkaichi 3, so what so epic of this game? Raging blast 2 is better than tenkachi 3 only the better think about tenkaichi 3 is that the game have all characters and more maps.

I still prefer Budokai 3, but still i wait for something like Burst limit 2

Burst Limit 2 won’t happen sadly because Dimps lost rights to making DBZ games and no longer make games for Namco Bandai. This is the closest thing to Budokai that we’ll ever get unless you count the new arcade game in Japan called Dragon Ball Heroes.

LoL, funny how i never played Budokai 2, and it’s not included here eighter, well not like i care .
Budokai 3 was the best DBZ game, and still is. OK tenka 2 and 3 was good and RB2 is not bad but they are nowhere near Budokai 3′s aura and fun factor.
I remember how hooked we where with my friend back then, we played a kid buu vs Saibamen battle for like 15 minutes or so . Everyone just dodged the hell out of the other’s combo, and counterattacked until we had no ki, and had to refill .
Well, i bet if at that time i had played online my opponents would run away crying, lol, but i think my skills got rusty since then.

Budokai 3 is THE best fighting game ever in my opinion, the customization and depth of combos has never been matched and i have been waiting almost 10 years to play this game online, i can not wait for its release and this is the most anticipated release of my gaming career.

Lets just hope to god its got online.

I just hope that they would include the fighters from infinite world and shin budokai if possible. But HD remakes aren’t really special compared to the originals so I’ll just enjoy what I had on my PS2, PS3 style.

It was the best DBZ Fighting game for sure, for the everyman at least…the tenkaichi was really unbalanced and just not fit for fighting games, i feel it was made more for DBZ fans rather than everyone
