PTS Characters, two slots for one single character (Who knows for what) and lots of characters that don’t appear during the game’s history; they could have easily put the 4 Edo Kages, the Golden and Silver brothers, The 7 swordmen, etc. I think they REALLY need to hear their fans…

I’m not sure if you guys realized, but they said over 80 playable characters and if you count there is only 80 playable characters. So there are playable hidden characters in the blue slot. They have to at least add one more character and there is only 3 character sets left to add: 7 swordsmen, gin and kin, and 4 edo kages, so we are at least getting one of these sets. Most likely edo kage’s, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get all of them.

It’s not complaining if it’s true and justified.

For me, I’m personally not on this Madara bandwagon. So seeing this “final” roster I can honestly say I’m disappointed with it. If there are hidden characters there better be AT LEAST 7 swordsmen, kin/gin, BM naruto.

Show me a point in the story where Naruto can use both the Demon Fox Cloak AND Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. Where Sasuke can use both the Curse Seal AND Mangekyou Sharingan. You can’t. Hence the reason for multiple variations of one character.

Okay looking over all the information that has been presented today it seems that the Edo kage and hopefully Ginkaku and Kinkaku are hidden characters. Also I’m sad and happy to say that the blue thing in the bottom left corner is not a page turner or for DLC it’s for your preset teams so that you can save the teams you prefer to use and you won’t have to waste time lo looking for them. The 7 pts characters are for the Chronological mode or something like that which allows you to play through important fights from the pre time skip naruto era and helps you to complete the ninja timeline and unlock the “Historian” achievement/trophy. The character roster is finally out and I’m pleased with it and will buy the game regardless. The video that shows some of the kage summit naruto versus rinnegan Tobi and the kage versus Madara seems the be the ending video for the same or at least I think it is seems like the war is over in the video. Last but definitely not least Madara Uchiha has been confirmed!!! Now I wasn’t too into him at first but after seeing his move set HE. IS. OP. AS. HELL. And I love it!! He’s definitely going on my team and his Jutsu covers the whole screen. His UJ is epic cause at first I was like “what a small rock” then is saw the meteor behind it and was like O.O oh dang. And I expected his aw awakening to be Susanoo but I like the Rinnegan and how they incorporated the almighty push into the aw awakening air combo. Only thing bad I have to say is that they could’ve given Bee one slot and put in Omoi so he could be on my team too

Anyone else seeing those young charcuterie in the bottom left corner? What’s up with that? We’re going to have some part 1 charcters or what?

You must know that at that time, we knew close to NOTHING of Hashirama’s abilities. And even still today, we don’t know all of his abilities in terms of the anime.

Obviously we’ve seen him go dog wild in the manga, but in terms of the game, it’s completely irrelevent.

That was terrible. I still don’t know why they couldn’t at least give them all Akatsuki coats. Then it wouldn’t matter if Jugo had his shower curtain or not. And no level 2 curse mark in generations sucked. But this game’s got cinematics in it, so maybe that part where he uses it in the story will be included and his awakening will be updated accordingly. But, yeah, kinda doubt it because of reasons.

Alot of people are disappointed but i feel really hyped now. However i understand that characters like the pts and extra slots for different characters should not have been there but these weren’t “wasted slots”. cc2 didn’t just say “hey guys y’know what were only going to include a set amount of characters”. they included the characters they intended to from the get go and characters like the pts and extra slot characters were just a bonus extra stuff they didnt even have to give but did to fill a quota for “more” characters and even if they were removed it wouldnt have opened up previously filled data space for stuff like Gin/Kin, 7 swordsmen, and BM Naruto these were just not included because they didnt want them included personally i hope they stick to their word and make this the last storm game and just release story/characters as dlc when it shows in the manga…

I just hope that since they went and made a full blown character slot they have Bee with the V2 awakening on his original form. It’d be super awesome if one of those Gaaras has a dif awakening as well (cough cough Shukaku cough). I mean for them to give a whole slot to a copy they should have dif combos and a dif awakening as welll to give he real “different character” feel.

It’s not really a big deal, using up different character slot, that is. Even if they were put into one slot, does that mean CC2 magically have another month of development time to create another dozen characters to fill the screen?
What sucks is that they advertised the total no. of playable characters as far too high, which sent expectations through the roof, to levels they apparently never had the ability to come close to.

so i guess they lied to us in that interview they had when they said there would be no pts (pre time skip) characters….. and we have NO EDO KAGE……. eventhough they showed their move sets in the trailers….. if they take away all of the pts characters that have ZERO POINT including kid kakashi and kid obito, and give bee 1 slot and have u change what version when u pick him. then you would have enough slots available for not only ALL the edo kage but also kinkaku and ginkaku and some of the edo 7 swordsmen… but NO, CC2 have to be pricks to all of us and lie in interviews. if it wasn’t for the fact that we got so many good improvements and a few new characters that are really good and some new online components, i would have canceled my pre order this morning when I saw this, but alas since there is still some good left in this false advertised game i shall keep my pre order and purchase the dlc costumes anyways cause even with it’s faults, it’s still a good looking game.

konohamaru hasn’t had enough exposure fighting to be relevant for a storm fighting game. he’s had 1 fight in his whole existance in canon (not including that filler ova special where he became a jonin which still is NOT canon to the story since he’s nowhere in the war at all. i will say it was badass when he beat one of the pain’s though, eventhough i kinda found it very hard to believe that konohamaru could pull that off without pain feeling sorry for him and letting him win, but either way it was still a cool win but i don’t see him being that great to be in storm. only my opinion though

yes those are there names! they should of put Gin/Kin, 7 swordsman, Gari n Pakura, and Dan, made the support playable. gave kabutorchimaru the sage mode awakening, and gave jugu v2 awakening (hopefully the later two were done already) plus all the characters above.

Honestly I have no evidence lol poor choice of words on my behalf, they weren’t confirmed they were just rumored to be dlc. As for the kage, it’s just a theory of mine but it’s highly likely considering they sepperated the slots for duplicate characters. I just stared at the image with the understanding that they were hidden and couldn’t see anywhere else they could possibly go. Some people said they might be dlc but they wouldn’t say they were hidden in the roster if you had to download them, right?

i think that after Storm 3 they should make one last Ultimate Ninja Storm game which goes from the very start to the very end of the series with every cannon character playable and they have a minimun of 2 slots for the characters that are pts and one slot for shippuden characters (except naruto and sasuke who have 3 slots at most)

i think the missing slots are for support characters, exactly like the ones in generations:
-Konoha symbols are the Danzo support group ( Torune and Fu)
-Cloud Village symbol is Raikage support (Shee)
-Rock Village symbols are Tsuchikage group (Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi)
-Water Village are Mizukage group (Ao and Chojuro)

And there is one unknown symbol in the far down left side that i hope is for flliping a page for more characters. at least thats what im hopping for..

The supports are right. But the left bottom icon is a ‘preset option’. It allows you to pre-decide the characters that you want as a team so that you can immediately select it in the future.

That “unknown symbol” is for changing itemset presets.

According to Namco Bandai, the edo kages are not playable. They were only confirmed for story mode. Go to game faqs and look for the thread called “say goodbye to the edo kages”.

Yeah. And he uses it in all of his combos and his tilt. What else do they want? Actually changing to Rinnegan is prolly even better than using Susanoo. The new combos after awakening are awesome.

All the ppl that have several character slots gain new moves throughout the series, which is y they seperate them cuz there is so much they can do (for instance hebi sasuke never used susanoo so his moveset cant include it or regular itachi using partial susanoo cuz he never did it until he waz resurrected) butt i understand what u r saying, y not jus have one slot for them n then u pick from there

U could throw out about 10 chars by putting them into 1, then choose WICH naruto or w/e u want, and tbh, theres no need for me in kid naruto, sasuke, Sakura (or Sakura shippuuden ) neji, lee, hinata or gaara.
I don’t recall alot of people playing the old characters in generations, i would understand the old “rare” ones like kimimaro, zabuza, haku, etc. even tough i wouldnt play them, they’re still better.
Also, idk about you guys but i would LOVE to finally have co-op in this game.
(Me and my friend), it’s possible, there’s already hack & slash in story mode, plus co-op like that has already been in one of the naruto games, it would make it alot more fun. And THAT would be a good big change, when they make bigger maps for multiple players and stuff, cause this 1v1 is like mortal combat like, and tbh, i’m getting bored of it.. (I know there are supports but i’m not satisfied with that. i want actual CO-OP strategy, instead of 1v1 spamming a move, or waitin for the enemie to lose all his substitutions)

How many times do I have to answer this? Did you seriously not see the gameplay of the Edo Kages on here? Confirming them to be playable? The psuedo Jinchurikis + 7SM aren’t playable because they had little to no screentime to have a proper moveset. That’s reason enough to keep them storymode only.

Why do you guys want the Psuedo Jinchurikis and 7SM so bad? They haven’t shown anything to put into a working moveset. They’re better off storymode only anyway.

1. cc2 announced the largest roster and it is the largest roster. they already said they will put every character from storm 2 in and the pts characters are from flashbacks.

It’s okay to have different variations of the character, it’s annoying because they should put the different Naruto’s,Sasuke,Gaara,etc under one slot and you can press L1 or something to switch between the different variations. Now that makes since, it’s been done in other fighting games before.

First of all, storm 2 didnt have 42 “new” characters, second: Storm 2 was watered down as HELL compared to storm 1, storm gen was also kind of so im really hoping storm 3 will feel more furfilling. Man i am STILL pissed they removed all those awesome features from storm 1.

If they make storm 4 the show will be a lot farther, meaning that we will get kabuto sage mode, naruto KCM 2, naruto vs tobi and madara fight, sasuke and itachi vs kabuto, better game mechanics, graphics, and more characters. His moveset’s a bit rubbish. Well, his combos really, the rest is OK. It’s just that his susano’o looks too…mechanical. It should have more fluid movements. It’s a bit disappointing really.
