Naruto Storm 3 Complete Scan 6 – Naruto vs Sasuke

YOSH! Yesterday’s partial Naruto Storm 3 scan featuring hack and slash battles in story mode is now available in a complete fashion! In addition to showing Sasuke battling samurai in a Naruto Impact-like manner, the new scan from Shonen Jump issue 41 shows Naruto vs Sasuke!

At the bottom left is “The Ultimate Decision” mode in which players select what path to walk in the game. The example shows Naruto taking on Sasuke in his normal state in one of the screenshots while the other shows him taking on Curse Seal Level 2. The image on the right of Naruto vs Sasuke, well, it’s likely just a cutscene, not a free battle jutsu clash.

Naruto Storm 3 will be at the Tokyo Game Show on September 22 and 23 in the form of the Third Hokage vs Nine Tailed Fox demo that was playable at the Japan Expo in France and San Diego Comic Con in the USA. There will also be a video, of which the contents are currently unannounced.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2′s fourth entry in the Storm series. It will be available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in Japan, North America, and Europe sometime Spring 2013.

Actually it doesn’t look like the valley of the end, it looks like that scene when Naruto and Sasuke clash there jutsu’s after that battle with Danzo.

i did not think they will have sasuke and naruto as a boss battle (or what ever there doing) because sasuke vs donzo battle was to close and they only did it in impact because it was the final fight. but this could be part of the ultimate decision, pick one way and you play as naruto part in the kage summit ark pick another way and play sasuke part in the kage summit arc. wow this whole ultimate decision thing might be realy fun caint wait for the gameplay video

You people just don’t get it. Clashes were removed for a reason, and that reason is that if you look at Generations barely 20 characters, counting the PTS, would be able to clash if there was jutsu clash. Also it’s a very rare event.

For wall fights, they interrupted the gameplay way too much. When you wanted to go to a wall you either had to be knocked there or launch the CPU there. and they didn’t even last 10 seconds as you could easily fall and, again, interrupt the gameplay and the fight.

The Long Ougis, while fun to watch, interrupted the gameplay and you had to sit there and stare at that 30 seconds long thing that you see everyday every hour when playing Storm 1. And look at the rage quitters. No one would sit there and wait for your ultimate to finish. Even if you don’t play online, a lot of people do and they would ask CC2 to go back to short ougis, and making short ougis for online only would be a waste of space.

Thk god their not using those shitty anime cut scenes, now they are bringing the real deal of video game enhanced animation like from storm 2!!! This will be one epic game! I bet the Sasuke vs Danzo fight will be crazy cool! Also jutsu clashes, wall running, and longer jutsu’s are very awesome so i wouldn’t mind them adding that feature back. Why not? Also I dont give a hoot about the online mode but more or so on the actual freaking game!

tbh i couldnt care less with the wall fights , clashes , blood , etc..

1) In terms of what you have said, there appears to be no justification for removing them. As you said its a rare event, but by that logic its an extra feature that will appeal to those who want it, and won’t effect those who won’t in the slightest anyway, so simply removing it just for the sake of it is quite honestly wasteful.

2) I agree to an extent, it was nice at times but annoying at others, perhaps the ability to knock characters into different stages would be better.

3) Despite being the pivotal feature of the ultimate ninja games, the quality of those ougis was generally better (storm 2s were cheap, but I will admit many in generations were like storm 1s quality). In terms of length, the ougis we saw recently were very close to storm 1s anyway, and the difference in time is somewhat justified by the fact that you had an active role in those extra seconds anyway (the command buttons that determined whether move was successful, adding a gameplay element).

As for rage quitters, the solution is simple, and its quite shameful it hasn’t already been implemented. For the most part if the ougi is done early on, chances are they will keep fighting, but what about the scenario where they will quit? Easy, apply standard tournament rules, if you quit, you forfeit and therefore the opponent wins, and in terms of enjoying the cinematics, they could simply display a notification saying the opponent has left the match, but have the ougi continue to play so you can still enjoy it.

Im sure you may say something along the lines of “they wouldn’t do that because that’s taking to much time after the person has quit to display something”. Well answer me this, can you not just leave the screen after it shows your ranking after a match, for an undetermined amount of time? Despite the fact that your opponent would most likely have moved on.

For Jutsu clashes, they could be doing something better. A minority of characters would be able to do it, while another 50 wouldn’t. It would be very pointless, and they could do something better. It would be good if they gave a secondary jutsu for clashing purposes for most of the characters, that I could accept.

For the ragequitting yes, that could work but the long ougis would still make the match slow and boring.

Again it wouldn’t matter, your not making space for anything new, you can have both, why are you so adamant over removing something that you determine as pointless, but which doesn’t effect any new features, whether it be adding extra jutsus etc. Why remove a feature that some people like, and add a new feature…when you can keep that feature and still add the new one too. In one scenario only yourself and others have features they want, in another everyone does, without at all effecting the new features at all, so the first scenario is simply illogical.

And that depends on the quality of the ougi, I admit that is a possibility but I found many in storm 2 to make matches boring and to unnaturally effect the flow of battle, yet the ougis were much shorter. However in generations we saw ougis that were short yet had the quality and fluid motion of storm 1, so that is a matter of how well designed the Ultimates are, and not the time. A well designed, longer ultimate, where the time is increased to accommodate the command buttons and to increase the cinematics (this would only be a few seconds longer than the most recent Ultimates we have seen, and again the extra time you have an active role in) would be brilliant.

Ok I have a theory. In the Ultimate Decision Scan it looks like the left image is of Sasuke vs Naruto when they first meet during Shippuden. Now the RIGHT image in my opinion kinda looks like when Itachi put Naruto under that genjutsu and Naruto started seeing like everyones face on his body. So. Does this mean Storm 3 is basically going to have an extended more thorough version of Storm 2′s story plus the Gokage Arc and the War? I suppose it would make sense. CC2 would need SOME WAY to lengthen the game.

That’s one thing I wanted in this game. I thought the story mode in storm 2 was quite detailed, but in certain parts was quite lazy, and resorted to in-game mechanics to carry out some of the conversations, so a more thorough version would be a step up from an already great mode

It’s like an alternate ending. You choose to play this way and the story will lead you to the final fight being sasuke and naruto normal or you choose another way and it will lead you to the final fight being sasuke (Curse) and naruto. It’s almost like fable, just not as deep.

NOTE: I don’t now if the final fight will be naruto and sasuke, it was just an example for an easy explanation.

I know, but considering it’s some seperate random gamemode, not the campaign. It means that character is likely in the game. Possibly copying the Part 1 Characters from Generations over to Storm 3.

In storm 1 you could pick the command input for Ultimates, whether it be mashing, pressing a set of buttons in a specific order, or by spinning the analog stick. They could do the same for clashes, perhaps also allow the host of the match to pick before people join.

Sasuke looks smart with that clash with naruto he’s holding his hand in close range so he can dodge if something happens naruto on the other hand not so smart his hand is waaaaay behind him which isn’t that smart i mean lightning is wild & sasuke can stream his chidori while in a clash like that as u can see the lightning flaring out

this ultimate decision thing is confusing me, is it changing how the fight goes, the cut scene, or the story? and that really looks like pts cm sasuke but he is clearly fighting shippuden naruto.

Maybe they will give us an Alternate Version of Susano’o Sasuke when you press Right Bumper.
One will be Kage Summit Arc Sasuke. And the other will be EMS Sasuke during the War.

The difference will be: A different Awakening: It will be Final Susano’o.

His outfit will Change: The shirt will be zipped up. And he will have the EMS pattern in his Eyes.

EMS Sasuke, doesn’t really need a whole new Character. A variation would do it.

Why not? It’s the symbolism between the friendship/hatered of Naruto and Sasuke. It’s like their trademark when they fight together, so it’s important.

The clashes shoud come back in Storm 3, because its epic and cool ^^. On the right side of the picture with sasuke and naruto thy clash with rasnegan and shidori you can see Naruto without this Konoha headband i hope we can play with him without this Konoha headband it would be so Cool !!

That’s one thing I don’t like is how they make a whole different character of one person. 4 different Narutos and Sasukes is annoying. Just let us customize the specials like in Ultimate Ninja 3 and if you want to have different move sets then allow us to pick that like we pick the Ninja Tools in Generations (except let us customize online). Then that way, we can choose a certain clothe style for Sasuke (and whoever else) and still use a different Special/Moveset.

For example: Say I want to choose Sasuke, after we choose Sasuke, I choose his outfit, If I want to choose the outfit he debuted in Shippuden (with the white saggy shirt) then allow me to choose a special and moveset. So with this outfit, I could choose Special of Susano’o and with the moveset of Taka Sasuke. See how much different that would be? The game is just missing customization and it would be perfect.

It’s like the Naruto vs Sasuke fight in Storm 2, where it would flashback to their fight in Part 1. This gives you a choice of whether you’d want to relive the fight with Hebi Sasuke or Part I Sasuke as part of the flashback. I don’t think the story would change that much, just your opponent and the following QTE’s
