One Piece 67, Naruto 61 in Top 10 (Japanese Comic Rankings, July 30 to August 05)

The 67th volume of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece hit Japanese retailers just last week on August 3, 2012. It broke first print records with 4.05 million copies of the manga being created!

The million dollar question is, how did it do in it’s first week in terms of sales? According to Japanese analytics company Oricon, One Piece 67 sold 1,754,309 copies! That’s 43% of the volumes that were printed! Very impressive when looking at it from an individual standpoint. However, it’s not One Piece’s best. Just comparing it with all of the New World chapters, it’s actually the lowest in terms of week one sales.

* Volume 62 went on sale Monday, May 2, 2011 officially, but retailers began selling it earlier. It sold 1,788,455 in it’s first official week and 579,127 before it’s release date for 2,367,582 total.

As for Naruto manga Volume 61, it sold a solid 847,826 copies in it’s first week and another 309,453 in it’s second week.

Personally, I didn’t say one piece was better than naruto. I said one piece was more popular than naruto worldwide. I said that the user believed naruto was better and most of the world believes otherwise. But personally, I do think that OP is better and it has a large fanbase around the world. How can you wholeheartedly tell someone to skip 460 episodes dafaq is wrong with you?? Konan PLEASE start from the beginning of OP to see character development it’s one of the reasons people love one piece. It’s OK to skip some arcs but you much see the beginning 180 episodes first, take your time. You have to reach the climax of the series before you’ve even grown to love the characters…

Fairy Tail Manga is 100% better than the anime but if you only watch anime then that’s fine. Fairy Tail anime is heavily censored to appeal to kids Loads of filler episodes and fanservice thought to an extent it develops characters that are not elaborated upon in the manga.

+ The show in colour and motion is awesome
- Natsu’s fire is a like an orange haze yuck
- Heavily censored with freezeframe punches swords never cut people. No blood where shown in the manga.

I would say it was a flaw but over sight. Itachi’s story lacked clarity. You waste an eye to stop another’s eye, but Izanagi should only last as long as the two eye last. The masked man also said you need senju DNA for Izanagi how are member’s of the Uchiha using it for extended periods of time?

Maybe it was because this two-day war is pretty large and the only people that have died bar fodder are already dead, when Madara Uchiha keeping wanking over the face on his chest and can’t kill one Kage nothing needs to make sense.
One should be able to look past the few flaw of something they love though. I still read Bleach and Naruto, and still havent jump on the dumbass bandwagon of Plothole, HAX, noone is dying or that hipster way of thinking for bleach “I liked it when it was cool” or ” It’s not my story but it should have ended after Aizen”

If he likes it and intends to get into it then it wouldn’t matter if he watched the beginning first since he would be going to check it out anyway(If he would like it).Keep in mind that it is not skipping.Many people including myself watched the Whitebeard war before getting into it.It’s better to start at a short and great arc,than to start wanting to get into it at the beginning which started off slow and turns many people away before it gets good.

And the Naruto fans that hate on pretty much any other anime that surpass it in sales other than DBZ? Seriously dude don’t let the fanboys get in your way of watching a great show. I’m not saying that you have to be a One Piece fan to be an anime fan I’m just saying hey at least give the show a try with an open mind for at least 8 episodes and then you can trash it.

To be honest I use to be very skeptical about One Piece being a good anime but I caught a youtube video that was 400 episodes ahead in the anime and I was so impressed at how epic the scene I was watching that I finally decided to give the anime a try and finally realized how epic One Piece was.

Just like Femis Adams said. Uchiha Itachi explained how Izanami works and he said that Izanami is used to stop the arrogance of Uchiha members. But if you read Naruto chapter 587 starting from page 3 Uchiha said that like Izanagi, Izanami when use tends make you blind then again he explained on the later part that Izanami was used to stop the uchiha from over using izanagi. Then if izanagi when use makes you blind why the hell did itachi said “uchiha that were constantly using izanagi”. Not to mention you need the DNA of Senju in your blood

Oh, I’m a Naruto fan yet my favorite anime is probably FullMetal Alchemist. I don’t care about sales, honestly. They mean nothing to me. I used to watch One Piece, but stopped because I couldn’t get into it

Well I’m pretty sure he wasn’t overusing it, though. If he had overused it, I think that he’d be able to use it way more times. It’s just that compared to Itachi, Sasuke, and Madara, he hasn’t used it that much lol
