Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is just a bit over three months away from it’s Japanese theatrical release of March 30, 2013! Toei Animation, the studio behind the movie, has released a few new promotional materials to Japanese media including a booklet, an updated poster with Pilaf, Mai, and Shu at the bottom left corner (they are very small), Dragon Ball shaped pens, and a few crisp screenshots from the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Trailer.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, but before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release date at this time for either movie.

No news on an English dub at this point in time. Only a Japanese version for Japan has been announced.

It looks like Goku SSJ3 is childs play to Birusu. This means the Z-Fighters have to be ready for worst!!!

It will be great to see Goku fight an antagonist on King Kai’s Planet and in Space, as from what i recall Goku has never fought an antagonist on either of them locations!
