One Piece: Romance Dawn – 167,103 Copies Sold in Week 1

The Japanese data gathering and analysis company, Media Create, has released sales numbers for video games sold between the dates of December 17 and 23, 2012. In week 1 at Japaanese retailers, 167,103 copies of One Piece: Romance Dawn had 167,103 were sold! That puts it as the second highest One Piece game sold since 2008 during it’s first week in Japan! Only the Straw Hats’ HD debut on the PS3 did better!

  1. One Piece: Pirate Warriors (Sony PlayStation 3, released March 2012) – 655,774
  2. One Piece: Romance Dawn (Sony PSP, released December 2012) – 167,103
  3. One Piece: Gigant Battle (Nintendo DS, released September 2010) – 131,854
  4. One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 (Nintendo DS, released November 2011) – 116,062
  5. One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Special (Nintendo 3DS, released May 2011) – 80, 488
  6. One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 1 (Nintendo Wii, released February 2009) – 61,009
  7. One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 2 (Nintendo Wii, released September 2008) – 45,000

The game was also the second most sold in Japan in the week of December 17 to December 23, 2012:

  6. (3DS) – New Super Mario Bros. 2 (Nintendo) – 107,156
  7. (3DS) – Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone Neppū/Raimei (Level 5) – 94,907
  8. (WiiU) – New Super Mario Bros. U (Nintendo) – 77,749
  9. (3DS) – Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (Pokémon Company) – 75,628
  10. (Wii) – Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Chogouka-Ban (Namco Bandai) – 51,713

    its a shame this game isnt very good, it doesnt have heaps of thought in the enemies, plus no skypiea and don kreig is soooo hard, also moria. i sure love one piece but this game, so disappointing

    well for me this game is the hardest one piece game but with hard work this is a good game and i almost stop playing this because of that don krieg guy but if you level up to 12 you can kick his ass youll get stock in some parts of the game because you need to level up again us i said this is the hardest one piece game its not rpg for nothing

    I doubt it, the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon franchise will NEVER acquire the same success that the original Pokemon franchise has. Mystery Dungeon may do better than One Piece, but not by much but if they compared this to Black and White 2 however….
