Namco Bandai Games Japan has released the very first trailer for Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden in high definition (HD)! According to YouTube anyways, the 720p and 1080p options are available. The trailer looks very sharp, with Rock Lee and Naruto fighting against various types of animals and generic ninja. The graphic style matches well with the goofy, but catchy music. Of course the game doesn’t look like its big budget, but developer Inti Creates has something here that looks pretty fun!

Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden is a side-scrolling action/adventure game for the Nintendo 3DS by Namco Bandai Games and Inti Creates. Confirmed playable characters include Rock Lee and Naruto. The game is set for release in Japan sometime Winter 2012. A release for North America and Europe has not been announced.

  • Shogunreaper

They aren’t chibi they are SD.

Chibi would be most of the other naruto games that have been put out on the ds.

  • Shogunreaper

Its not chibi… they are completely different sprites.

  • Tobi

it’s Short, and has big eyes, therefore it’s chibi :3

  • Shogunreaper

     Nope, its super-deformed

  • Guava Lychee

sorry, whats the difference between chibi and SD? never really understood this…

  • Shogunreaper

You can easily tell by the way they look

SD means super deformed, meaning they look vastly different from the way they regular do in the animemanga.

  • Guava Lychee

@Shogunreaper how is that different from chibi? I thought that’s what chibi meant too- big eyes, big head, tiny arms / feet?

  • Tobi

super deformed can be a different way of saying chibi -_-

  • Shogunreaper

     No they are different styles

  • Tobi

dude look it up you got the internet -_-

  • Shogunreaper

I don’t need to look it up, there’s a reason they specifically put SD in the title.

  • Shogunreaper

Go look at the Shinobi Rumble game for the DS, those are chibi sprites.

  • Damian Pawłowski

I don’t have 3ds xD but still I hope that the game will be very long and have big bosses ; p

  • Tobi

:3 are you trolling me?, this has been done to me before -_-

  • Shogunreaper

     Nope.

  • Tobi

@_@ dude seriously look it up SD= Super Deformed is another way of saying Chibi i’m serious i looked it up early this week ^^

  • Shogunreaper

Na, they are 2 different styles of sprites.

  • Tobi

    ^.^ Just look it up

  • Shogunreaper

Don’t need to, i work with the sprites all the time i know the difference.

  • Tobi

come on just look it up then you’ll see that they are the same -_-

  • Shogunreaper

Don’t need to, i work with the sprites all the time i know the difference.

  • Tobi

come on dude you got enough time don’t you?

  • MarioM98

hmm, I don’t think they would make this for Ps3, it would just seem “different” on PS3.

  • MarioM98

SD is an actually manga style that is used for a Rock Lee spin-off manga.
