Regions were missing some costume DLC, so on that the only logical conclusion is that they would be available at a later date.

Madara has way more material then the other edos! He is much easier to make a moveset for! It has has nothing to do with him coming after. Like any game, they will have faults. At the end of the day I enjoy playing Storm 3. Yes, there are a lot of problems with it, but the same is said of Storm 1,2 and Gen. Unless I buy CC2, or publish it for them instead of NB, and say “include everything I want” it won’t be my perfect game. But my perfect game won’t be the same as what you would want, correct? Plus, I’ve got the rest of the Storm series, so I don’t see why I wouldn’t get the next. They’d include enough to warrant a purchase. Unless it was next-gen, they can go f*** themselves then. But if its on my ps3, I don’t see why not. And tbh, if I buy it, I’m not going to be the only one.

1. adding the edo kage will just be like the current ones anyway and ppl complain about op characters imagine the 7 swordsman, it’ll be even more op, plus they don’t have any move sets. it is impossible for them to add ginkaku and kinkaku due to the them needing each other on the battlefield, their ninja tools require each other and that is just impossible so stop complaining and enjoy the game, not all games can be the way you want them.

Stop blaming CC2 this is Namco Bandai’s fault namco said make storm 3 now even though the war was not finished. Namco basndai rushed the game after generations CC2 where gonna wait as year or 2 but Namco said make a new game now so the only had about a year on the game.

I think it was more about how easy it should have been to include them, rather than just them being missing. and them spending time on costumes no one cares about they could have used that time to have more playable characters. I do think some comments may be a little extreme but I think it’s understandable why people are upset.

TT2 was designed to be able to have DLC chars. Storm 3 wasn’t. It’s not as easy as putting in a new char, if the game isn’t build arround the possibility and programmed to be able to handle DLC Chars then it can’t use them either. Unlike TT2 which was programmed to be able to use them.

I don’t see why people would continue to buy anymore storms after this. CC2 purposely leaves content out which should have been implemented into the game from the get go and expect fans to be happy with it? They take the fans for suckers and maybe they are, because the next installment comes out and they’ll do the same thing and the fans will continue to buy thus letting CC2 win with no consequence. If I was the CEO of CC2 and could get away with it (which they are, clearly) then i would probably do the same thing. I’m just glad I waited before getting storm 3, no way i’m giving them my money, i’ll just rent it since from what I hear the story mode is the only thing worth playing.

That would make sense if the characters weren’t clearly on the disk. With all the time they had they really couldn’t finish making them? It’s not a complicated combat system so it couldn’t be that complicated.

The naruto games are actually much more popular in america then they are in Japan. Naruto is now the number 3 series in Japan so it gets some props but companies that own naruto material usually send it to america where the majority of fans are.

That ninja timeline crap was halfassed. They literally threw that in with like a paragraph or two for an excuse to add PTS characters. PTS characters are fcking useless, unwanted, and not needed in a Shippuden game.

Funny..Namco Bandai is a publisher, they don’t touch CC2′s game content, only the marketing, cover designs and additional content(Artbook, Cards).

CC2 never officially announced this, this was probably said to lower down the tension on NB forums.

Just wait till the “original” Japanese version releases, don’t be surprised to see a updated roster.

And again CC2 demostrate that they don´t care the fans, the same said when didn´t put Sound 4, Zabuza and Haku in Storm 1, they will put the missing characters in the next game for DLC, but in Storm 2 they didn´t put them. In generations they promised that all characters that didn´t be in Storm 1, are going to be in Generations, again the sound 4 were only support characters, and now they promised that in storm 3 are going to be all the characters in the war, but at the end other disappoinment. CC2 again say that they are going to put all missing characters in the next game, and again they are going to lie the fans and we are going to have an incomplete game, again without the sound 4, the edo kages, gin and kin, etc., and only we are going to have a game with 7 narutos and sasukes, 3 kakashis, 4 gaaras, 3 choujis, pts characters, and a lot of characters without any upgrade. CC2 win a lot of reputiation in this years, but in only 1 year they are losing all this reputiation. They said that they hear the fans, but this demostrate that the fans are garbage for them.

We would complement them if they stop BSing with us. Had they said the Edo Kages will not be playable before the game was realeased then we all would of just been like ok fine whatever, but the fact they showed them in the scan and had you act actually fight them like you would in free battle made us believe they were playable. When these games come out most of us don’t give a damn whats in story mode. We want to know who the F is playable so we can pwn online. They should at least give us an explanation of WHY they don’t do the things they do that we expect. That way will would stop bitching and be more appreciative. The game is fun..

Kin and Gin could be one character like pain and his 6 paths. You control one of them the other comes in during combos (doesn’t run around with you like akumaru). But too late now.

Now I can understand how they cannot make the KinGin brothers, and the 6 Missing Swordsmen “Not” DLC possible but the Edo Kages? The hell? They are already in one on one fights with their own move sets, and awakenings why the hell not!?

They cannot say its not possible to do so when it is fully possible! Look at games like Asura’s Wrath (A CC2 game) where they made DLC Chapters, and fights, or DW Gundam 3 with the DLC characters. I don’t understand why people keep saying they ruined the fighting system. I think it’s as good as it’s ever been. I like the instant awakenings, it gives a little more depth to the fights. Also what I’ve found is that they have done a great job of balancing out some of the characters except for masked man, pts lee, minato, and madara and they fixed a ton of the substitution problems. So can someone explain how the fight system is sooooo bad?

The combos are super short and are repetitive until you move the analog stick up or down, and there is no left stick combo, that sir is a handicapped character compared to the other installments,in all honesty i was a die hard fan of the storm series,but this game does not feel like a fighting game anymore.

Really, I always want to play as the edo kages, ginkaku and kinkaku, and seven swordmen but this is ruining the game!!!!!! Please, dont just add various costumes but add characters as playable in DLC also…….

Looking back…I’m not sure what happened when the transfer from ps2 storm to ps3 storm occurred. Those games had the necessary characters, cool jutsus, and was just a fun fighter. It seems from Storm 1 on they discriminate on characters and constantly take out good features, while adding incomplete ones. It’s really a love/hate relationship now.

yup! if we wanted pts characters we would of played generations of storm 1. heck they could of even waited for storm generations 2. instead they got lazy and stuffed them in in order to take up some slots that could of been used for many other characters in this arc that we wanted. the only ones would justified is Naruto and sasuke pts and kidomaru. and pts garra if they included a new one tailed awakening since they included all the beast as well!

no they said final game until the manga is over. they purchased loans or whatever licences for two more games, storm 4 to cover the end of the manga, and generations 2 in cover the entire series, and perhaps included some movie characters.
this might be the last one for the ps3 though the next one will most likely be for next gen.

everything was just copy and paste! which is a slap in our face to us in the anime community and more because since storm 2 and generations they asked us our opinion and what we would want. and they didnt listen to us at all!!!! like teasing a baby and giving them a chocolate bar they really want! then just taking away and eat it slowly in front of us, then throw the empty and open wrapper at us (dlc costumes) and walk away leaving the baby crying and disappointed!

To be honest people do have a reason to be a little upset. Their beautifully animated scenes take up a majority of the story mode and people do buy games to play them, rather than watch them. Personally I am a little disappointed about the character the roster and the non-canon ending they came up with. If they would have postponed the release by a month or two in order to create an even better game, I wouldn’t have cared. I guess it all comes down to the fact that CC2 didn’t do the best job of listening to their fans and because they got ignored, they’re throwing a fit about it. That’s at least how I feel.
What do you think will happen with the next storm game though? Do you think CC2 may turn it around so people don’t start fussing over all this stuff again?

I agree with what you say but I personally wouldn’t even say there was 80 characters, a small chunk of the roster is taken up by slots of the same character with just a different move set (if that), awakening or UJ. Last time i checked sage mode naruto and tailed beast bomb naruto is still naruto. It’s a horrible marketing strategy to be honest.

Actually, I think the last game of the Ultimate Ninja Storm franchise will be Generations 2, where they will focus in the free battle mode (unlike in Storm 3, where CC2 focused in the story mode).

What CC2 did was work fast and not harder about getting money, which was a dumb move. If they would’ve took longer to make the game and made it exactly like the way we wanted it to be, I bet they would’ve had 3x as much money in their pockets

The whole war ark was botched in this game, they left out most characters, most boss fights were regular battles with cutscenes, they didn’t follow the actual story at all, hack and slash was awkward and short, and even the madara boss fight failed to reach expectations. I give them their props on free roam, the characters they did do had good movesets, the Tobi boss at the end was creative(although kurama naruto should have been in versus) , but I expected way more, they should have not rushed the release date and pushed it back so they could inprove the quality of the game, they probably don’t have the edo kages because they couldn’t make ultimates next game they really need to take their time and do whole thing right, I mean the story started out strong started out strong, the demo boss battle was incredible they need to stretch that quality all the way through, and hopefully a generations 2 will fix any versus mode problems and add all new characters they missed

Also the supports was really pointless I feel as though if they played a bit of a significant role in the series then they should be played. And for those getting upset about the character dlc. They can’t do it not because its impossible but because they didn’t write the program Into the original game. A patch is the same way. They can’t patch it because a patch is basically like an overwrite to the already programmed data. It nothing that can be done now just enjoy the game for what it is. No i dont mean it like that i mean in the game you fight the kage and kind of the 7 Swordsman eash of them though could very easily be added. I already figured they werent going to add ark characters like guren etc. At least they could add some other main characters that are in the series for the fan fan base who wanted them. So instead of adding new people to make the game more awesome we get costumes that dont even change thier fighting styles.

I think NetherRealm Studios (Midway) should pick it up. They’ve done a pretty solid job with Mortal Kombat, and Injustice looks badass as well. I can see them doing something real epic with Naruto.

Well i think we can all agree,this game was rushed and not done the way the fans wanted it,and they even had a site where fans could input ideas for the game,all i can say is i’m disappointed,not mad,this game is pretty good,the story mode is fun except for the filler ending,the ninja world timeline was a cool,but unneeded feature,the perpetual change tournament is fun,but not many people use it online,all in all i’d say this game is a major disappointment,but a decent game in general,

Those games had the DLC characters planned ahead during development, that’s why it was possible for those games. If there is no groundwork done beforehand, it’s impossible.

There’s a lot more wrong with this game than not having certain characters. Storm 3 was by no means CC2′s best game. Far too many missed opportunities.

Gin and Kin and the 6 swordsmen I can kind of understantand they have no moveset and we havent really seen much of them in manga but damn it there is a such thing as imagination and creativity
But the Kages HAVE movesets, no way they shouldnt be playable. That and the fact all Jinchurikki are brought back AFTER the kage and all of them are playable.
I don’t think it’s the fact they’re not playable that’s making us upset, it’s the fact that 3 years of hype, months of false advertisement, and series manipulation that’s making people upset.
One more thing…….wtf is up with fragment(s) when Sasuke is the only fragment part there is @_@ I honestly jus dont understand

Back in the Ultimate Ninja series on PS2 we got Minato with a full moveset. Not only had he not shown anything at that point but, he didn’t even have a voice actor. The excuse that “they didn’t do much in the manga/anime so they shouldn’t be playable” is laughable at best.

Kin Gin were the same with a few more pages but still not really enough to come up with to make both characters opposite. Besides they need each other for their full power to be activated

Havent seen this much of an uproar since sfxt but in the same breath you have to take the standpoint of a staff of CC2 not just a fan. It isnt fair if a story is one sided. Jinchuriki had NO exposure to fighting but the fact that they are jinchuriki makes up for that completley lmao at least one of every moveset hfor them they have a limb, fist, hell compartment of some sort from jinchuriki power coming out that’s creativity which they should have done with these characters yes but can you make a moveset for the 6 swordsmen or gin kin with almost nothing to go on?

I had high expectations for story mode, they did fall short for most of the chapters, they didn’t even have a boss fight for the edo kages, which is stupid because they showed they can do it with the Ay v Bee fight in storm 3.

again thats kind of biased, everyone is different, we don’t all want and like the same things, im a real fan been following the series for 10 years, i grew up loving naruto, but im really not so picky about their games as long as i can fight as the people i like with fun move sets and fun boss battles are also nice, and all the characters i like except for edo sasori are playable and have great move sets except for the first and second hokages, and i love most of the boss fights, so im one of the true fans that love the game as it is, but i will not deny more characters and moves and other improvements would make it much better

I’ll get it regardless. Usually more characters anyways, plus there’s always something new about it which i find great. Can’t really complain because we got all the tailed beast hosts to play as, both edo/normal versions, despite only the edo being shown fightning.
Game could use a bit more blood too… like it being spilled onto the floor… more blood if it’s a grab or ultimate…

Inform yourself when battling the edo kage they appear as a vs screen asif they were playable and have an indicator on their jutsu bar to say they have ultimates

Not only EdoKages and KinGin Brothers but also Omoi, Kitsuchi, Pakura, Gari and Dodai… were replaced by PTS and useless double characters.

I still think it’s a waste having the edo kage not playable, they are the only story characters that have jutsu and combos and a 3d vs screen meaning they were possibly edited out of the final roster to make room for PTS characters or the 4 sasuke slots, 4 naruto slots and 3 tobi slots

I like how people are still complaining after the ENTIRE roster was finalized 2 weeks before the game even came out. Even if CC2 had DLC characters, where would they go on the roster? If they were going to do that, they’d have to re-code most of the entire game. You figure, 1 character per every animation of all the other characters, ultimate jutsu’s, background, etc. Plus the extra stuff like in the store to buy ultimate jutsu’s and what not.

Frame rate wasn’t an issue until Storm 3. CC2 focused so much on the story mode, they ignored the glaringly obvious problems in the actual gameplay. Their level of incompetence is laughable.

Their complaining for a legitimate reason. Also, this game is not the fantastic game you make it out to be. It has a myriad of glitches, horrible FPS, and unresponsive controls all of which could most likely be fixed with a patch we will probably never get. Fanboyism has blinded you to the truth. This is a mediocre Storm game.

Its kind of hard not to be sceptical considering the characters some people were on about being playable, are in the game and seem to have some form of moveset, mostly the 4 edo kages and the gold + sliver brothers seem to have them, they could easily have them on their as D.L.C aka Disc Locked Content, I’ve never known CC2 or Bamco do this for a Naruto games, most times they make a complete game on disc for Naruto (except storm 1).

This is BS, you have 4 character models that are already in game with their own move-sets and UJs and their telling us they can’t add it in?

Just tell us the truth, your too lazy to start making new character models for next year so your saving them. Then you’ll add in the last combo for all the characters and make another filler game like Generations… BTW Generations… way better than Storm 1-2 & 3. Tons of characters and fights. No 30hrs of story mode filler.

Storm 2′s story setup + Generations’ combat system = the best Storm game. IMO that is.

Because CC2 made us believe that Storm 3 was going to be the definitive Naruto experience. With a massive roster and a 4th Ninja War driven story. We get the game and it’s none of those things. We only got a handful of new characters, horrible frame rates(which were never an issue before), PTS characters that do not belong in the game, characters with the same move sets taking up multiple slots, unresponsive controls, annoying glitches(ex. support glitch) and they removed neat features like the option to save and watch replays. These are some reasons why a lot of people “hate” the game.

Well even though I thoroughly enjoyed this game, I don’t want to become a victim of CC2 and namco’s money milking so unless they make some serious changes and add tons of new features and characters, I think I will pass on it and wait maybe for the game after that one. I just feel this game got such serious hype and the developers failed to listen to their fans.

I think the reason they removed the Edo Kage was that they realized that the Move sets they made for them were just clones(Move set wise) of existing characters with very slight Variation. The Mizukage was the only one that was Sorta not like anyone else, He seemed like a range water user. they cant just Keep the Mizukage so they held all four back.. But what will really piss me off is if they release the next Storm game and they are in it with the same Move sets lol

It can. Because animating stuff takes weeks or months. They don’t have a awakening, they dn’t have a grab or a ultimate. No win stance or anything. These things are all missing, and it would take months to create them for all chars. I know you never animated anything yourself so you have no idea of course but it isn’t nearly as easy as everyone thinks it is.

And they might be on the disk, but the game simply isn’t build to take more chars. They don’t have a roster that let’s you select DLC chars, they don’t have the game mechanics or the online settings to keep people wth them from playing against people without them.

What about the Maps! There’s loads of Maps that were playable in Generations Free Battle. And are in the Story Mode of Storm 3. Yet are not playable in Storm 3′s Free Battle. It makes no sense!! Give us them damn maps through a patch or something.

Though I don’t mind the large amount of cut-scenes in story mode because i play story mode for the story and bosses, to which i was pleased. I do respect your point, and i understand what about the story bothers you.For the next game, i’d say that since storm 3 adds pretty much everybody that really matters, the next game will pretty much be all fan service, and not even to stop the fussing, more because who else can really be added to further the main story, minus a unmasked Tobi. Pretty much all the new characters will be side characters that we’re fan requested. Which will make me happy as well. Kingaku and Ginkaku, the remaining swordsmen, sound four even? The next storm game will be the Tenkaichi 3 of Naruto games if you’re aware of that game’s roster, they will have everybody. If people complain about that then they will never be happy.

Way to completely miss the point of my comment. Not surprising seeing as their is no legitimate way to dispute what I said. We have known about the seven swordsmen of the mist since Zabuza was introduced in Part 1. Also, in your previous post you stated that these characters couldn’t be made playable because they hadn’t shown any moves. That being said, I stand by my original claim. If CC2 could take the time to make up move sets for Non-Combatants like the three I mentioned before, there was no reason why ninja known for their skills with the sword should not have been playable, especially when they have character models and moves in the game. Also, resorting to insults when you can’t make a valid counter-argument is quite pathetic.

That still has no relevance of bringing new characters.

Namco Bandai doesn’t seem to make the fans happy anout not releasing the Edo Kage and the other Edo Ninja’s and still no playable Tayuya or the Edo version from episode 303.

I’m actually really okay with this. Sure the Edo Kages should have been playable, but as long as jugo gets a different costume i’ll be fine. Also the rage Namco Bandi received from this should, at least give them fair warning, if you’re going to hype up characters then actually include them in the versus mode. So i’m hoping Storm 4, or another naruto game turns out as a classic game series just like how Super Smash Bro’s And the Budokai Tenkaichi series

It wasn’t as good as storm 2 story mode, thats for sure. They set the bar with that game, and for me didn’t quite live of to or make that bar they set or elevate it even, with storm 3 story mode, too many cutscenes, less interesting fights, less boss fights, I can honestly say I would have traded storm 3 in if the roster was the exact same from gens and didn’t have a single boss fight in any chapter. Luckily those things didn’t happen and saved it from being an embarrassment of a storm game.

Glad I’m not the only one thinking that way, just buy used or don’t buy it. Thats what I’m doing if there is the next storm game coming out on ps3.

Here is what would fix the problems and don’t rage me this is a discussion forum please don’t out right hate on me. also feel free to dislike or like just my opinion

1. Runners
the noobs who just run around all day and pick op support, Make it so that active combat meaning damage done by justu or combos helps build your support meter they are SUPPORT not the main combatant .
2.spamming
make a beta allow us to help the developers understand they nature of the attacks instead of just thinking one up or taking one from the manga/anime im sure some of the better known you tubers can put the jutsu through its paces and see what needs to be changed about it. Also there should be a jutsu limit that varies between charterers how many times can sasuke use Amaterasu before he goes blind how many sage rasengans before he runs out? how many kunai does minato have On him? diedara attested to having a set amount of clay on him at any time. ( on a side note for all you diedara spammers saying that’s all he does temari in s1 although was long range fighter they gave her close combat moves and technically Garra is a long range fighter think on that cc2 need to fix that.)
3.Story
The story should not have 6 plus hours of cut scenes . i recognize they need an achievements list but I would rather have sacrificed the free roam for a contentious stream of Boss battles and shortened cut scenes the art was amazing but the fans already know what will happen that’s the point of the show and manga. some of the Battle Sasuke Vs Danzo was horribly nerfed yet the made an point for a naruto Vs sasuke that was fine but was unnecessary and konan vs tobi that should have been included we don’t need long side quests most of our time will be spent in training or battling online in an ongoing series and a fighting game at that re- playability works a bit differently also make boss battles have different feels to them for example the kyubi fight in contrast to the madra fight The tobi fight was fine but the kurama Vs tailed beast needs work.
4. Rooster NO CHARTERERS from other games! Sasuke and Naruto specifically if u miss the old characters keep your games in s1 and s2 the rooster was completely different and we liked it. They can keep Kage summit Naruto/sasuke as they were necessary this game but pts Neji and lee and garra were not needed the undead akatsuki were not needed given there Was NO difference in them aside form ougi or atheistic. if you want to have say totsuka blade itachi give edo itachi that moveset instead of yaska magatama and Amaterasu.
5. Dlc
Dlc should be charterers people say Cc2 did not have time to finish well than Cc2 should take a couple of months and release a fragment going further into the story and finished characters based on consumer demand. I’m positive Everyone would not mind losing a couple extra dollars for new characters and extra story. This game was good but it was not what fans desired or rather a VAST MAJORITY is pissed Cc2 at leaset need a patch to fix the frame right my god stop giving a game every year take your time have some pride as developers not as freaking sales man
6. In light of a very wise man Luke Schultz i want to add jutsu limit for clarification i meant cool down in reality you cant use back to back jutsu( i also would not mind the addition of longer ougis if that meant we could do they button sequence from s1 that was fun and interactive and makes you not as pissed you got hit i know there are connection problems but there is a magical things like patches lol cc2 heed the fans you made a wonderful game but prove to me it was worth the 80 dollars to get the deluxe Which by The way i GOT NO DLC cept for Goku Naruto the HELL? And the shorting of combos you still have direction but it was unnecessary not problematic but useless why did the do that the answer Generations consumerism has got them thinking we will take anything and their right .

…They’re lying. They can easily upload a title update that can enable the inclusion of ANY new content. They’re just being lazy, and don’t want to appease the fans by spending the money to do so.

For those that don’t know what a title update is, its an update that overwrites/extends/interrupts game code to enhance/change/add features.
