Naruto Storm 3 Partial Scan – Hack and Slash Battles

YOSHODEMO!!! That’s not a real word, but it communicates Saiyan Island’s excitement for this new Naruto Storm 3 partial scan! As you can see below, hack and slash battles are confirmed! This is similar to the type of battle found in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact for the PSP where players roam around and fight hordes of enemies. The latest scan shows Sasuke taking on Samuri during the Five Kage Arc.

Saiyan Island is pretty sure this is part of story mode, but the question is, will this be how story mode plays out completely? In other words, in Storm 2 players just ran around freely until they were met with a person standing around who challenged them to a normal or giant boss battle fight. Will Storm 3′s story mode be filled with this kind of hack and slash (in addition to giant boss battles and normal battles)? We aren’t sure at this point in time, but we’d certainly dig it!

Also, from our understanding (and we could be wrong) there is a new system called “The Ultimate Decision” where players will be able to follow different paths in the game. We hope to have more info on this once it is revealed.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2′s fourth entry in the Storm series. It will be available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in Japan, North America, and Europe sometime Spring 2013.

Ultimate Decision feature sounds cool, to me it seems like there is more than one ending to the story mode. I means think about it, the main word here is ‘decision’. I think thhat depending on how well or the path you take will have an effect on the ending of the story, meaning there might be more than one ending to the story more, Good ending, and bad ending (the entire shinobi allience is wiped out by Uchiha Madara LOL)

I Like the fact that they change the story mode gameplay every game, gives us something new everytime. though they were being lazy with generations story mode, i really wish they would have made it different. and the Ultimat Decision, i LOVE <3 that they added that in the game. because some of the choices we pick can end up showing us new parts of the naruto stories that arnt in the Manga or anime. so I think thats a great thing to have in the game

Hack and Slash battles for the new game sound pretty awesome. Since Sasuke will be a part of this new mode battle the Samurai during Kage Summit, it can be suggested that the game will really pick up during the Kage Summit. And as Sasuke will be fighting the Samurai, I can really picture Naruto in his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode going against the White Zetsu Army. Also it could be that characters such as Kakashi or Darui would be playable against the White Zetsu. This is gonna be a pretty nice addition to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.

With,what we can see in the pic,I am guessing this is how the free roam of the game will play out,they are trying to do what they did Ultimate ninja 5 where you travel in a team, in sasukes case we will be able to travel with team taka and take on these samurais in the summit arc,well maybe this time around they’ll let us use different characters in free roam like kakashi, sasuke, sakura, gai,Naruto and many more cause all of the characters in the game will be connected to the war arc, I.E as gaara maybe will be able to take those clone zetsu’s, by the looks of it this will be a neat feature to the free roam, they should also make the free roam fun not boring and a waste of time like in storm 2,it should be more interactive.

They’re only doing everything that happens in the Anime before Spring 2013, they’re not doing anything from the manga unless it’s already been on the Anime. Why? They weren’t lazy with Generations. They gave us over an hour of ORIGINAL animation. That to me is mor than expected from a FILLER game. Its story mode was never meant to blow anyone’s mind. he’s talking about the genre as a whole so I was just telling him that his one piece isn’t the only franchise which has hack and slash games and besides the game is developed by koei and published by Namco Bandai so basically both games come from under the same roof,and by the way they’re only trying to put in variety to the storm series, which your one piece developers will never do,if you ask me I got the game imported over from japan and yes after you beat the game there is nothing else you’d like to do in it, it gets boring as garbage, unlike the storm here.

The Pain Arc took part in Storm 2, it wouldn’t make sense to start from that on Storm 3.

i think ultimate dicision mode is going be like in budokai tenkaichi 3 were the saiyans kill freeza, and to that i give you some thing that they could put in this extra story. obito wins the war and completes the moon eye plan, sasuke good and naruto evil, konan kick obitos ass.

It is a storymode battle, similar to the Kurama vs Hiruzen/Minato vs Masked Man battle. Hiruzen was able to interact with the Leaf shinobi forces, and the parts of the environment to trigger like team jutsu from other leaf ninja, and when standing in certain areas, he could get help from the original ino-shika-cho.

Because those games eliminate the entire prospect of a fighting game when they incorporate a dynasty warriors/hack and slash system. This game has added the hack and slash element without replacing the fighting system, basically you get both.

Only for the War though. Its going to be very annoying to me in my opinion, its a great idea but still. Would Naruto just randomly run into Itachi to start a boss battle (Hypothetically)? Ultimate Desicion is something I’ve heard about before, its like you can choose to go rogue or whatever. I think they’re really taking the wrong turn here. I can understand AFTER finishing the Story mode, and then have your own character and such but other than that things seem to be getting pretty wack.

Yeah SAO is EPIC. The first episode really gets to you as a viewer. Though you might have a hard time watching episode 3-7. Those episodes are just side stories. But be ready for episode 8. The story is just awesome. Still don’t compare it to FT. But yeah, if you’re talking about the first episode of FT and SAO. It’s worlds apart. The animation, direction, production, music, budget, and writing of SAO is better than FT. But I think I like FT better with the story. Though I still can’t compare it cause I haven’t watched enough SAO.

This is an amazing gameplay feature implemented. Plus, this is the best time to introduce it since this is a war we’re talking about.

Just imagine you’re playing as Naruto with B as your partner blowing up a bunch of White Zetsu all over the fucking place while other Allied Shinobi in the background do the same.
