Naruto Generations: All Support Characters Playable Glitch

Anko, Kurenai, Shizune, Tayuya, Kidomaru, Jirobo, Sakon, Fu, Torune, Darui, Cee, Akatsuchi, Kurotsuchi, Ao, and Chojuro – these are all the support-only characters in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (Naruto Generations). We’re sure many of you wanted to play with these, well, now you can!

Saiyan Island’s THE BASEDGOD has discovered a glitch in the game and has shared how you can take advantage of it to play as one of the support-only characters. The first video below shows how you can do it, while the second video shows 14 of the 15 support-only characters in action.

Some of the characters have their own ninja tools which may suggest CyberConnect2 at least thought of putting them in as official playable characters. They aren’t fluid, but instead look a bit ridged in their movements. It’s possible CyberConnect2 ran out of development time or just placed them in as a test for Storm 3, Saiyan Island doesn’t know for sure. What we do know is you can enjoy them, in at least a limited capacity, by checking out the videos below and trying it out yourself!

Steps to play as a support-only character
1. Go to Free Battle
2. Then go to VS Battle
3. Do 1P Vs 2P: Choose any character and any support and finish the match
4. Return to Free Battle Mode
5. Go to Training
6. Select Team Match: If you do this right the CPU cursor will follow the 1P cursor
7. Go down to the support only slot and press B (or Circle for PS3)
8. Then choose random supports
9. If you see Naruto on the screen without support then you have done it correctly!

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is a 3D fighter by CyberConnect2 for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. It has a revamped online mode, 72 playable characters, 38 stages. The game was published in Japan on February 23, 2012 and will be released in North America on March 13, 2012, and March 30, 2012 in Europe.     you can drop chakra shurikens (PS3) triangle + square and you can fly with (PS3) X + tap any Dpad button xd

    Once you start selecting your “second” support character, press O and you can choose both supports with your main “Support-Only” character.
    I was playing as Kidomaru with Sakon and Tatuya and it detected me as playing as “The Sound Ninja Five”!

    used it they could do chakra  shuriken and chakra dash and move but nothign else so its not that cool

    I don’t get the hype of this glitch, you can only use their jutsu that is hardly playable I mean its sorta cool but its not that great, they are not actually playable you can’t use them to do anything but jutsu. But to each his own if others think its great that is their opinion.

    i pray that shizune will be playable she had a huge role in the anime with Guren and the sanbi but sadly they neglected that huge saga -_-

    If in NUNS3 all supports will be playable+new characters from begining of war then NUNS4 will have over 100 characters : O
    and if NUNS4 will be entire Shippuden with all characters, then in NUNS5 all characters will have 2 jutsus or even more.

    The reason why this is so great is that now we have proof that CC2 tried to make them playable (especially Tayuya and by extension all of sound five) but where pushed to release the game unfinished. They had to settle with support only. Most of them have a specialized tool set and the fact they can even walk (supports never move so that animation would be useless) and be hit by grabs (a support character would just be hit with no cinematic animation), even Darui’s sword disappears in a grab (seems there are a few characters that have something disappear in a grab).

    I’m sure they tried really hard to make them playable, i mean, Tayuya has a render for the VS loading screen!

    You have to at least say, “thank you CC2 for trying your best with the amount of time Namco gave you.”

    Well if you put it that way yeah it is really great, I already kinda figured this much since it wouldn’t make much sense why they could walk around, I was talking about the playable aspect of them isn’t that great. This also might not actually be proof that they tried to make them playable but I would say its assumed it seems that way though. Lets just hope for the full characters for Storm 3 that would be the proof that they were trying to make them playable.

    Darui of Raikages squad will be playable
    Both Mizukages followers will be playable
    Both of the tuschikages followers will be playable
    Niether of danzos wil be playable

    Shizune has a chance if they do the Guren saga justice 

    Anko has a high chance appearing recently in the manga

    Sound five no (they might not even keep part 1 characters.)

    If these characters were actually playable I would’ve bought the game by now. Delaying titles isn’t the end of the world; cyberconnect should learn that they should push a title back if they need more time.

    Well it kinda could fit but if you add one thing from filler other people will want something else added and it becomes a giant hassle to please people with things that are not cannon. A lot of people want to see the sora acr and the fire temple shinobi but it just deson’t fit in and would be to hard to add all filler things. Though it would make the game a bit more interesting, it just wont happen sadly. I do prefer things to be cannon anyway since I follow the manga more than the anime, but would still be nice to see some new extra content.

    This glitch isn’t great gameplay-wise but information-wise it’s amazing!

    No wonder there was such a glitch in the game coz of the fact cc2 had to cut there team into half for this game as far as i remember the last time matsuyama had an interview in 2010 he said tht they only had 150 employees so basically there were only 75 people making the game or maybe around 95 becoz maybe they expanded the team for storm 3 and generations with tht number of ppl working on the game there was no wonder there was such a major glitch but i am sure they will never patch it coz they never patched glitches in storm 2

    They have more then just the Storm franchise to deal with. There’s the other Naruto games (like Impact), then there’s the other franchises they deal with. So in all likelihood, those 150 people are split up between 7-10 different projects.

    Thanks CC2 for giving them running animations, half assed jumping animations, and the ability to be controlled in general BUT NOT MAKING THEM FULLY PLAYABLE, then hiding them from us like we’d never know. We’re too smart for that. :)

    this glitch is basically useless. All you can do is support Jutsu and if you dash they run in place forever.
