Masashi Kishimoto: Sakura Interview (Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie)

Last week the legendary creator if Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, talked about Naruto and his parents. This week on Japanese television show Sakiyomi Jan Bang, Kishimoto-sensei talks about the Leaf Village’s pink flower, Sakura Haruno!

Kishimito-sensei mentions that even though he would have liked to write some scenes with them, he hasn’t had the chance to include Sakura’s parents until now. In his mind, he had the image for Sakura’s parents, which include back-and-forth arguing matches, but he just never could find the right time to do so. With so much of the manga release, he thought nobody would have interest in them at this point, although he still decided for them to be in the movie.

Next week, Kishimoto-sensei will talk talk about the characters who gave him the most trouble! From what we’ve garnered here at Saiyan Island, that includes Shino and Sai, but we’ll have to see for sure next week.

Also known as Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Road to Ninja, Naruto Shippuden Movie 6, among others, Road to Ninja is the 9th movie overall in the Naruto series. It will debut in Japanese theaters July 28, 2012. Naruto’s creator, Masashi Kishimoto will be personally involved with the movie, creating the story and providing character designs.     maybe if you’d quit with the constant uchiha 25/8 you might’ve had an spot for sakura’s parents, and lee’s parent’s or maybe even the whole support development, seriously, it takes the OVA 9 just for kohonamaru to “admit” his ancle is asuma, and that’s an filler.

    I just wanted to say I think sakura is a great char and that she plays a very big and important role in the naruto universe, I think she is very strong and she has shown that in the series…..people always bash on her….but quite frankly she might later on in her life surpass tsunade…Sakura is an awesome character and she should be thought as such. Sakura is awesome! Cha!! <3

    The Manga focuses on Sasuke and Naruto. Sasuke wasn’t mentioned for /months/, probably a year. So stop arguing because they’re focusing on him for a bit.

    omg you’re right, 2 season’s worth of non sasuke compensates for the rest of the 5 season’s and current devoted for him smh.. and fyi, just cause they didn’t “show” sasuke, didn’t mean the plot wasn’t about “sasuke” via: season 2, and besides just cause it’s about narusasu doesn’t mean he have to leave everyone else in the dirt. that’s just an excuse for POOR writing. you really think narusasu were the root’s to making this franchise successful in the first place? No it’s from all the rookie 12 plus their sensei’s. That’s why So many people left naruto and switched to one piece, cause that guy actually know’s what he’s doing when it comes to “character development”.

    one piece is going to be most repetitive anime in the history. it is all about sailing from one island to another and wait for bad guys to show up then luffy will kick their asses. I can tell you we are gonna watch this in another 500 episodes. I just wonder how it is going to end thats why I follow.. one piece is just overrated. And I think it is pointless to compare naruto and one piece with support development.. One piece is about a guy who travel with his CREW everywhere and they are looking for one piece… Naruto in the other hand. A failure guy becoming Hokage (different stories) even show’s name “Naruto” seriously!!

    One piece is overrated? LMFAO, I think the only anime up to date that’s “overrated” is naruto dude. Um naruto and one piece shouldn’t be compared? Um what does support development have to do with different stories? last I checked an supporting cast is still an supporting cast. and spare us the whole “failure” to hokage, shippuden is NOTHING like the pure epicness of part 1 naruto, Now it’s just “destiny this and destiny that and being the destined hero yet in part 1 naruto refused to be ruled by it, and now it’s allow about saving sasuke.

    and if you took your time, you’ve known I’m discussing why “shippuden” has flaws. I don’t see any in part 1. and you know what’s funny, you’re right one piece is “simple” that’s what makes it great for development..

    I think you need an dictionary to know what ‘development” means. cause if you did, clearly you’ll see why shippuden has flaws and why one piece is more fullfilling to the reader(s) fans. honestly the only reason I continue reading the manga even thou it’s crap compared to what it use to be, is cause I’ve been following the manga since day 1. every time I read an chapter, it feels like an chore rather than an enjoyment. So your overrated excuse of “different stories” is bad. I’m sure you can come up with an better reason than that.

    one piece and shippuden has some flaws but the fact that people watch it they must be doing something right xD dragon ball z is said to be the best anime ever but that has flaws similar to the two well known anime ( one piece repetitiveness and shippuden destiny thing)

    what does comparing support development have to do with different stories? dude I am trying to tell you in one piece, you need to develop support characters not only Luffy cause Luffy goes everywhere with them… in Naruto Shippuden you don’t need to develop support characters as much as One Piece cause story is not going on around them.. Yeah it would be cool if Kishimoto gives development for some side characters but it not that big deal…

    not an BIG deal? yeah go ahead and tell that to all the neji, lee, sakura, hinata etc fans then come back to me. I don’t understand why the plot has to go from globalized realistic to strictly main character fantasy. but you’re right you don’t need to develop support characters in the way you describe it. but is it right? I think its wrong, cause all rookie 12 deserve an closure regardless what “shippudens” plot is about. he could’ve atleast gave sakura more development after her victory against sasori, but no she’s ditched to the curve. and you wanna know what kishi said in his interview last year for the manga? someone asked what will happen to sakura? he says he forgot about her…smh he could’ve atleast gave hinata an bigger role but no he ditch her too even thou she confessed her love..     I admit that Sakura is quite annoying during part one. But I can see how much she have changed. Now she’s one of Naruto’s friends that keeps him going. So I don’t understand why some people hate her so much.

    I’ll bet money Kishi will never “upgrade” sakura with new abilities/jutsu’s; much less make her be an important role in the Great Ninja War, besides healing the wounded. Kishi could give a rats ass for Sakura judging by his attention he puts into her and how the majority of naruto fans call her useless. smh

    I hate that people have made this sub-conscience divide between Sakura and Hinata. I’m pretty sure that they’re best friends. My personality is a lot like Hinata in social situations but I want to be like Sakura – super strong, confident, very understanding….and pinky pretty. Unfortunately there is so much hate for her. I don’t understand how people can not see that she is so caring. She thinks about Naruto’s well-being all the time. Actually she thinks about everyone’s condition since she’s a medical ninja. She is so useful since she’s saving lifes so stop expecting her to be battling every time! I used to want to see more character development for Hinata but now I just want to see more Sakura action because she’s an interesting person. To be honest, anyone who bashes Sakura is not wise enough to understand her. Sakura is an awesome woman full of secrets ;) p.s narusaku ftw

    Actually, Sakura has an important role in the story, regardless of her popularity among readers and viewers. (even if masashi never inteded to do so) From my point of view, she symbolizes that even ordinary people can do extraordinary things. She was born with no special abilities. She is one of the main characters to actually achieve strength from hard work (not based on the abilities of her family). Her will to fight and caring nature also helps in teaching values to the readers. I also think that her character is important in establishing Sasuke’s and Naruto’s friendship and their rivalry.
