I am sincerely disappointed in the game, they could put Naruto Kurama as they did in the story mode, also could make Kabuto Sage, and the main characters were not given new jutsus … Naruto they could have given the RasenShurikenen justsu KCM mode … I’m hesitating to buy

Well, I am not interested in Edo Kages, I dont like them much, maybe Muu. I would like to play as Mangetsu or Kin/Gin. But I agree that they HAVE to be playable in the game, they put Rock Lee PTS who doesnt appear in the story that this game follow, and they didn’t put edo kages, swordmen or kin/gin who appeared in the story, that doesn’t make sense u.u

I wouldn’t mind it that much if they’d finally change gameplay drastically, not such a minor tweaks which doesn’t change gameplay at all or just makes it sometimes even worst (short UJs, Ring Out, Lame Awakenings for Sharingan users like Kakashi or Obito, etc.). BTW I told u many times that u’ll have enough of CC2 faster or later, but no, u though that just because trailers look awesome, game must be exactly same. Bullshiet. Some of u ppl don’t even know what “marketing gimmick” is, CC2 clearly overused them, easy example: most of things which were showed on trailers were cutscenes, new characters, story mode, but where is the gameplay? U ppl were clearly blinded by game’s visuals which was CC2′s intention.

Yeah but they do make a lot of things up anyway like Rinnegan Tobis moveset. I’m not saying i want them to make stuff up but they could change things. Like give Kakashi a new moveset, he always has new tricks up his sleeve and they never change him e.g. he uses Zabuza’s blade, Earth style: mud Wall, Lightining clone chain thing (which they did add) Also Sai has that new sealing technique. It’s just…I dunno, for me I just find it unacceptable for $60.

Let’s put it this way:
Storm 1 had these beautiful graphics, 25 characters, a story that was stale, truly, and did not live up to expectations by most means, but the free battle and characters had enough quality, balance, and depth for a positive start.

Storm 2 gave us a new roster of 44 characters, the depth definitely took a downfall, and balance was lost. But here, we had a good story going for us. Yet, story couldn’t hold the game as a whole, with the birth of the online community.

Then comes Storm Generations, the worst of the pack. An obvious cash cow, graphics had largely fallen down from Storm 1, an actual story was replaced with badly animated scenes, and a boring slide show. It brought us 72 totaled playable characters, and 15 support. It did bring a new addition, the substitution bar, but this was just thrown in, and at some times caused even further problems. This game was basically, the clusterf*ck of the series.

Rising from the ashes of Generations, the newest title, Storm 3. This game offers us a total of 80 playable characters, and the kage support. This game was expected to be the climax of the series, the redemption of Storm, as a serious fighter. The battle system was added a bit of things here and there, characters were nerfed, balanced, but shortened out, and not added to. There are, though, some new characters, but the fact that this feels like what Generations should have been, is a turn off at $60. The story on the other hand, is back. There are times where you can judge that it feels rushed, and the awkward plot twists are very questionable, but overall, it is cool, and it is an upgrade. But once again, story is not forever. And the lasting effect of this game can be questioned.

What do you guys think? I think I’ll buy Storm 3, but not at $60. My only last hope for anything new besides what we’ve seen is Ninja World War Map online.

You thought right!!! The whole thing was ploy to the end. But I myself was not blinded by this concept because I already it was too good to be true. That is why you take the game for what it is and still appreciate the package that you still have.

I hope in the next game they make the ultimates a little longer. That would make it feel cooler when u get it off on someone u would feel acomplished.

You have a valid point and I respect your opinion. I’ve already pre-ordered the game myself as I’ve been waiting a long time for it and what I’ve seen has honestly not disappointed me at all. The story isn’t far enough along (anime-wise) to put in too many of the better characters, and they need to keep something exciting back for Storm 4, right? So all in all I’m happy to pay full price for it and simply can’t wait until the 8th (UK release) so I can get my hands on it!

well guys i think this is the last storm on the PS3, i know it is lame the vs mode, its the same as generations, but with a few more characters, well my point is that maybe this is a spoiler and the real game war will come maybe on 2 years with the PS4. Think it, with te ps4 a game can have more epicness without using a lot of storage so maybe the story mode can reach a huge advantage with a lot of playable characters; but its to difficult to predict it so i´m only saying nothing i think…. lol

I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree with a lot of this. Generations wasn’t a game that focused on story first of all, it was a game for free battle and competitiveness online aswell as offline. The substitution bar was another thing to increase competitiveness. Then you’ve got storm 3. A great story mode, good key new features e.g. awakening actions, instant awakening, Hack and slash into story mode. Also with the new characters that they added, they have done a really good job. Madara has a great moveset as does Nagato, Darui, Mifune, Hanzo and all the other new Characters. Though there may not be as many new characters as we would like or some key things (Bijuu Naruto, Edo Kages, Kin and Gin, & swordsman) this game still has a lot to offer and I’d be glad to pay £39.99 ($60) for it. But thats just my opinion.

Plus, Chunin Exam Sasuke with CSL1 as his awakening, Sasuke Pre-Pre-Timeskip with Windmill Shuriken as his Ougi and 2-tomoe Sharingan as his awakening, and Pre-Pre-Pre-Timeskip with Bow-and-Arrow as his jutsu and Great Fireball as his ultimate.

They didn’t have to change any UJ, because between NUNS1 and NUNS2 there were a lot of new characters, and because PTS characters didn’t learn anything new. But between NUNS2 and NUNS3 there are the same characters, except for 10 or 11 who are new, and some old characters have learned new techniques, like Konan or Sai, and even so with Pain, his most terrible technique is Chibaku Tensei, not that combo with 6 path. Or Tobi with Rinnegan, he didn’t summon Gedo Mazo everytime he fights, so, his UJ should be something with his Kamui. On the other hand I have to admit that they did a good job with instant awakenings and the “special” abilitties that some characters have, for example Danzo and his Izanagi, or Tobi and his untouchable technique

Ok, if that many people are disappointed with this game, then next time they start planning Storm 4/Final, send in recommendations and what not to go back to Storm 1/2 format, if that’s what your favorite format is. I miss the epic Ougi cutscenes, but you gotta think back to Ultimate Ninja, and how long those Ougis were. Over time, those got shorter. Then we had Storm 1′s Ougis, and because the realm of online gameplay has opened up, they needed to be shorter to coincide with connections and what not, which is an ok move. On the Boss side of things, Storm 1 and Storm 2 did it the best, I don’t know why Storm 2.5(Generations) got rid of it, and it seems like Storm 2.75(3) doesn’t have that many in it either(haven’t seen it all though).

Also betting that when they prepare Storm 4/Final, that the series will be over and they might be given creative freedom with certain people, so we’ll have varied move sets and maybe could go back to customizable jutsus and what not.

The game looks real good…but I am so disappointed with some character’s ultimate jutsus and other details, I have even given CC2 these comments.
Ino – I really hate her purple petals kick thing. She should be using her clan’s “Mind Body Disturbance Jutsu”.
Sai – His ultimate jutsu is the same, I thought it was going to be “The Benevolent Kings”, “Tiger”, or “Dragon”.
Tsunade – She should be using Yin Seal Release (could also be an awakening mode) or Summoning Katsuya, has the team forgotten Katsuya?
Karin – Her paper bomb is annoying, CC2 should come up with something that makes sense, use her sensory technique as an advantage.
Orochimaru – He could transform into the giant 8 headed snakes and blasts out the chakra beam like when fighting with Itachi’s Susano-o, his awakening should be in the white snake form.

Addition:
Kakashi – I wish I could see his lightning clone jutsu in his awakening mode.
The Sound four, Kurenai, Shizune, Anko, – CC2 must bring these people back in the next game as playable characters.

You gotta perceive all the details in the manga and anime.

It’s amazing how thoroughly they managed to murder the ultimate ninja franchise. Skipped over Generations and I’ll skip over this too. Maybe play it if a friend of mine buys it, but only for the story mode. As far as free battles go? I’m perfectly content with my Ultimate Ninja 5. Best game in the series and doesn’t look like that’ll change any time soon with the way CC2 is doing things.
