Zetsu, Kushina, Karui, Omoi and More in Naruto Storm 3?

Characters are always the biggest topic when it comes to Naruto games! The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has recently posted an entry that lists the English voice actors for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. Why is that important? Well, next to the names of the voice actors are the characters they play in the series! This includes Zetsu, Kushina, Karui, and Omoi!

Before getting too excited, Saiyan Island must make two points clear:

1. In no way does this list confirm these characters as playable. Zetsu, for example, may be in the game, but not as a controllable and playable character. Put another way, some of the voice actors may just be lending their voices for the cut scenes to tell the game’s story.

2. IMDB, a fantastic source, takes contributions from the community. In the past we’ve seen inaccurate data for media that has not yet been released. Until Naruto Storm 3 is near it’s release date or is released, the IMDB entry may not be completely valid. There may be more (or less) characters with a presence of some sort in the game.

Take this as rumor for now until revealed through official images, video, or Shonen Jump scans!

So without further ado, here is the list of English voice actors IMDB has posted for Naruto Storm 3 along with the characters they play! Again, just to be very clear, this does not mean they are confirmed playable, it just means they are supposedly in the game.

I don’t see how Hashirama will play a role at all in the war, unless he is telling the story (which makes no sense at all), or is somehow in a flashback somewhere – which is the only possible way. Unless they decided to add in some side-story mode for once you’ve completed the game. There is no other way he’d be in it o_o

I have visual proof that Hashirama is alive in the episode where Tobito brought Kabuto underground to see the Zetsus he showed him the area where they get their energy from and it looked like clay with hashirama’s face and Tobi said he’s alive but in a sleeping state then they attached Yamato to it

english dub is not bad, taking aside that thats how i watched naruto when i was younger but you got to admit, their normal voices in Japanese are more original. example, suigetsu’s voice in japanese annoys me because it sound weird but i like it because its not like the dubbed version with their generic pretty body voice just like ichigo’s which i’ve heard in a lot of different animes.

naruto dub was okay when I first got into it, but once I got into the sub version I realized it’s much better, with much more devotion, thou I’m not saying dub isn’t trying, but the censorship limits their own talent. people who say we’re HATERS are just ignorant fools cause either one they never even bothered trying out the sub version, or two their to lazy to read it. Dub is freaking amazing. I mean it. Sub is good But i prefer Dub. Sasuke’s English dubbed voice is just in a league of it’s own. no trust me, when I first got into naruto, I too thought it was just about the “cursing” but it isn’t, they censor their script to the point they don’t even sound like adults, almost like little children reading an script from grade school and to make it worst, if they run out of ideas to censor something, they’ll have the character either repeat the same phrases several times instead of just using decent sentences. that’s just censorship off the audio portion, don’t get me started on the visual aspects. think of it like pokemon, if you ever seen it in dubbed version, you’ll think it’s an light hearted show, well watch the original version. trust me.. it’s another whole ball game.

it depends if your into the manga to tell the differences, when comparing the dub vs sub, the point of censorship is to make it appeal to the younger age, those who watch only the dub would had never thought it could be any darker. you’re right, naruto isn’t lighthearted, but shippuden wise, its an different story, especially the dub version, again not saying shippuden in general is lighthearted, I just feel part 1 was darker. even the dub version is compared to shippuden.

Not to jump into a war, but I love dub because it offers way more variety. Their are so many different accents with can only be heard in dub. I will admit that there are some horrible dub voices, but dub has its own unique qualities like sub may have… ^ ^

I mostly agree with you, (I watch all dubbed except Naruto and Death Note), the voice acting, along with the censorship, is god-awful. Naruto sounds like a chain-smoker (despite both his parents having silky-smooth voices), Kakuzu’s voice is cringe-inducingly bad and sounds like a robot with a sore throat (if that makes sense), Deidara sounds like a wannabe, and much more. Its just terrible.

Like I said, I agree with you, except in Naruto’s case.

EDIT: One more example, Naruto holds the title for my worst voice actor of a good guy. That award goes to Shikamaru’s voice actor.

Oh, and the reason most scripts get changed is so the VA’s can match the lips. If you see a character say “you lied” in japanese, it looks like “you’re a liar” in english (example of course).

Hey did you notice how the voice actor for Tobi/Uchiha Madara is Neil Kaplan by Tobi meaning the serious one not the silly one because silly Tobi’s voice actor is Micheal Yurchak. Doesn’t this in a way state that Uchiha Madara will be in the game since they made this distinction for the Tobi and Madara voice actors.

Omoi:If you say Omoi would be a full playable character,I will believe you because he showed enough ninjutsus in the anime and we all know that he use his sword in the battle

Zetsu:he is useless in the anime and have no ninjutsus but if there is a one known ninjutsu for him CC2 will put him as a support character(I hope there is no support characters in storm 3.

Karui:Maybe but she’s as same as Zetsu (she didn’t show anything in the anime)

Kushina:She didn’t show ANYTHING in the Anime or the Manga so they have to wait until Road To Ninja so they can put her as DLC character

and as you all know madara used Mokuton (Wood Element),(Fire Ball jutsu),he has the Rinnengan and Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and Susano’o (it’s a purple susano’o)

I’m not a dub hater, naruto started for me in english. But at some point I just got more used to the japanese voices. Though I’m not a hater I do have a problem with some of the voice actors. Some of them are just very bad casted. Ofc Sasuke, Kakashi and many more are awesome but the japanese dub is just more true to (all) the characters

Even when this game comes out he won’t be referred to as “Obito”, he’ll still be called “Tobi”, and he’ll continue to be called Tobi in every Naruto game from here to the end of time because that’s the character’s persona. They’re including in the game everything that happens after the Pain Arc in the ANIME, so if the Anime reaches the part where Tobi’s mask is broken and his Identity (Not official, could be just his body and someone manipulating it) is revealed, then it will be added in the game, that’s just if those Episodes are released before Spring 2013, which is almost impossible because they keep doing filler episodes.

Flame-Pattern Mask Tobi, Akatsuki Tobi (Orange mask) (Serious, not goofy because Goofy Tobi no longer makes appearance after the Pain Arc, except he said 2 Sentences to Kisame with his Goofy voice after Itachi died), and War-Outfit Tobi. This is gonna be awesome! I hope they make a costume for Akatsuki Tobi without his Right Arm and the top of his mask destroyed revealing both of his sharingan (During the battle with Konan) and a costume for War Tobi unmasked. (Tobi is not Officially Obito, it could be just his body being manipulated by someone else)

I really don’t understand some people on this website. It’s like they get this urge and comment statements claiming they’re facts. Like saying Naruto dub is shit. And DBZ has great dub in Eng? LOL. People are letting they’re childhood get to their fucking heads. And btw DBZ is my childhood. Yu Yu Hakusho had great cast but needed a better script. The Japanese script was 5x better than the English. The JPN voice actors did great job too. Not only that but they’re professional singers. Something they proved in the 90′s in Eizou Hakusho.

But back to Naruto. Poor choice of cast. Censoring? There’s no visuals/scenes being censored. The correct term is “edit”. If you mean censorship like on Disney XD doesn’t your brain tell you why it’s being censored? Itunes, Playstation Store or DVD the Eng dub has scripts that are edited for good reasons. And I’m not sure why people can’t understand the simple truth. Literal translation from one language to another won’t sound right or correctly to someone for example “English speakers”. No matter what the dub haters say it has to be done. This isn’t only for anime its for all foreign films. Well, most of them. And people need to stop with “Japanese cast are always superior”. You just sound like J-Tards just like kissing ass to the Japanese when you don’t know shit. I watch Naruto in Japanese with subs. If I’m all caught up and there’s new English dubbed episodes released I’ll watch that too. I see flaws in both languages. People think that the Japanese casting or voice acting is perfect? I’ll give you some examples for Japanese cast.

Naruto- Once he speaks in smooth tone he sounds ok but can sound rough at the same time. It doesn’t look right at times for the character. (i know he is voiced by a woman) Trying to make the voice sound mature. Its too noticeable. In the first Naruto arc when he was little the voice was ok. But he’s older now and it doesn’t look right on him. I’m sure people will disagree with me because they’ve been watching it in Japanese for so long they either don’t care or can’t notice it. English voice for Naruto is kind of the same thing. They’re both females trying to sound like matured teenage males. Its not easy. But its not an excuse.

Tsunade- Doesn’t matter if she’s using some jutsu to pretend she’s young and she’s old. She still made her self young. She doesn’t sound young at all. The Eng dub voice actress is a lot better in my opinion and sounds more appropriate for the characters age.

Raikage Ay- Voice doesn’t fit the character at all. Plain and simple. But English dub voice actor does from what I’ve head in Naruto Generations.

Neji- I have no problem with Neji now in Shippuden but i was shocked when hearing his voice in Naruto the first show. Didn’t look right. The same can be said about the English voice actor in the first Naruto show. But in both languages in Shippuden they’re good.

Konohamaru- In Shippuden he sound awful. Even the English voice isn’t great but a little better since it sounds more boyish.

Ok. That’s only small portion of flaws i find in Japanese dub. Hell i even included English too for people won’t jump too conclusions with me. It happens a lot around here in this site. What I’m trying to say is THERE IS FLAWS IN BOTH ENGLISH AND JAPANESE DUBS! Neither one is more perfect than the other. So people need to shut up and stop claiming false facts. Respect eachothers opinions. I don’t see how that is hard for people to do. It’s 2012 wake up and grow up! Grow up and accept eachother. We all like the same shit here! ANIME, MANGA, VIDEO GAMES, Naruto etc. Pointless fighting. Any reason is still an invalid reason. Some people on here give the anime community a bad name. Not only here but in general as well.

If this list is accurate it’s incomplete. Several characters haven’t been added yet as they don’t even have a Japanese voice actor yet let alone an English one. As for Obito we don’t know if the game will cover Kakashi Gaiden or make it to the newest chapters so him not being listed isn’t really a shock.
