One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 – Perona, Moriah Confirmed

A brand new scan confirms Perona and Gekko Moriah from the Thriller Bark arc are confirmed to be in One Piece Pirate Warriors 2! Luffy is also present battling Moriah in two of the screenshots within the scan.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 is an action/adventure in development by Tecmo Koei’s Omega Force. The game will be published by Namco Bandai Games in Japan (PS3/PSVita) on March 20, 2013 and Europe/North America (PS3 only) sometime in the summer of 2013.

    On this scan, perona is confirmed as playable and Moria only as a boss fight. It doesn’t says if he will be playable or not. But Perona is !!!!

    Nice i like Perona, but does that mean Boa Hancock has been taken out?.. i am hoping Boa and Jinbei make it in again and not removed. Moria on the other hand i can’t stand him and his running away/hidng in Oz tactics so im happy to be able to fight him.

    i don’t want the game to be only post-timeskip, it would be cool to have a game with all the arcs since the morgan arc to fishman island or punk hazard (?), and not to be like a what-if scenario . . .

    I just really hope they have all the characters from the first game return, especially the pre-New World Straw Hats. It’d be disappointing if they removed content just to add some, especially since so far it’s only shown the New World versions of the non-villains.

    They really should have waited for the new world to actually progress. the only major battle so far was against hordy. The caesar clown arc isnt really over yet so I wouldnt count that. That may be why they are including stuff from the past that the first game should have had. Its far too early to be making this.

    It’s not necessarily too early in my opinion. Yes, the story hasn’t advanced far but there was a lot that could have been added to the first game. At least from my point of view it’s a bit of a smart choice to do it now and go back and add more pre-New World stuff and improve the gameplay mechanics than to wait another arc or two and only focus on those.

    in one of the game’s trailers it shows luffy using red hawk and has Zoro in the background running around in his PW1 outfit, So I think both versions will be in. OR it could just be a simple costume change with the NW movesets, which I wouldn’t mind at all

    Smoker and Law are playable which is awesome. I hope the previous ones that were playable are playable again as well (Love Whitebeard and Ace). I have a feeling Aokiji and BlackBeard may be playable since they’re on the front cover of the game with Luffy. Guess we’ll have to wait and see for further details.
