Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods HQ (high quality) Scans featuring screenshots, event information, and the Japanese arcade game Dragon Ball Heroes have been released! Click on each thumbnail to see the image in it’s glorious full size!
The first scan is exactly the same as the one posted in Saiyan Island’s Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods – Bils vs Gohan, Buu, 18 post. The only difference is now you can enjoy the screenshots of Bils, Gohan, Buu, Vegeta, and 18 in HQ!
The second scan talks about some of the events and products related to Dragon Ball.
The first event mentioned is “Akira Toriyama: The World of DRAGONBALL”. It will display Toriyama-sensei’s manuscripts, an age timeline of the Dragon Ball world, and an original video. The event will be held in three locations: Tokyo (Nihonbashi Takashimaya Department Store) from March 27, 2013 April 15, 2013, Osaka (Hanshin Department Store) from April 17, 2013 to April 23, 2013, and Nagoya (Matsuzakaya Museum at the Matsuzakaya Department Store) from July 27, 2013 to September 1, 2013. The price for admission has not yet been revealed.
The second event mentioned is the “Dragon Ball Z Festival”. There, visitors can take part in an interactive video where they can put themselves in Goku’s shoes and shoot the Kamehameha! There will also be a Super Saiyan Quiz and a gallery where featuring all of Goku’s battles. This event will take place at Toei Kyoto Studio Park in Kyoto from March 16, 2013 to September 8, 2013. The price of admission is free for those attending the theme park.
The last item is promotion for databooks, which will cover the world of Dragon Ball in an extensive fashion. There will be four volumes, releasing on February 4th, March 4th, April 4th, and May 9th, respectively. Also mentioned is the Dragon Ball Z manga being redone in full color! The Saiyan saga will be released in three volumes on February 04, 2013, while the Freeza saga will be comprised of five volumes, to be released on April 04, 2013.
The third scan mentions there will be early screenings across Japan for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Shueisha magazines, including Shonen Jump and V-Jump, will feature lottery tickets for a chance to see the movie on March 12, 2013 in one of five locations (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo), over two weeks before the movie is officially released! 884 entries will be chosen. Each winner will receive two tickets, for up to 1768 people enjoying the movie early. Those in Tokyo will get to enjoy a special introductory greeting by some of the cast of the movie.
The scan adds there will also be an early screening on March 16, 2013 at Tokyo’s Differ Ariake arena. This, a separate promotion, allows for 250 pairs of tickets to be won, for up to 500 to enjoy the movie early. The fifth and final scan talks about Jump Festa 2013, which included a Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Panel. Japanese voice actors for Goku/Gohan/Goten (Masako Nozawa), Krillen (Mayumi Tanaka), and Piccolo (Toshio Furukawa) alongside the movie’s director (Masahiro Hosoda), and Toei Animation producer (Gyarmath Bogdan) were on hand to talk about the movie.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, but before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release date at this time for either movie.
