Nope. Those are Taka and 2 Sasuke slots. The sharingan slots are Edo tensei slots, so Madara will be under one of the konoha marks somewhere.

That the mysterious 81. slot. Nobody knows what that is. But my guess is thats similar to the dlc slot of Mortal Kombat. So maybe it’s for future additions.

Hashirama is continuously brought up in shippuden especially by the most anticipated character Madara who he also is a rival of sorts. They would not fail to put him in the game, who wouldnt want a Hashira vs Madara battle

My belief on each of the missing spots? First row is obviously Naruto, then we have a spot between Chouji and Ino which is odd. It has to be a member of the leaf, and usually team mates are right next to each other, so probably Butterfly Chouji. We have four Sharingan marks, so it might be different forms of Tobi and Madara. Team Taka is the rest, with two more Sasukes. Second row? A bit odd since we have two sand, so likely Shukaku or a different Gaara is in here. Or we have a new Sand Shinobi. The other mark of the sand is likely Granny Chiyo. The rest of the row is Akatsuki with Tobi’s original form as the one that is broken up. The next row is dominated by the Leaf, and are likely the Kages for the first four before Tsunade. Danzo might be next after her. Which leaves three more leaf spots. Jiraiya is likely a member. As well as some of the unknowns. Likely high ranking members of the Leaf. Shizune is possible but unlikely. Kushina, again, a possibility. Kurenai? Unlikely to be in this row. The next spot after the Leaf is the General of the Land of Iron. After that we have Hanzo. Then the Jinchuriki with Fuu and counting down. After Yugito we have two members of Kirigakure, likely some of the seven swordsman. Most likely Zabuza. Toss up, but probably Haku as well. Then we have Orochimaru and another form of Kabuto, though Orochimaru may be on the next line and this is Kimimaro. Final row? Darui and A, followed by Onoki, Mei, and another member of Kumogakure, likely Ginkaku/Kinkaku. Then we go on to support only most likely, with two members of the Leaf (Likely Danzo’s guard), likely whichever remains in the Ginkaku/Kinkaku pair. And then the bodyguards for Iwagakure and Kirigakure. More Konoha? Honestly I do think everyone from the Leaf might be playable if that is true. So six more members of the Leaf. And a Sand member? Pakura? Baki? Unlikely to be Gaara’s father. With Orochimaru/Kimimaro likely rounding out the end.

This leaves 8 members of the Leaf I have no idea who it would be. But that would be my guess. Sorry for the Wall O’ Text

If Choza or Kurenai are in, I doubt that would be the slot. They like to keep like things together, and all the Rookies are in that line, having a Jounin that wasn’t part of their generation would be odd and atypical of what ever other slot says.

The only problem then is balancing those additions. Of course, if DLC characters are made possible, then we could have a whole bevy of possible characters, even made and balanced after the fact. It would even likely be a winning proposition for CC2.

We have a number of unknown slots, and it is possible Anko might be one of them. Shizune as well. Neither are very likely, but Anko is more probably from a move standpoint.

Team Taka is going to be in the game, and there are not enough Otogakure or what have you slots. It is likely they are there. Otherwise Itachi would be in there, along with every form of Tobi and Madara. There simply aren’t enough slots that way.

I think there 81 characters

The characters that are not returning (leaving out supports) will be the konoha 12, 3 sand and 1 and 2 hokage. Kimimaro is still up in the air, but if we assume he’s going to be in (since he was in the war) that would be 55 not 56 (72-17=55, if Kimimaro is not coming back 72-18=54). This leaves room for at least 1 and no more than 2 characters to be added to your list. The only character thats not on your list that I think will be in storm 3 is Edo Nagato. As for your list, ems sasuke hasn’t been confirmed a new character (meaning getting his own character slot). From what we’ve seen so far ems sasuke is no different from ms sasuke with the exception of the UJ, in which case he would be in the same character slot (like kirin and true spear sasuke). Your analysis was good, but had a few flaws.

The “sharingans” are just the symbol of Rinnegan Obitos Mask, therefore Edo Tensei characters. The Sharingan is practically the white mask. The Uchiha symbols are 2 more Sasukes and the rest of Taka, probably.

I pretty sure I’ve figured who those blue characters are and a lot of other characters on the roster. Sadly I think the blue characters are indeed support only because there is one cloud village and I’m sure that slot is C. He was show as a support character for Darui for the demos. The others are just the other Kages aids. The character under Temari is most likely Rinnegan Tobi as the jinchuriki’s 7-2 village symbols follow it. The sharingan symbol between the Akatsuki is Tobi. Chiyo is either next to Temari or Gaara. There are two other sand village symbols and leave room for the 4th Kazekage and another sand ninja. If you count all the leaf ninja from Generations which equals 28 means there are 6 new leaf ninja characters.

Alright here is my assumption! if you see there is only one waterfall, so that has to be for Yu and the 5 on the right of that are the jinchuriki. I think the sharingan/rinnegan symbols are revived characters like Hanzo an maybe itatchi/nagato. I think the symbol below temari is only Hanzo and the symbol in between the akatsuki is Obito rinnegan. I really want to know who the sand in the corner is…. it’s bugging me. Nah I think that is Hashirama’s spot. I think that symbol is meant to represent the ‘will of fire’. I remember in one episode it was at the third hokage’s grave.

the people playing the game on the screen are really bad and keep trying for supers and ultimate jutsus, its pretty terrible, and many sasukes and narutos are going to have separate slots again which is annoying, some news makes me happy to get this but other stuff like this video and its unchanged gameplay from 5 years ago kills my buzz…

I also think those are to confuse people, because what about the Edo Kage? There is one slot ont he final row on the far right, which is a Sunagakure Symbol. The only one i could think of is the 4th Kazekage and right next to him is probably Kimimaro, whiich makes me think if it isn´t either Chiyo just in her Edo Tensei From without her puppets.

So how far is the story going? Is it just ending with the Gaara vs Father fight or then skip to Madara or maybe even a made up battle? The only characters i can think of for the Konohagakure Symbols are those like Shizune, Anko, Kurenai or maybe even Iruka, because they said something about adding characters that fans demanded for a long time or something like that.

My guess is that this isn´t the final character select screen at all and they just wanted to screw with us by putting those symbols on the free spots or maybe it is the final select screen and the Spot for the down left corner is to expand the screen for other characters.
The symbol has like 3 flames inside, with one being orange and the other two blue.

Maybe they rly meant over 80 characters not only without counting the support but also without counting the various editions of one sole character, like the 3 Naruto variations.

Isn’t anyone else worried about the lack of new move sets? Why would you want to pay $60 to get the same move sets we got in the last game? Also, I really hope that isn’t the screen shot of the final roster because it would seem that the 7 Swordsmen of the Mist and Ginkaku and Kinkaku and other characters wouldn’t make it in as playable.

I noticed that in the Kabuto line it has cloud, mist, rock, rock, mist, waterfall. it’s the jinchuriki but in reverse order, it’s 7,6,5,4,3,2. But Bee is below, so maybe these symbols don’t mean anything or aren’t in order. I thought that the blue were the Jinchuriki, but it’s missing the Waterfall symbol for 7. It is NOT support because there aren’t any.
the Anbu symbol is obviously Danzo.
What also doesn’t make sense is all the Sharingan and Uchiha symbols. there won’t be 6 Sasuke’s, probably 5(oro, karin, akat., ms, ems) and the other might be Itachi. But why give them the Uchiha and not Sharingan when it’s the same thing? plus there aren’t 6 Sharingan characters on top of the 6 Uchiha’s
I don’t know what the hay is going on with this list.

That´s exactly how i also feel right now. Lost all the hype… What are those many Konoha Symbols for? Why not put in characters we want for THIS game to be playable. Why would they include the Swordsmen just for the Story Mode? Also i thought Kin/Ginkaku were confirmed playable? What is this nonesense with keeping us in the dark and then showing us something dissapointing like this. Hyping it up with “OVER 80 CHARACTERS” I´m guessing there will be a double of Choji, Sasori, Chyo, Gaara and they´re going to include characters that have no buisness being in Storm 3 were the war should take place. Not only on the Story Mode, but also in Versus Battles.

Okay here are my thoughts on this: I believe the blue characters are support only and I believe this because they match the remaining support characters that are necessary. In order, they go Fu, Torune, Cee, Akatsuchi, Kurotsuchi, Ao, and Chojūro. The sharingan symbols represent Edo tensei and rinnegan tobi/obito’s mask. With that said the sharingan symbol after the ANBU symbol (who I believe is Danzō) And the 6 slots after it are Rinnegan Tobi/Obito, Fū, Utakata, Han, Roushi,Yagura, and Yugito Nii. There are five cloud ninja symbols which could be Bee, A, Yugito Nii, and could include Ginkaku and Kinkaku. I don’t know if the Edo kage will be in but I hope they are. By the looks of Edo tensei symbol in the midst of the Akatsuki I’m thinking that will be Edo Nagato. All of the Uchiha symbols confuse me I know some of them are Sasuke but not 6 of them and I’m not sure entirely if they’re including Itachi as an Uchiha or an Akatsuki. Madara will be in most definitely. Also the 6 sand Symbols confuse me Ik there is Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Chiyo, but who else hopefully the 4th Kazekage. The symbol in the bottom left corner is interesting and I wanna know what is it. Maybe it opens up more characters hopefully it does. Lastly here’s my rundown of the screen tells how many of each symbol there are. (Supports don’t count in the amount playable)

For some reason, think that the blue slots are support only characters, the symbol of each village fits perfectly for all the kage’s bodyguard. It can’t be the jinjuriki bcuz right above the blue slots, next to the sharingan, it fits perfectly for all the jinjuriki,.

Heh, so no one cares about the air jutsu. You know, about Naruto doing an air rasengan. We only care about the characters now , rather than the new addition to the gameplay. Right? Sigh….

Anyway, the 7 mist swordsman and the brothers are indeed NOT playable.

Their moves in the scans and trailers are very limited. If they were to include them in the free battle, they have to create a different moveset other than the moves they used in the hack and slash. So we are only going to see them in the story mode and that’s a bummer. But CC2 never said they are playable. Most of us assumed they are as soon as we saw them. Not taking into account what we actually saw. Generic moveset for Hack and Slash.

The character selection with over 80 playable characters do look a bit like “not as many as I was expecting kind of feel”. Especially without the 7 swordsman and the brothers.

But we still have lots of new things in Storm 3.

Here’s my speculation on the character roster:
Following cc2′s logic on their way of placing characters in the past games, I believe two main fractions (good and evil) are separated in the middle.
(From left to right)
1st row: 3 Narutos, Sakura, Sai, Neji, Lee, Tenten, Shikamaru, Chouji, konoha ?(could be Butterfly form of Chouji considering how usually ino-shika-chou are put side by side/possibly his dad?), 4 edo kages, 3 Taka members and 3 Sasukes.

I totally forgot about Young Kakashi and Obito cause I heard someone saying that, there is no kid characters in this game. Have we ever seen these two appeared in the announced screenshots or trailers?I don’t really remember.
Well, If that is the case, the two konoha slots after Jiraiya could be reserved for them. Then I could be wrong about the whole arrangement of characters position, especially the last 2 rows I guess

My theory is that those six leaf spots in the bottom right hand corner are meant to confuse us. They are probably characters that they don’t want to reveal yet so they are keeping them secret.

ANBU Kakashi hopefully means ANBU Itachi as well I think its pretty likely we’ll have Edo Tensei Madara but I also hope for an alternate costume or moveset version of when he fought Hashirama with his Gunbai/Scythe and had Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan $##@! Awesome!

Wrong the blue ones are support onlys. Meaning Chojuro and Ao. The others are probably Zabuza, Haku, Mei, Yagura, and Utakata.

me too man, this is basically all the info i have gathered from scans and other rosters, to make my own one, there is alot of predictions out there, but i thought it was weird that some of them missed out on already confirmed characters, so i decided to make my own.

The 7 Swordsmen were only characters show in hack and slash mode. All the character we seen that are playable have been shown in free battle in scans or videos.

That symbol that looks like flame..naruto used to where that symbol. I think it has something to do with the will if fire, which leads me to believe that mark is the 1st hokage. But Im not entirely sure, and theres some tiles that are just plain text, anybody know what those say/stand for?

I think the tree symbols with the flames is something like team select. There is an orange flame (player character) and two blue flames (support character). Either you can save teams or you can select pre-matched teams that are named like: Three Legendary Shinobi (Jiraya, Tsunade, Orochimaru) etc.

Sharingan spots are for the Moon’s Eye plan characters revived by the Edo Tensei. The Sharingan represents Rinnegan Obitos mask, thus: Hanzo, 4 Edo Kages, Nagato.

You’re right. That’s cool. But remember that Generations had 3 Narutos too. One for 5-Kage Arc, one for before and one for Sage. Sage gets his own Slot here too and 5 Kage is playable already. The old one with Rasenshuriken wasn’t however and since Chidori-Spear Sasuke is in i’m sure Rasenshuriken Naruto will be too. So it is possible that this slot is reserved for him. But i hope he will just be another “Costume” of the usual Naruto and Slot 2 is for Bijuu Mode Naruto ^^
