HD Footage of the movie clip from the other day of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods has been released! Along with that are a few new screenshots courtesy of Yahoo! Japan.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, but before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release date at this time for either.

    there are 12 other gods of destruction besides bills.and funny thing is he’s the weakest.and that wiss guy is bills master or trainer and hes 1 of the big 12. so what that means is the movie is going to probably carry onto a new series with the z fighters taking on the other 12 gods.

    SSJ1 and SSJ3 Goku puts up a decent fight against Bills. Making out that Goku’s stronger, and it’s just ludicrous.

    Guys, be reminded that Mystic Gohan is the single most powerful being in DBZ universe. He outstrength Evil Buu on the series and even more powerful than SSJ3. In this movie, Goku will transform into another level the: Super Saiyan GOD that’s why he was able to beat Bills here. Hence the title “Battle of the Gods” Goku being the “other God.” :)

    Its simple Gohan has power yes but with rusted skill, if he had kept up his training prior to becoming Mystic Gohan then he would’ve put up a better fight due to also having sharper senses and the proper know how to use such amazing power. Sitting on the ground for 20 plus hours doesn’t exactly equal training experience as Goku is always training constantly so its not the point that Goku is stronger or weaker than Gohan because Gohan is still stronger than Goku but instead it comes down to who is sharper in battle, who has the experience and skill to wield their power effectively which Goku takes his powers and use them to the fullest. A higher power level doesn’t mean sharper abilities Gohan stopped training for years that is still taking at toll dispite being mystic it was apparent when he fought Buu-tenks. Gohan has become dull in skill due to the time of peace and beating Cell now if you took that Gohan from the Cell Games made him continue training then things would be different but like I said Gohan has power yes but dull skills this is why Goku is better he improves himself time and time again where as Gohan gets a power boost without sharpening himself. Goku is just purely the better Fighter in skill and technique and if the two were to fight my money goes on Goku hes sharper and smarter (fighting wise) this is why Goku puts up a better fight. Beating Cell was amazing yes but to quote Bane…Victory defeated Gohan :

    Your forgetting that this was shorty after buu was defeated. He didnt rust at all, however there is always experience that determines a fight. Ultimate gohan is the strongest, but he lacks experience and a fighting intellect like goku.

He also says that there are twelve universes, and the one Goku and his friends know is just one of them, the Seventh Universe. Bills is the God of Destruction of the Seventh Universe, and each universe has its God of Destruction. *Spoiler* *Spoiler*

    Lol u guys are wrng. Ssj3 goku gets beat in the begining of the movie by a FLICK from bills on king kias planet. Mystic gohan gets just as easily beat. Therefore both are weak in comparison. Goku never goes ssj3 again in the movie after losing to a flick.
