Naruto Confirmed Playable in Project Versus J?

YOSH! It looks like the Hero of the Leaf Village, Naruto Uzumaki, is confirmed playable in Project Versus J! Saiyan Island’s THE BASEDGOD was able to see the trademark orange and black jumpsuit in one of the screenshots from yesterday’s scan. We’ve blown the image up by 4 times and drawn a yellow arrow to show Naruto running toward the fray of Goku, Luffy, and Toriko. Click the screenshot below to see the larger size.

Now, in case you are wondering why we have a question mark in the title, it’s because it’s very well possible it could be some other Shonen Jump character. Sometimes when images are scanned, there is a color distortion. Or, it could be Naruto, but he is shown in some other capacity which is not necessarily playable. If you ask Saiyan Island though, we think he will be playable! After all, how can Shonen Jump celebrate 45 years of success without one of their biggest franchises! For now, please consider this a rumor.

Project Versus J is a fighting game in development for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Sony PlayStation Vita. The game will be published by Namco Bandai Games. A release date has not yet been announced for Japan, Europe, or North America.

    I increased the Image’s size more and that’s definitely Naruto.You can see his blond hair,his headband,and the bandage wrapped around his right leg.

    Help me, I have a xbox 360 old, he had a flash drive configured, spent much of the memory pen drive up to get to 299 mb, bought a new xbox, my fifa 13 is saved on the flash drive, I can play it on my new xbox, is the game I like, I need to reconfigure? or has somehow pass it to the new xbox memory without losing my save game?
    Note: If you configure must have at least 1gb? If, as has delete old games and recover enough memory to configure it again?

    That’s definitely Naruto and he’s obviously going to be in the game as he’s one of the most popular characters to put in this. You can’t have a anime battle royale game and leave out Naruto.

    Ichigo is sure to be in it also.

    who gives a damn if its not coming to America! since its region free, it’ll still be playable on American PS3′s. The only problem we’re going to have is navigating through the menu’s and understanding the voices since its still in japanese. But besides that I’m SUPER excited for this game! :D

    jump ultmate stars had huge support to be localised but couldnt because of licensing, and there was so many represented series that people didnt care about that the process probably was too much, the japanese are happier with these games and the chances of localising are so slim.

    oh and seriously, luffy looks so good in this game

    Because, I don’t want to play a game that contains a language that I’m not fluent in unless it has subtitles in the language that I speak and that will not happen unless this game either comes to America or atleast Europe.

    This probably won’t be released in America but still Dragon Ball Z and One Piece are both dubbed from the same company. Not only that Toriko english dubbed is being released by Funimation next month so maybe it won’t be a big licening disaster like Jump Ultimate Stars. If we ask then maybe they just might release this in America. The only companies they need are Viz and Funimation since Viz owns Shone Jump and Naruto in America we’ve already seen that Viz and Funimation are good friends so hopefully they give this game a shot.

    Tell me where it says it isn’t? This game was just confirmed about a week ago dude, we didn’t even know what this game looked like until a couple of days ago. Information for games doesn’t just happen at the snap of a finger, you have to be patient. Even if this game doesn’t come to America there still may be a chance that it will come to Europe and if it comes to Europe then America will eventually get a copy too. It most likely won’t be a physical copy but it will at least be available to us via digital download thanks to the fact that Namco Bandai Games Europe and Namco Bandai Games America merged in order to give as many Japanese games to Europeans and Americans as possible :D

    I’ll tell you that past SJ crossover games haven’t made it overseas. Why? because of Licensing issues. So, yeah you’re right, we don’t know if it’s going outside Japan but looking at history it is high unlikely that it’ll be released else where.

    If Naruto is not in it,then seriously? this game is supposed to be celebrating Shonen Jump and one of the main franchises who is most of the time on the cover is not in it. Even if that’s not Naruto(but it seems it is) he’s mostly gonna be confirmed playable. Anyway, I’m not that thrilled about this esp when a release date hasn’t been announced for NA,let alone not sure if it’ll have an actual NA release.

    Why are you so grumpy?This game is being made for Japan,not another country so why would they announce it for NA right after announcement?.Also They announced the game like a week ago and everyone is already whining about Naruto.Since when were they required to announce certain characters right off the bat?Why should you be thrilled since the game isn’t even for NA,and you don’t seem willing to import?

    Awesome! They just need the rights for some Fairytail and bleach characters (most likely bleach is in there) and a release for everywhere and not just japan. Believe it or not anime/manga are really famous in the west, well at-least the top 4 NA and Eu manga’s. I will get this game for sure.

     I’m sorry I didn’t know you could read my emotions. All I said was that most likely Naruto was gonna be in the game while trying to be sarcastic. Personally it doesn’t matter to me,and me not being thrilled was my opinion. When I say I’m not thrilled, meaning me and it does not affect anyone else.     Pretty sure it’s Naruto, playable is the question, but I seriously doubt they’d leave him out.

    It’s an “Ultimate Jump” game, where they showed artwork of different characters underneath the scan that people can request once the form opens.

    There is very, very, little doubt in my mind that Naruto will be in it as playable.

    DBZ isn’t part of the big three. It’s in a league of it’s own. And the 3 franchises they’ve confirmed have nothing to do with popularity, just that they’ve had one shot manga crossovers.

    In total sales of currently running Shonen manga, Naruto is still a part of the big three (#2, but way behind OP).

    Licensing will prevent it, I can almost guarantee that. It was the same for the previous 2 Jump games.

    If the gameplay looks decent, I plan on importing. But i get that you would like it in your native language, as would I.

    CC2 is not Namco Bandai. CC2 is a developer and NB is the publisher. Namco Bandai contracts CC2 as a third party to make games for them, they are not a part of the same company.

    It most likely is for JP only unfortunately. The previous two Jump games were never localized due to licensing issues with dubbing companies outside Japan.

    I personally think it should have been DBZ, One Piece, and Naruto. i dont really like one piece, but i at least have a basic knowledge of plot and characters. Toriko is something i dislike (and have no interest for) more than one piece and its not like i hate one piece i just didn’t like it. how toriko beat out naruto in the top 3 for this game beats me. actually my dream choices would have been Bleach instead of One Piece, but i have learned to accept the fact that the popularity of Bleach has dropped.

    since the name is ultimate jump game (just like jump ultimate stars) I think it will include all the famous manga from Shonen jump and not like D.O.N which resembles Dragon Ball – One Piece – Naruto in it’s name

    If this is like jump ultimate stars but on a bigger scale then ichigo, natsu, rin okumura, naruto, plus other characters from each series should be in this game, not to mention all the other awesome fighters in other jump manga . That would truly make this epic and a good replacement for storm 3 once it gets stale  :T

    Epic Showdown: Super Saiyan Goku vs Naruto in Bijuu Mode. Since this is a fighting game, the characters will be balanced, and I hope it has clashes like in the Dragon Ball and early Naruto games. Imagine clashing Bijuu Bomb with Spirit Bomb
