I wish Kushina could be a free battle character too, she has display great taijutsu skills as a child smiliar to any pts character like Sasuke etc. she has chakra chains and tsunade once said that naruto and kushina had almost identical fighting styles, which could mean she used shadow clones

Here’s the thing: If she isn’t shown as actually playable, then her being shown as support in story means absolutely nothing. There will be no support only characters, and if people saw Madara as a support in a screenshot, the main piece of info wouldn’t be that Madara is in, it would be what he looks like in game. Reason being is because it’s already been confirmed multiple ways that Madara is absolutely in the game.

There is a low chance there will be a 2nd page. CC2 has said that the total characters are in the 80′s range. There are already 87 characters in the character screen.
The jinchuuruki’s are found on the 3rd row of the screen. From waterfall village icon 7 tails to cloud village icon 2 tails.

Naruto Shippuden Generations was really a letdown for me.

All the good things Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 had was removed in that game.
But i really see now that >THIS< game wil be a worthy sequel to the storm series.
I really can now wait!

What are you talking about, Madara vs Hashirama just started in the manga, there’s no way its going to be in the game. As for Hashirama and Tobirama being in the game, its still up in the air. The only fact we do no is that Kishi said there will be no part 1 only characters in storm 3. Which brings up the question are Hashi and Tobi part 1 only. In terms of anime they are, in terms of manga they’re not. So how much of the game will follow the anime and how much of it will follow the manga. I have my own opinion on this, but we wont know till March 5. Going to get game on day 1. YOSH

He probably means free battle. They are more likely to be included, since the game is going to include characters such as young obito as well. Just look at the plentiful amount of konoha icons in the selection screen. Besides Hiruzen and Minato are in the game so it probably made more sense to have the 4 hokages.

not always, a lot of games have launch trailers right before the release date. launch trailer meaning is actually meant to aid in the build up to the launch of the game by being released just before the game comes out. it’s the launch trailers that show up on tv more than any other trailer and they appear on tv before and after the game launches. the last few storm games did the very same thing.

That’s really not a good enough reason for why she shouldn’t be in. It’ll always be countered by the existence of Karin who never even remotely fought and Ino who’s only shown to use mind transfer so she actually belongs in the support only role like she is in the InoShikaCho combo.
All they need is one Idea/point of origin then fill in the rest based on their personality. Tenten throws weapons and is very confident, Temari uses wind, Shino uses bugs and is reserved, Choji is fat and proud and he grows, Lee only punches and kicks but he’s quick and passionate, Guy is the same, Kakashi mastered over a thousand jutsu but prefers his raikiri sneaky type fighter, Tobi is Dan, Tobirama uses water brimming with confidence, Hashirama uses wood, etc etc. If they really wanted to go purely from combat data and facts they may have gave Yamato earth and water techniques, Kakashi every element, 2nd Hokage space-time ninjutsu or movement (1st step teleport 2nd step water slide) etc. If they want to, they can put the character.

That’s very simple. The game is designed that only playable chars are playable. That’s why all chars have a health bar. It is much much easier for the programmers to simply give her a health bar even though she never uses it than having to completely rewrite the whole game system just for one guest char. She is pregnant man, she can’t fight.

Yeah yeah. But Karin is a joke character and Ino has always been in because she is part of a team who is actually important (Chouji fought one of the sound 4, Shikamaru beat Hidan). And she did do things already. More than Kushina has shown. All we know from Kushina is that she can use these chains. Yeah they made a joke of Karin, but they have so many chars they could rather make a char for. And only very few people actually want Kushina. She is a support because she was important for the fight Naruto vs the Kyuubi, but other than that she has never shown any will to do any fight.

Well Generations turned into a spam fest online probably a month or two after its release (well from my experience anyway) if CC2 can get someone else in to develop the online for the next one, if there is a next one, let CC2 have everything BUT the online and I reckon it would be a great fighting game, generations has people abuse custom rank and ranked has people use the same characters adn supports, hell even player matches now have spammers most of the time. I doubt storm 3 will improve on that games combat online, but we will see.

Ino HAS actually showed enough of a moveset. The game designers just didn’t feel it was good for the game. Karin, too, has a unique set of skills that could’ve been utilized, but to a much lesser extent. And both pretty much HAVE to be playable, because of their roles (although Ino wasn’t in Clash of Ninja Revolution III, oddly enough). Kushina, on the other hand, has only shown ONE jutsu, which doesn’t do much for actually ATTACKING, and isn’t an important character for a battle list. That sealing chain Jutsu would make her a good support, though.

Found a website that translated the scan for rinnegan Tobi and it says that in the picture of him the text reads “I’ll break that mask off your face” this is obviously Naruto and this could suggest that the story will go up to that point, because he wouldn’t say that to anyone in free battle. Storm 3 is released in April in Japan. They’re probably giving the manga more time to catch up to the part where the Naruto and the shinobi alliance beats the Juubi, Madara, and Obito so they can include that battle in the game. However, Storm 3 is being released in Europe and North America in March. That’s two weeks from now and the next two chapters before Europe’s release is going to cover 1st Hokage’s battle with Madara. We better get DLC to expand the story because Japan is probably going to get Shinobi Alliance vs Juubi boss battle when it comes out in April.

there is no need for another new trailer since we know more than we need to know about this game, in fact the more we know about a game the less of a reason we have to even buy it since you could say that before a game’s release most gamers are made aware of nearly 90% of its content, obsessive gamers even more than that. I take comfort in not knowing any more about a game once i’m sold on it because once im sold on it more information is just a 50-50 shot at pissing me off n turning me away from said game.

Kushina playable in free roam, huh. That’s a nice easter egg. She is a support though for Naruto in the Kyuubi boss battle. Hopefully she is fully playable, if not hopefully support only, but as Storm 2 has proven supports can be story mode exclusive too (grandpa and grandma toad in Jiraiya vs. Pain).

Don’t get your hopes up guys. In basically all storm games, during boss battles, there has been support characters that only appear in story mode. And to be honest, i could imagine Kushina being such a story support only character.
But of course, there is still the possibility that she’s a playable character, but you guys are acting as if it’s already confirmed.

Although we can’t confirm all the characters now, they are definitely not PTS characters. Storm 2 characters are after the time skip. Jiraiya shd be in, I dont see why the 3 legendary sennin would not be in the game. Many konoha icons in the CSS. pain and hidan shd be in, there are 9 akatsuki symbols. Besides, Konan is in, so i don’t see why she would be without pain. As for Naruto, it’s quite ambiguous to say anything for now
