Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie Review

Today is July 28th, the release date of Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie in Japanese theaters! Many of us having been waiting for this day, including us at Saiyan Island, but unless you are in Japan, the only thing most Naruto fans can do is wait for the worldwide release. Luckily, there are a select few Naruto fans who have had the opportunity to only enjoy the movie. One of those fans is TheTokyoKit, who has taken the time to give fantastic and in-depth Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie review. So in-depth, it’s split into 5 parts and lasts about a hour long! With a nice view of Japan, we hope you enjoy!

Also known as Naruto Shippuden the Movie: Road to Ninja, Naruto Shippuden Movie 6, among others, Road to Ninja is the 9th movie overall in the Naruto series. It will debut in Japanese theaters July 28, 2012. Naruto’s creator, Masashi Kishimoto will be personally involved with the movie, creating the story and providing character designs.     So the leaf 11 didn’t do crap and were basically used only for comedy for only 2 scenes ,sasuke does nothing, there’s narusaku moments, and sakura plays a important part in this movie? My hype for this movie has gone down tremendously, but I still wanna watch it though the action sounds epic at least.

    Well for me it didn’t change how I felt about this movie at all!! becasue…this is only TheTokyokit’s review…the movie might differentiate for others(I’m a die hard naruto fan so my opinion of the movie would be different from others.^_^) I still can’t wait to see this movie…and it will be soon!!! O/_*

    Sounds like crap…  The only thing it really has going is action, but action alone don’t make a movie in my opinion.  I had high hopes for this Naruto movie seeing how Kishi is the writer….

    Nope, I was wrong…  Gonna scratched this off another Naruto movie I will not see.

    If Kishimoto wrote this and Tobi doesn’t exist in this world..AND Minato and Kushina are alive….

    Could it be that them being alive somehow changed history to the point where whoever tobi is doesnt exist.

     Yeah, I think people are getting too excited over the film.  Sure Kishi wrote it, but in the end it will just be 2 hours of filler.  Will I watch it when it is released?  Most likely not.  Unless I get like extremely bored or something.  The Naruto films aren’t really anything to bend over to anyway.

    I keep trying to like Sakura, but she keeps doing stupid things to ruin it every time. She obviously doesn’t understand why Sasuke’s seeking revenge if she’s gonna say shit like, “Sasuke would understand why I hate having my parents around.”.

    That’s how Kishimoto wrote it, so hate Kishi instead of poor character like her.

    However, yes, Sakura doesn’t seem to know much about Sasuke. But in the end of the movie, she’s finally learned about Naruto’s feeling, at least. LOL, poor Sakura, her character hasn’t develop much.

    You guys do realize this basically a dream of narutos right? thats why sakura  is relavant because it took place before the land of iron and team seven reunion…when naruto feelings for her disappeared beyond the caring of a teammate

    But he wrote it for a reason. It’s supposed to show us that Sakura doesn’t have a clue. Aren’t the parallels to the “You’re annoying” scene obvious? (Also remember when she said “Naruto doesn’t understand me at all!” When he said the very same lines she was fantasizing about earlier (“Your forehead is so pretty I wanna kiss it”) like he read her mind) Sakura is simply a very flawed character and the movie seems to make her shallowness obvious. Kishi created her character to be shallow, so how is it bad writing if he keeps her characterization consistent?
    Having a flawed character can serve many purposes, here, she is used as a contrast to Naruto.

    Not really surprise, Sakura was always the token normal and Kishi has explicitly stated this… And I think this movie used her token normal role very effectively, like, she can’t appreciate having parents.

    Also, date teasing or no, that movie does make it obvious that they just don’t fit, especially given their different reactions. 
    WTF, “If Sasuke were here, he would understand”…? That again makes it clear Sakura only loves her IDEA of Sasuke, but she has no idea who he is. Genocidal and deranged, that’s what he is.

    Sakura is,as Kishimoto said,the most NORMAL character,shes more like us,ppl outside of manga/anima world,and u hate the reality >/ ,there are no ppl like sasuke,naruto or hinata in real world,i mean with their full personas,get over it,U like the IDEA of ur fav character,stop bitching

    Kk. I calmed down. Sasuke is better like that. If you actually watch the trailer, he is charming. Neji has to go back to his old self and his destiny lectures, sakura is just a burden and hold back. Hinata has better looks and is not shy anymore, but she to mean. Man ino, change her back somebody. Shes my fav naruto girl character, she is ugly when shy. :P sasuke is just like ….well i cant explain. He looks better in that gangster clothes and he has that smile. Im so attracted XD
