Dragon Ball Z 2013 Movie Full Teaser Trailer, English Website

Toei Animation, the Japanese animation house behind Dragon Ball Z has today launched the official website for the Dragon Ball Z 2013 Movie in English! The website sports the full teaser trailer for the movie, similar to the one we posted back in July.

The news is extremely exciting, at least Saiyan Island’s opinion! At this time only a Japanese release date of March 30, 2013 has been announced, but we feel that it certainly raises the chance for a worldwide release! An interesting tidbit of information – the Japanese version of the Dragon Ball Z 2013 Movie website, which opened in July, received hits from 178 countries! Japan was the top visiting country, with one quarter of the traffic coming from there. The rest, three quarters worth, came from overseas! The top country visiting the website after Japan was the USA followed by Brazil, Mexico, France, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Spain, and the United Kingdom!

The Dragon Ball Z 2013 movie will be the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, before before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. The latest Dragon Ball Z movie is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release at this time.

    I’m not really excited for this because 
    1) I don’t think the writer of Dragonball and Dragonball Z created this movie.
    2) Toei Animation created this and by them creating this, they may make the movie like how they made Dragonball GT. It’s confusing and doesn’t make sense.
    3) For the English version, i’m sure they are gonna be using the same voices as the ones in Dragonball Kai and the voice actors aren’t as great as how the original Dragonball Z cast were.

    Me too, oh you might want to check out something on Gamefaqs, I browsing there for more info in DBZ Budokai HD Collection and oh boy I got chills when I saw  the other box cover I doubt its real in gamefaqs, in the box cover it shows Super Dragon Ball Z, Budokai 3 & Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on it makes me wish this was the Dragon Ball Z: HD Collection XD

    Don’t worry, Adult Gohan voice will be same as his Z voice cause I if you play Raging Blast 2 English voices will have Kai voices only Kid and teen has his kai voice but his adult voice will be similar to Z XD

    Yeah, some of DB GT don’t make sense and are BSing. I agree with you, Toei Animation made this and also made DBZ movies.

    For DB GT episodes / Movie, I think they are made by different people from a different company or a different brand.

    Akira, the DBZ manga creator, had nothing to do with the movies. Sometimes, I feel Toei Animation creators don’t respect Akira’s works or wants. I dunno maybe it’s me.

    It’s just like what Anime creators did to Naruto / Naruto Shippuden TV series – Fillers, weird/bad drawings and colors, etc. But I understand why fillers are needed to put in the Anime.

    The movie is not yet finished and as you can see Akira Toriyama will be deeply involved in this movie. This is just a “teaser” trailer basically showing off the animation.

    I don’t really care that you don’t like DBZ. To each his own. But I’d like to take this lovely opportunity to remind you that Naruto and Sasuke have kissed. Naruto has also been chasing after Sasuke (who wants nothing to do with him) for the past 450 chapters or so. That seems more gay than martial arts.     Well i hate to spoil every thing but…. this movie is going to be a waste of time because it is about some little ass kids…. no adult goku or adult vegeta….it is going to have a kid goku or kid trunks and goten… yep so we all have to look forward to no ss1 ss2 or ss3 forms just a little kid goku trunks and goten…………………………..sorry what a waste of a movie. i have no idea why they keep making these kid charcters….first it started with dragonball kid goku then dragonball gt kid goku now this

    Probaply it is going to follow up on “A Hero’s Legacy”. And we are going to see it through Goku’s eyes. You know Goku Jr. & Vegeta Jr.? Well I think they will be adults & Goku will train them personally, for the danger that is coming. If the story was like that, omg im definitly going to watch it, because I want to know what happened to Goku when he went with Shenron.

    Guys, this takes place after they defeat Buu, but before Goku flies off with Uub…this doesn’t focus on Goku Jr or even pan for that matter.

    this is going to be amazing!!! i hope it stays true to the series action/story wise..no DBGT crap where the fighting is boring to watch and the animation looks weird.
    For once I have high hopes for something new in DBZ! I can sense it, this is gonna be good!!! I wonder who the villain will be! hopefully he’s badass!! freeze/cell/buu worthy! I wonder if goku will reach a new transformation or something too! something like the false super saiyan form lord slugs movie! I hope they keep coming out with new movies that they put a lot of effort into too! This is going to be greaaaat!!!

    Well After the shitty Live Action Movie and this actually being animated this will do The “DBZ Movie Series” Much Justice. Only problem is what saga. alot of the older DBZ movies kind of taken placen “mid sagas” and made sence in a way, but DBZ is well over and GT kind of killed it in more ways then one but……. With Kai the Rebirth of DBZ feels good, but where will this movie be… is it a DBZ Kai movie or a ” DBZ Movie 14″ ….. I’m so lost but happy o-o

    @robert hill it has been comfirmed that this is going to be a totally new movie not a DBZ Kai remaster. it takes place between the 10 year gap after goku defeated Majin Buu and the GT series. its going to fill in the holes as to what happened to the Z fighters in that time period. It will be released in japan march 30 2013. their has been no comfirmed date for the US yet BUT it will be released in the US as the united states has been chosen as a partner country in production of the movie so it will hit the US sometime… we just don’t know when.

    I can’t guarantee it, but I would like to say the chances of a dub are far better than any of those “specials” everyone keeps using to compare to this movie. If you don’t already know, lots of people say their won’t be a dub because none of the recent specials ever got an English dub, ‘Goku and Friends Return”, “Episode of Bardock”, the new Dragonball Raging blast mini-movie. In any case, none of those were truly made by AT, so they weren’t required to have a dub. But this movie is completely legitimate, made by AT, considered canon, “takes place between 516 and 517 of the manga”, actual Movie #, and every other movie ever made was translated into multiple languages. The English voice actors are still working and haven’t retired or died, so it’s 85-99% chance their going to do a dub in the coming year. I’d expect it around early 2014 to fall if necessary.

    Akira Toryama.. i am a DIE HARD fan of you and dragonballz. i know about dbz than any other person in the world. i have watched about every episode of dragon ball, dragonballz and dragonball GT. i have all the dvds and all the games like dbz raging blast, ragin blast 2, budokai tenkaichi, budokai tenkaichi 2, budokai tenkaichi 3, budokai 1, budokai 2, budokai 3, dbz sagas, dbz infinite world, etc.i know each and every character of dbz. even the extremely rare ones.i would love to meet you.
