Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Character Art, Updated Cast

Toei Animation has released Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods character art featuring a host of your favorites, including Goku and Vegeta! In case you are wondering why everybody is dressed up, well, it’s because they are celebrating Bulma’s birthday!

Additionally, they’ve released an updated cast of voice actors that features the Japanese voice actors of Dragon Ball Kai, most of which who were part of the original Dragon Ball Z cast. The characters not in Kai (Buu, Pilaf, Shu, Mai) will have the voice actors from the original Japanese Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series reprising their roles! The only exception is Chiaotzu, who’s voice actor has not been revealed. It’s expected, however, his Japanese DBZ and Dragon Ball Kai, Hiroko Emori, will take on the role.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, but before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release date at this time for either movie.
