Naruto Storm 3 – ANBU Kakashi, Road to Ninja Sasuke, Swimsuit Sakura DLC

Update January 18: See Naruto Storm 3 Scan 21 – DLC Costume Visuals for confirmed looks of each of the characters.

YOSH!! ANBU Kakashi, Road to Ninja Sasuke, and Swimsuit Sakura have been confirmed as DLC (downloadable content) in addition to Road to Ninja Hinata, Samurai Naruto, and Naruto in Goku’s Costume. The news comes from the latest Shonen Jump scan which confirmed Tailed Beast Mode Naruto will be on the game disc. Only images of Samurai Naruto and Naruto in Goku’s costume were shown, but as you can see in the scan cutout below, there is text that confirms the other characters as DLC.

The scan also confirms the rumor from early today – April 18 will be the Japanese release date for Storm 3. In addition, the scan reveals the Japanese demo will be available for download in early February. As you may already have heard on Saiyan Island, with PS3 games, the demo can be downloaded by anybody in the world as long as they have a Japanese PlayStation Network account. It’s unlikely Xbox 360 will get a demo for Japan.

As far as Saiyan Island knows, ANBU Kakashi, Road to Ninja Sasuke, Road to Ninja Hinata, and Swimsuit Sakura have only been confirmed as DLC for Japan.

Europe will be getting six free downloadable costumes for those who pre-order Naruto Storm 3 (the normal version as well as the Will of Fire and True Despair editions), but aside from Samurai Naruto and Goku Costume Naruto, it’s unclear who the other 4 could be. We would have to guess they would be the same, but again, that has not yet been confirmed.

As for North America, only the Goku costume for Naruto has been confirmed. No information on additional DLC has been revealed.

Below are EXAMPLE images of what ANBU Kakashi, Road to Ninja Sasuke, Road to Ninja Hinata, and Swimsuit Sakura MAY look like. As mentioned above, their Storm 3 models have not yet been released so they could differ from what is shown below.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2′s fourth entry in the Storm series. It will be available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 in North America and Europe in March of 2013. It will begin with the incident with the Nine Tailed Fox from 16 years ago, continue on to the Five Kage Arc, and go up to the Shinobi War, covering latest episode of Naruto Shippuden before the game’s release.

Wow, last time I saw anbu kakashi was on clash of ninja revolution 3 one the wii. I honestly never thought they would put him in this game. So are the dlc characters included in the 80+ characters or are they separate (meaning total number could be over 90)?

I mean they’ve never done X-country-only-content IIRC (The only thing close are the special edition but they don’t have in-game content that other regions don’t. Also they’d get much more money. These costumes might even be the 4 costumes that were waiting to be revealed.

Most likely it’s so Sakura isn’t the only original Team 7 member without a DLC costume in the pack. It would make sense that when the DLC is regularly available it’ll part of a swimsuit pack. But hopefully it means Ino will have a costume in a Road to Ninja pack.

Actually considering he’s wearing the Kame School Gi it makes sense he doesn’t. After training with King Kai the Kanji on his Gi changed to Kaio and after the fight with Freeza the Kanji patch was removed. So Kame Gi Naruto with Nyoi-bo makes sense to not have a Rasenki Dama.

I think knowing that Japanese release date is a month late than other nations is great since it means that there will be spoilers for the anime if they release it as the same time as everyone else. This means that the game will most likely go a little further than where the anime is now.

I’m pretty sure that the “Ultimate Ninja Kit” in France was also made for these costumes. There’s a DLC code for 5 costumes, one is Samurai Naruto (from DragonBlade Chronicles), and the 4 remaining ones have yet to be revealed, but according to the scan, which shows that alternate Naruto, French fans will also get those 4 new costumes. Let’s hope American fans will also have the opportunity to get them.

I feel kinda bad for Japan since they’re getting it one month later though it makes sense since it’s NA’s turn to get it first again. I see CC2 is cranking out the gimmicks which is good. BM Naruto was practically confirmed since all the previous Storm games had brand new Naruto’s and Sasuke’s.

It’d be a huge disappointment if the costumes have to actually be bought since they’re simply costumes. There is no reason to charge for an alternate outfit. If it came with a new ultimate jutsu or something then it would be reasonable.

Uhmm unlike Ps3 , xbox 360 can’t hold as much data on they’re cds and the same goes for the actual system the extra hard drive is for the game to actually download to, so when ever you want to play the game you downloaded you will need to connect it to your xbox

your xbox comes with a hardrive just like ps3. just xbox ones are removaable not sure about ps3. so if you baught an xbox with 120 gb an average game takes about 4-7 gb of space. it all depends on which hardrive you get. there is a 250 gb one too and a 500 gb one that you can buy seperatly. also you dont have to go to the store microsoft ponts are available to purchase on the xbox marketplace just like putting money in your wallet on the ps3 store. instead of reading as dollars it reads as points is the only difference

The way I see it is they have already announced DLC costumes. as long as the demand and money keep flowing nothing should stop them from adding costumes. Id like to see anbu itachi as well as well as many other costumes, as long as we are paying the money for new outfits then they will most likely keep adding till the money flow stops.

You guys do realize that Yamato was a member of the Anbu, right? Just Pointing that out. I wish these DLC Characters had new moves, jutsus, Ultimates, or at least a different voice over to match their personality, but i doubt that’ll happen. I’d also like to see if they’d make all Characters Playable rather than Support Only, at least throw that out as DLC. If this truly is the last Naruto Game of the Storm Series, they should at least try to milk the hell out of this cash cow by making Fan Desired DLC.

There are other factors, such as the different ratings (like Pegi 12 or T for “Teen”) in different regions. Sakura’s swimsuit outfit might, though I doubt it, be problematic in that department.
