As long as they don’t skip parts of the story mode then I’m happy. We still need the Edo Tensei Kages to be confirmed and of course the bigger villains. If that is all included in the story mode then I have no complaints.

Um, last I checked they had revealed new modes, characters, and mechanics. So yes, they are showing off different things.

Hack and Slash mode isn’t a game changer when all I’ve seen or heard about it is one short clip of sasuke doing a flashy move and a boss battle. What about after story mode? I can guarantee you heavy spamming will still occur. I need to see more than just characters, and the only people actually describing new features are youtubers. I know it’s 3 months down the road, but 3 months isn’t too long a time.

This was confirmed a while back. But yes, they are thankfully.

so… the game will end with luck in madara first appearance and the game will have +80 characters with no pts ? i’m really curious about this

The edo kages will be there,the anime will be already up to that point and finished the fight with them by march.

That would be one of the bigggest fails in the world. -_-  You really want them to give you the entire roster on day 1?

When did they officially confirm that?  I didn’t see that anywhere.  Same thing for Ginkaku and Kinkaku.  (playable of course.  I KNOW they are in the story mode)

 You said it yourself, it was a rumor. Rumors are never set unless the developers/publishers release the information. 

Short while back, don’t specifically remember. 

I’m saying that gameplay features shouldn’t be something to “hype around” and save for last minute and not describe at all. 

Over 80 might mean like 82 to 86. That’s actually a lot seeing there are no PTS characters. But 90 would be better

 i think the story will go to the end of the war cause it would make any sense to stop were the anime is by the time the game comes out.

If it was 90 I think they would say 90 I’m pretty sure it’s only going to be about 84-86 characters like really why add 89 characters they should just add more right.

To tell you the truth it’s a great list but I can’t see Ino-Shika-Chou parents as playable neither zetsu or kushina but they could be playable id like to see Omoi, Kitsuchi, sage kabuto & others but if they were to add 89 it would be wierd they would’ve just gave that extra character in an say over 90 but hey.

I want Anko Mitarashi come on Cc2 i want to play with her <3 confirm Anko as a playable character !!!

about a week ago. well it hasn’t been confirmed as a playable character, but it has been confirmed that he will be in the game in some form. so we just all assume he will be playable.

It’s like that time with Generations, they told us over 65 but we ended up with over 70.
This time they told us over 70 but end up with over 80!

If NSUNSG had 72 characters minus the fifteen PST characters that means we have 57 characters we already have played which gives us around 24 new characters if its over 80, right? 

they gotta make zetsu a playable character. im tired of this bullshit where hes like 2nd in command of akatsuki, has had a fair amount of battles, and would be an awesome character.

hey remember in generations was 72 but it was 72 because of the small useless characters( it means every kid storm 1 or past)( there were 17) if you subtract 72 – 17 it will = 55 so it says that there will be more than eighty that means that the 55 which are grown ups plus (maybe) madara, muu, the 2nd mizukage i believe, the third raikage,and also the fourth kazekage, tobi rinnegan, (possibly)bijuu mode 2nd , sasuke ems like i said in bijuu,, nagato, itachi reani shouyld count cuz he really uses some jutsus he never used before i believe, tailed beast( 7 ), gin/kin(2),pretty sure akatsuchi, darui, mifune hanzo, deidara, sasori, asuma,i cant remember the guy who helped hidan fight, hidan, as reanimated, bijuu mode 1,7 ninja swordsmen, will equal 91 now bonus that should be extras are sasori in his hiruko puppet thingy form konohamaru anbu sage frog probably the should add the crystal woman in the episodes and why not kishi himself with his own different jutsus  

unless 57 because maybe you might think that obito and kakashi( past version) counts then that would be 93

I still don’t see how Jiraiya is gonna get in…. and Orochimaru…..Hishirama…akatsuki sasuke.. young Kakashi, Obito and I stopped reading at hidan..These people have nothing to do with the war and have little to none chances of getting in the game. Most of the characters on this list would just be pure fan service.. just might not happen. 

you see I don’t get why everyone keeps saying that just because they are not part of the war arc they will not be in. Why on earth would CC2 cut out characters they can literally cut and paste from storm 2 and just add an awakening action to. This game can’t possibly have over 80 characters if everyone who wasn’t in the war wasn’t in the game, and don’t say “but oh they can add *insert random minor character’s name here” because we know what CC2 is like with minor characters heck we still dont know if the swordsman and kinkaku/ginkaku will be playable yet never mind kurotsuchi, toroi, and the random rubber guy etc.

Over 80 characters, don’t know if I should be excited or disappointed since there is only 9 weeks till the game comes out so it should be in its final stages of development so there might not be a addition in characters but there could be DLC for more characters oh well.

MY lord…… i dont see why we cant have new characters rather then characters that have been  there since storm 1!!!!!!!! Jiraiya, orochimaru Are getting old!!! I want new CRap kurotsuchi is better then hidan in my book, i dont see why cc2 can spit in flipping kid kakashi when they cant and someone who cool and has appeared more times like omoi… I whould love to play as a new char like sai’s brother rather then some reused garbage like first rasenshuriken naruto….

I just hope in the end that there is only 1 spot for 1 specific character. Fine, count Naruto as 4 characters. But at least put them all in 1 spot of the roster for God sakes. I shouldn’t have to hunt for them individually. DBZ has it so this game should too.

Ok you guys are dumb if you think Jiraya/Orochimaru/Any other character that died is not in the game. It is already stated that the story mode will start from the very beginning of Naruto up until some point in the war. Meaning every single player in storm 2 will definitely be playable. And probably most of the ones of generations also, but probably not kid kakashi and the young versions of everybody. 

As for DLC, id love for the game to have some good DLC, maybe expansions to story line or more characters, and id d definetly be willing to pay for it. However, knowing CC2, there probably wont be any DLC because there wasnt any for Storm 2 or Generations

Plus, even if a character isnt directly in the story they may still be there because they are important. Like the Kage’s in Generations. None of them were in the story mode, but they were available in the Multiplayer.

If you really want to predict the exact characters, i think SamA94′s list is extremely close to the real character roster.

As a side note, Stop whining that you want the sound 4 in the game!!!! If theyre in it, great, if there not, big deal. They were never a big or important part in Naruto, they were only there for a very small period of time. This is just like the arguement of Zabuza and Haku. I saw people whining and whining that they want them in the game, and when they were finally put in, nobody ever uses them and now everybodys whining about something else(sound 4). I know for a fact the majority of the people who want the sound 4 in will never even use them

Look up the Comic Con interview in July. Matsuyama states every Shippuden character included in a Storm game thus far will be included. It’s not wishful thinking, it’s fact.

And if you have to ask that question, you know nothing about business. Companies will do whatever it takes to maximize profits. Since in general, Naruto fans will eat up any little bit of new content, they maximize said profits by copying and pasting previous characters into the game. It’s business 101.

That’s an intelligent idea. It will give us an estimate on how many more characters to expect. Just know that Namco Bandai has been wrong about the character count in the past (only CC2 knows the true amount). To be safe, I’d say give a window of error of about 5 characters. it probably won’t be that much (the largest discrepancy was 3 characters, 72 as opposed to 75 in Generations) but again, just to be safe.

I get annoyed when a trusted site misinforms its users. It’s not SIs fault that Namco Bandai is consistently wrong about the roster, but when they’ve dealt with NB as long as I have (in regards to the Storm series) they should have the decency to give all the facts before getting people’s hopes up (or even down).

The war isn’t even close to being over.

A decent chunk of the 72 characters in Generations were PTS. Take those out, and they have added quite a few to bring the number back up to 80

Even if you want one you will then feel bad or uncouftable when the one from that list is not there and you at least will want to play it for a try or fun think about there is an awesome bijuu but there is also a tobi rinnegan with or without the mask but still awesome and madara a legendary ninja you know what in that list none is more or less they are al the same to meeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

still one thing remains in my mind. in storm 1, there was an all new roster of characters, in storm 2 there was an all new roster. but it seems like storm 3 will break that cycle. that just seemed to make me mad.

I just wanted a fresh game where i didn’t have to worry about hidan (lol) it just seemed like they pulled a big buck over are heads.

I think they’ll add extensive dlc to the game in order to expand on the missing parts of the last shippuden arc. I doubt they’ll come out with a storm 4 so this is what they’ve decided to do.

I wish they added Miscellaneous Characters like they did in the old Naruto Games. Remember being able to play as Shizune, Konohamaru, Anko, Kurenai, The Sound Five, Taijutsu Naruto, Anbu Kakashi and more?

Why support ? i mean it is the last storm game and i dont think they make supports it would be stupid if you cant play with you favourite character in the last storm game….I hope we can use every character. I dont want to have character only as support :/    hope we all get our favourite character to have 100% FUN !

It’s not likely the last Storm game. They lied about Storm 3 going to the end of the manga first of all, so who’s to say they didn’t lie here? Second, there is still more content to come in the manga. If not Storm (which I still doubt) then CC2 will continue with the manga using another series.

I agree 100% with you. My biggest gripe is exactly what you said: That both Storm 1 and 2 had barely any recycled content, while Storm 3 is heavily recycled. I don’t know what happened to their commitment to quality as well as quantity, but sales seem to have gotten to their heads and now they are simply trying to make a quick buck.

Minus PTS that were not resurrected or took part in the TS storyline in some form (such as the 3rd, Zabuza, Haku, and Kimimaro). So some PTS characters will make into the game, and the 3rd has already been confirmed. 

If you mean characters, I highly doubt that. NB usually overestimates (actually to my knowledge has always, not usually, overestimated) so the more likely scenario is between 77-80 characters. 

The problem with your theory is DLC is not as prevalent in Japan as elsewhere. Japanese gamers are less inclined to Download new content, and as such, many companies there try to minimize their reliance on it. 

They said storm 3 will have DLC support outside the lanch costumes, however, I don’t think it will be so extensive as to include new story scenarios from the manga as well as new characters from very far into it (maybe a few characters here and there, but that’s all).

 Well I kind of like the fact that characters from Storm 2 and Gen will reappear ,I mean really what would we do without Orochimaru , Jiraya and characters like that ,I just dont like the fact where again 10 Sasukes and Narutos will appear , also for Kabuto , why would he be in ,Kabutomaru is just enough ,for example who would play a Naruto from Hidan/Kakuzu arc. when there will probably be BM Naruto ,I mean there are some insignificant characters who will reapper ,but still there will be over 25 new characters so it doesnt really bother me.

So they said Over 80 last year with generations over 70 and it was just 2 unconfirmed with masked man and kabuto (snake cloak) now they will have all the ones from storm 2,and generations (not pts characters) and last year they did show a pictures of the character selection so that in total of 41 confirmed (correct me if im wrong) It will mostly be about the war arc…could have the supports from generations playable like anko,shizune,kages helpers with a few of them and the 5 kage summit is my favorite arc. So if its short then ill give it a 3 out of 10

There is 56 characters that are in generations that will most likely be playable in storm 3 that is Including- Obito,Young Kakashi,Zabuza and Haku.And this Roster I have created has added no previous support characters because we haven’t gotten any confirmed except Darui

They better not have sub-only characters….they really are pointless they should just include the full character and not have any sub character. Take away all the subs from generations and the number of characters decreases majorly.

Make every character fully playable and eliminate the sub-only characters . Either put in the full character, or dont put him in at all. This sub-only thing is so annoying

Well we all know that a good bit of those slots lets say about 5-10 will be occupied by different versions of Naruto & Sasuke just like in Storm 2 & Generations. So in reality we are really getting 70-75 different characters

ya i think im gonna go with everyone else on the whole “its not over 80 characters” thing. if you look back since storm 2 they said the games would have this many characters and they both ended up being less in the final.

they also said storm 2 would have all the paths of pain playable, but we only had 1…….just throwing that out there too.

 But there is 2 months left. Who know? The manga could probably end by February. But if this isn’t the last storm game, they shouldn’t have added the tailed beasts yet, I know they showed up in the show, but it would have been best to save that for the last game, for like a big blow out.

Nah… more according to the reports its supposed to match up to the latest episode released. More than likely there will be more then 1 game after depending on if he decides to continue on with the naruto series. But considering this is the top three mangas in japan I don’t see it coming to an end…. or until naruto becomes hokage in the series. Honestly love the idea of so many characters and at the same time don’t. How many times have you played online against someone using Sakura, Choji, Kimimaro, ect. Truly a lot of slack could be picked up from making some of the lesser used characters into only support types, revamping the move-lists, ultimate jutsus, extending the story mode a little bit, and making minor/crucial touch-ups on the gameplay mechanics. Don’t get me wrong…. love the series and love the games. Definitely my fave as of any other fighting game out there and can’t criticize too much but for the game looks awesome. It’s gonna be fun and even though it may be over-estimated at this point you know  with the trailers, the new material shown, hack n slash….. it’s gonna be a new style storm game and its gonna be fun

 That’s not really true, it was said that Storm 3 might be the last game but due to updates from Kishimoto, the series still has more to come. CC2 thought this at first, until that update had came out and I’m sure they’ve made adjustments accordingly.

Storm 3 = 80+ characters. Storm 4 = 90+ Characters. Storm 5 = 100+ Characters. Storm 6 = 110 1/2+ Characters lol…. And so on. That’s the formula of how CC2 will take our money until we are all like 90 years old lol

I think the movesets will be the same for most characters I say we got lucky in generations with kisame & sage naruto.

= Phew! long post! So that’s what i think the character roster would be. Also If you noticed, I didn’t put Hidan, 1st hokage, 2nd hokage , kirin sasuke , or the past version of naruto (WS:Rasenshuriken, etc.) , Jiraiya, Normal Kabuto and Pain in there.  It’s because storm 3 is all about the WAR. So I think characters not in the war must not be there. I know it’s sad , but how would cc2 squeeze characters like jiraiya and hidan into the story? I just don’t see happening…

Thats 95 characters in Storm 3 wow, I hoping for at least 107 – 115 or 120, but I digress having lots of characters doesn’t make the game better, its all about gameplay and Story, take Melee for example, Brawl has more characters longer story mode and more features, but Melee was still a better a game XD

i think the story will end up at madara reveal but when the story reach the lastest anime episode, they will show a message “WARNING SPOILER AHEAD. Would you like to continue?”

More characters didn’t make Brawl bad. The development team stripping the combat of all its depth and adding randomized scrub-friendly elements made Brawl bad.

All though I do agree more content =/= better game

 it will start at the beginning of the kage arc and end at the end of the war arc abd knowing cc2 they may have their own final battel to end the war compair to the manga which the manga has ten tails but how ever the story will end its going to be awesome i cant wait.

1, 5, 6, 12, 33, 34, 38, 41, 53, and 54 (Sage mode Naruto was already confirmed and he did use it several times in the war or else I’d think there’s too many Narutos as well) really have no place being there, especially if they’re copies of the previous games. I know you put them on because its likely they will be, but hopefully they won’t (unless they’re changed). Without them that’s space for at least 7 ppl not on your list such as Pakura, The cloth girl, explosive user, Omoi, Kitsuchi, Ao, Chojuro, etc. That would be much better than getting characters you can go back to your old games to play as.

Storm 1

 Ohh god ,its already been stated that every character from Storm 2 / Generations will reappear.

It’s not going to the end of the war.

 It will 1st start @ the beginning of the 9 tails attacking Konoha then the Kage arc till the Shinobi War arc XD

 yes it is cause nine tails mode lv.2 naruto is in the game and there not going to stop were naruto and bee fighting were the anime will be when the game comes out. and they already said that they is following the manga.

 it will go pass that at least until the end of the war but we will get one more trailer until then we will but guesting.

i hope so cause i want to know are they going to show any thing about the story.

DLC would be a good idea, but i don’t see it happening, atleast in the way you guys want. The reason is that firstly, CC2 is a capitalist money-making company; in the end, all they want is money. The process of adding DLC’s wouldn’t sustain the business…why? because DLC’s are cheaper than a full game. Imagine paying $60 for a single “add-on” to the story mode? people would go crazy. 

A while ago, when Storm 1 was still in development, i began to study about Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2′s business tactics and organization (for curiosity). Doing that, i noticed that their way of business sucess is based on parceries and afiliations, together with high communication with the functionaries/programmers.

We shouldn’t imagine Hiroshi sitting on his chair, in a large room, acting like a Yakuza boss, saying “Do this/Do that, bla bla bla” and the functionaries shaking their heads abruptly saying “HAI, HIROSHI-SAMA!!!” NOO, it’s not like that…

Imagine a scenery where CC2′s heads are discussing with “Naruto” series mediatic representatives, such as VIZ Media, Shueisha, Toei Animation, Studio Pierrot, Kishimoto’s team, etc; then some guy proposes:

“-What if we begin to continue the story mode of the game adding DLC’s? In this way, fans wouldn’t complain about the lack of content”…

Silence on the room, then someone says: 

“-WTF ur talking about?”

CC2 makes Naruto games because those companies let it to happen, it’s about a contract. Many of the money acquired with the sells goes to them, and there’s a lot of presurre in this, or do you guys think that Hiroshi wake up someday, calls his friends and say: “Hey bros, let’s make a new game?” Again, it’s not like that.

Those companies want the series to be promoted and commercialised, like a product…and DLC’s aren’t appealing as a “completely new” game.

Another point is about the functionaries that are paid to work; The production of the franchise is divided on teams: Some work on the mechanics, some on the Animation, some in Copyrights, some in Sound, some in Graphics, Menus, etc; if they just keep adding Story Mode DLC’s, it’s obvious that some team will need to stop working in the series…these would get unmotivated…and you know the rest. The development group is like a democracy, where opinions need to be respected, and the balance needs to be maintained (Hiroshi said this in a very old Storm 2 interview).

The last reason is about the technic limitations. It’s obvious that some people would get mad about CC2 only adding Story Mode DLC’s for the same game and not changing the gameplay mechanics. The maximum they could do is correct some bugs, remove something, add a little bit and thats it…why? because real changes can’t be made in the same system. As a programmer myself, i understand when they say that they can’t change the gameplay entirely. 

There are hardcoded limits in specific systems that can’t be modified, and the ones which have the possibility of edition are still really complex to manage (the sub-bar and ring-out things probably took a lot of time to be implemented, yet, people complain). A single change in hardcoded files (mainly apparently simple notepad text files) could result in terrible bugs and malfunction.

So, if you want a lot of new characters, new Story Mode Battles and new gameplay, you NEED another game. In Storm games system, the maximum they can do is add new costumes, maybe a Boss Battle, cutscenes, some chars, little tweakings in the mechanics, etc; and not an entirely new title.

And to finish, you know…people would complain in the same way:

“It’s just the same old game with some add-ons…CC2 is lazy, i’m not wasting $60 on a stupid DLC.”

your an idiot your not paying 60 bucks for dlc. your paying 60 bucks for a new game with a new story the game is going to be awesome. and for those people that are naruto fans but think this game looks lame then you guys are just dumbasses. don’t come complaining over a game, like we care what you people think

Crucial mechanics? Thanks for the laugh. Jutsu Clashes, Wall Fighting, Long Ougis and Awakening Ougis were nothing but fanservice and did not contribute to a balanced fighting game. Jutsu Clashes are a complete waste of money and time from CC2, 

Wall fightings are even worse (besides, naruto is not about wall fighting. Tell me 10 fights in Naruto Shippuden that the characters stay in the walls for half of the fight) 

Long Ougis are just washed up and Stretched for the sake of eye candy.Awakened Ougis just make things unbalanced. In awakening you’re faster, stronger, better in every way and you also have an Ougi? Yeah that’s not a balanced fighting game

The Multiple Jutsus per char. were cool, I admit, but they don’t make much difference for a majority of the characters

The face punches were about comedy. Naruto Shippuden dropped the comedy a lot.

Storm 2 has more content than Storm 1. Boss battles, new characters, etc. (don’t know much since I didn’t play it)

Generations was just something to give a chance for the Xbox 360 users to play as the PTS characters and make up for the time between Storm 2 and 3. It still had more balancing and mechanics.

Storm 3 has a big story mode (Hiroshi said it’s about 30 hours of story mode), Hack and Slash, Ultimate Decision, A site says that you can play as the evil guys in Hack and Slash, giving even more replay value, There’s awakening Actions to make the Awakenings unique and 2 ways of going into awakening to make a better difference between characters, in a video of Comic Con or whatever happened before Jump Festa you can see Naruto double Jumping (he didn’t dash after that), There’s Stage Interaction, There are Ring-Outs ( even if it’s not a great thing) and stuff we still don’t know, aside from new characters

Storm 3 is FAR from a copy of the other games, Just like Storm 2 is much different than 1. But you can say Generations wasn’t a big improvement from Storm 2 (it wasn’t even supposed to be)

If Storm 3 had jutsu clashes everyone would be like “OMMGEEEE NEW MEKUNECKS, DIZ GAEM IS SO THE BEZT!!! XDDDDDDDDDD

The Naruto games form Cc2 are awesome but the  community destroy this :/ with spamming and so on and im  happy about the idea in generation with the sub bar this was a  wonderful idea to play this game on COMBOS not with stupid jutsu spamming some people still play with stupid spamm character and unfair supports but thats not Cc2 blame.  Iplayed storm 1 as well  the game is Ok nice campagne and so on but this game has not a online mode. Think about a Online mode in storm 1 that would be the biggest noob spammer game ever xD  rapid fire controller,ultimate spamm,jutsu spamm and so on the same as storm 2 and storm 2 was a disaster Online !.
 
But it would be nice to run in Konoha like in storm 1.

Cc2 has advanced  with Naruto storm !  think about generation finally a game there we can play with combos.

Think about storm 3 Cc2 put many new features in this game !  and they show us not 100% from the game !! 
so dont complain about  storm 3. We will meet online people with unfair supports like hidan,pain and as main character onoki but thats not Cc2 blame thats the community  :/

I really hope this game have Sage Mode Kabuto , EMS Sasuke , Edo Itachi , Edo Nagato , Edo Kages ,  Madara and Rinnegan Tobi . I know its asking for too much but damn my dream is to play with that characters..and if the game ends in gaara vs kages , why have jinchuuriki moves that are used vs naruto and bee ? so much confusion right now..

CC2 can and will add things to the game even if it doesn’t make sense. For example In Generations KCM was added to the game even though the games story doesn’t even cover Naruto getting that mode so adding the jinchuuriki might be them doing the same thing.

EMS sask, edo madara k, rinnegan tobi, seem like givens. 
I wonder if there will be a form / costume for Obito.

I just hope this is the last game of the series because another set of storylines into another game(Storm4) would just be NOT cool for alot of fans. They should include all the players for once already or the  company should make a downloading thing or something for a fair prize like other games have done and make more affortable for the fans( buy/download more characters or custumes): it would save time.

I definitely agree with @yahoo-VVCK6ASWYW67C6DIO3OUCY3IME:disqus. Storm series is the best anime based game. Actually CC2 are actual fans like us. They want what we want. Though there are some flaws in the game and unfair players all around, it is still the best when it comes to the immersion of anime to the game.

Sometimes the game, like in storm 2 when pain destroyed konoha, was actually better than the anime and manga. And it’s not only that scene. I’m sure that Storm 3 would have much much more scenes like that.

The gameplay is what I want. I love the gameplay of the storm series. If they were to change the gameplay like tekken or Marvel vs capcom, it won’t be as fun as the storm.

Also I wouldn’t like it if they were to change the gameplay back to Storm 1 or Storm 2 or even in generations. I think Storm 3 would have the best “Storm” gameplay.

Weather you guys want to accept it or not, CC2 improves the gameplay of storm series. It might be minimal, or some glitches may come as a result, but still it has improve. CC2 is not doing a lousy job.

Of course there are some aspects of the game that we miss. Like jutsu clashes and longer Ultimates. And there are others that we want to have, like character creation and stage transition.

It can’t be perfect. But I still enjoy the games that CC2 made and will make. )

 Dear Funnymitch, if only it were that simple. What keeps a studio or company alive? What created cellphones, smartphones, everything we have, that has be complained about and improved on.

As a hungry mouth does not get feed, the same could be said people who are not contempt with something and they do not say a word. I love peoples ideas or opinions, those with reasonable ideas or opinions I mean.

Example: You got the PS1-PS2-PS3 each better than the last. A company like CC2 is NOT based on one person, but a group of people with an idea. Those people include the fans, the people buying the product.

Basically what Brandon was trying to say is that he wishes the Jutsu and Overall fighting was more like CC2′s previous work, not Storm 2 or Gen, but Storm 1, which the fighting was the closest to the anime.

they did make movesets of 6 jinchuriki that have only been seen on manga, so why not make another character like sage kabuto/madara? they can take their movesets from the manga

what can Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 possibly offer that’s

Jason Enos, senior global brand manager at Namco Bandai explained that
the latest iteration of the anime franchise is meant to appeal more to
fans of the original manga series. “One of the focuses of this game for
developer CyberConnect2 is to bring the perfect balance of the manga and
the anime,” he explained.

Fans of the franchise will probably agree with Enos’ assessment that
“the anime is more lighthearted while the manga delves a little deeper
and gets a little more serious.” To that point, he promises that “one of
the goals this time around is to make sure manga fans feel more
satisfied” by offering both “the cinematic and visual aspect of the
anime” and also “the beautiful story development of the manga.”

It’s clear that presentation is the focus of UNS3, as the gameplay is
very similar to previous games in the series. Boss fights, such as one
against Nine Tails, promises to be more “epic” than ever–a rather
difficult feat, given the series’ history. One difference I noticed was
that Awakening mode can now
be turned on at any time with the drawback of not being able to use it
again later. In the previous titles, you had to be at low health to
activate it.

dude, give it up, theyve said it themselves that this game is in fact  folowing the anime. if you keep thinking that this game will follow the manga then youl be angry when your proven wrong and write a bunch of retarded statements saying that they lied and all that.

They should’ve gave every character a traditional awakening ( holding down chakra button) and instant awakening. Traditional could be like a mini awakening to change the character moveset, jutsu etc. and instant for their transformation real awakening. Ex. Naruto traditional awakening would be sage mode and his instant would be nine tails chakra. That would satisfy a lot of fans that what new moves for characters that didn’t get any in generations while still being able to keep the old moves that other fans like and don’t want to be took away for new ones. Play as your character and start with old moves, don’t want those moves? Traditional awaken into new moves and if you want to go back into your old moves do the traditional awakening again to switch back and forth. That would be tight and lower most of those extra slots for Naruto and Sasuke. I can’t believe they count 4 different types of Naruto different characters.

He means exactly what he says “the plot will follow the manga in TONE and STORYTELLING.” I’ve already posted this very same interview and explained exactly what it means. Nowhere does it say that they will follow the manga’s story as in beyond the anime. Nowhere. You are skewing his words for your own convenience. You obviously do not know how to read and interpret words. You live in a fantasy world that won’t fall until the game is released and you’re ego crumbles. 

Regardless, CC2 themselves said ANIME. NB are a bunch of idiots who don’t sit there and monitor CC2 24/7. They lie all the time, including about the roster because they don’t get their facts straight.

I totally agree. I also think that the Jinchurikis are “Bonus” characters too, because they won´t be featured into the actual story within the game. As for Madara Uchiha it´s… complicated, because he will most likely show up in the Anime when the game releases. EMS Sasuke is also “confirmed” i guess and they might just add Kabuto´s Sage Mode too. With so much characters going on, the game will feel fresh once again, because even if the combos are just tapping the circle button, it was way more dynamic than that. For me every character feels different and i hope we can enjoy the new characters as well as the old ones.

You´re kidding right? You think they gonna stop at a battle that´s not even a serious fight against the enemy? They totally gonna go for the Edo Tensei Kage fight, because that´s where the Anime will be when the game comes out and also 2 or so episodes after the game came out there will be the summoning of Madara Uchiha. They might even add that as the final battle. If the Anime gets some double episodes with no pause after that it´ll be very likely that this fight is airing when the game comes out. Also Madara Uchiha is such a high demanded character and i also get why, because he is the fricking strongest character in the series yet and ppl wanna play as him in the new game.

After I thinking about I think we should only count characters that have been shown battling in free mode in scans or videos as confirmed. The details of how ultimate decision works hasn’t been fully explained so we can’t just assume the characters shown in story as confirmed like the the Sevens Swordsman of the Mist or Ginkaku and Kinkaku are playable outside of the story since they actually been shown outside of the story yet. In the end this is just my opinion you are free to agree or disagree with me.

Some of them ideas might be stupid to you but that doesn’t mean that they are stupid cause they already had jutsu clashes in previous naruto games and in one of those interviews with cc2 president they talked about create a ninja. I personally don’t care for those ideas myself but I wouldn’t say throw it out because I want something else besides that. Its like insulting those that do want that in a naruto game.

Yes, it’s possible, cause it doesn’t change the engine completely (most of that would be about  adding a new animation and “unlocking” some editable hardcoded keys in notepad text files, then creating new “scripts” {things that are supposed to happen in pre-determined moments}). Another probably possible thing is the addition of Team Ougis like those from Accel 2). 

 Many next-gen 3D games (for Consoles and PC) possess systems that were used in the Atari era. Many of the base is still the same.

Rehashing? I don’t think they did that. The only thing that’s the same is the way the characters look   (and they can’t change that really. I mean if they completely changed the graphics it wouldn’t be a storm game anymore) and SOME combos. I mean do you really think they’d give Minato and Choji a whole new moveset when they’ve done nothing new? But they did tweak them. There’s a good chance Choji’s UJ might change. If you notice they didn’t even put his awakening action and they did the same to PTS Naruto in the last Comic Con or whatever it was. Also they’re trying to be secretive because a lot of people complained that they revealed everything for Storm G and the game felt boring to play. I doubt a lot of characters are going to stay 100% the same. I mean they said they’re at least tweaking characters that didn’t get much screen time in the war and considering they received so many complaints about crappy ougis and that they’re doing more cinematic and good ougis they might change the old character’s old ougis

There’s a lot more new than old:

Story mode is completely new
The Boss battles are new
Hack and slash is completely new
The Awakening Action is new
Ring-Outs are new
Environmental destruction is new
There are 2 ways to awaken
There are new maps
There are new characters 
And more things we don’t know about

My point is, the only thing rehashed is some of the characters and stages. That’s it. I mean they’re trying to make 20 + new characters and if they screw up fans will eat them alive, because a lot of new characters are fan favorites. They need to put a lot of effort into making Madara and Edo Itachi and characters that fans love the most because if they half ass them, people will get really angry considering they have a bigger fanbase than other characters. I think that’s why they made Storm 3 now. So they can focus on most of the war and in the next game, since naruto is ending, they can make characters that they didn’t make playable in the other games, and if they screw up some characters they can fix them next game

And Storm 2 had NO rehash with less development time. So what’s your point? 75, 50, 25% it makes no difference. 

Storm 2: 2 years, maybe 5% rehash (Kakashi and Tsunade’s grabs are all that come to mind, and Tsunade barely fought as well btw but still got a new moveset). 

Storm 3: 2 1/2 years, mostly the same characters, mostly the same movesets (no, the old characters won’t get new Ultimates unless they showed something new) maps are and always have been re-skins, ring-outs are cheap wins, environmental destruction is HIGHLY limited and looks very poor, boss battles are too quick, easy, and reliant on QTEs, only the 2nd way to awaken is new, Story mode will likely be far too easy and repetitive just as it always has been. Only things that are worthy are the 20-25 new characters (Storm 2 had 42 new characters) and the Hack N Slash (which is already overused in games to begin with). 

So… yeah, there are a few things but even if they weren’t mostly terrible as I believe they are imo, those few only make up in essence about 25% of the game. The 60 or so characters from previous games, similar movesets, mostly the same maps, and mostly the same mechanics make up the other 75% since they are what take up the bulk of your time ultimately once the story mode is over and done with.

Matsuyama already said the story mode is going to be 30 hour one

They did a lot of the work with only half of the team

Even if Ring Outs are bad it took effort to make

They balanced supports and now they can die and stay on the field giving more realism

But whatever. Rehashed or not I don’t care really. I’ll buy Storm 3 and love it.

 I am not one to always agree with you, but this time Alex….I do. It is common sense and it is harder for people that ride CC2′s or Naruto dic to know.

Some people can’t be helped, they don’t really understand logic and hate when you give them facts.

Kids just don’t care if they are getting ripped off or cheated in any way. Because Naruto is clapped on the cover a majority of them will turn a blind eye to the truth, to the flaws, to what could of been.

They don’t really understand how a company works, especially the ones saying, “cut them some slack!” They have a job, they are getting paid well to do the job, so I will not cut them any slack for making quick changes to make an easy buck.

No I mean when I read 80 characters I’m thinking 80 different people not 2 or 3 or 4 of the same character being counted as a different character. 4 naruto cool but why counted that as 4 characters instead of just 1. Its not a different character its the same character with different moves or abilities or whatever. I’ll just expect like 40 to 50 different characters and if its more than that it’ll be alright. I think they should just tell people in a paragraph how some things will be in the game with a few pictures and a demo because I think all these videos and do spoil the excitement when playing with a character you never played with before but already know most of his moves because you seen them on video. Mifune,Hanzo,and Darui won’t seem like new characters to me when I unlock them. Might leave this thing alone. I did that for a while when I heard about ring outs because that disappointed me but I wanted to see if something else was added that I might like and yeah that jinchuriki battle mode sounds nice. Would’ve been more boosted about it if I never came back to spoil myself then see it in the game surprised. Hope cc2 didn’t reveal the best changes to storm3 so I can still have that feeling. Might just jump straight to comments next time but its more complaints now than it was at first which was a lot of ideas which made create a disquss to comment to see if others like or dislike my ideas.
