Super Saiyan 3 Goku vs Bills – New Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Video

A brand new high definition (HD) video of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods has been released! It features Super Saiyan 3 Goku take on Bills! The battle begins at the 1:30 mark. Before that Bills and Whis talk about Goku and Frieza at their base location.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. It will take place between Dragon Ball manga chapters 517 and 518, in the 10 year timeskip after Goku defeats Buu, but before the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. Akira Toriyama along with Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games are all involved. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to release in Japanese theaters March 30, 2013. There is no word on a North American or European release date at this time for either.

    Bills is the weakest god. Imagine how strong the strongest god is. Imagine how he would look. I’m thinking goku will beat the gods in the order of weakest to strongest. Well Goku probably even won’t beat all the gods. Him and Vegeta could train the hyberbolic time chamber and get really strong and Vegeta kill some gods. Hell why not Gohan. Imagine how strong he’ll be.

    Why they make super saiyan 3 Goku look completely weak against Bills? I know he fighting a very strong person but super saiyan 3 goku did nothing to hurt Bills. Even when ssj3 Goku fought Janemba and stood no chance he still put up a good fight. But this just make my favorite saiyan mode (ssj3) Goku look like trash.

    I must say at first I wasn’t looking forward to much in this movie beyond the classic dbz punch blast punch blast, but I really appreciate the effort it seems they are putting into making the fights more dynamic and interesting. This and Bils one shotting dudes with chopsticks seem sick!

    No I just didn’t expect Goku to just lose like that. I mean I never seen Goku completely overcome like that in DBZ, and it canon so this is the first. (Except in some GT battle like when he battle Baby Vegeta.)

    that wasn’t any chop, it looked like bills hit goku easy but remember that ssj3 has an intense speed and bills dodges them with ease he is really fast for goku not to see him and that one chop to the neck could have killed goku i magine that flick sent goku down he was eating dirt what a chop could just tink about it

    goku has withstand attacks that was much stronger than bijuu bombs, so for bills attack to push goku back like that especially as a super saiyan 3. has to be pretty extreme.

    It’s kind of Interesting where Bils stands in the Dragonball universe since “gods” are usually nothing more than the guardians of a certain planet. In case you didn’t know “kami” as of Kami who was the other persona of Piccolo and now Dende who holds the title of “Kami” are acting as the god of Earth.
    Also Enma’ou the judge of hell, the Kaiouhs and the Kaioushins are ranked abouve the gods in this unevrse so its like:
    Gods(Kami) -> Enma -> Kaiouh -> KaiouShin -> DaiKaioushin

    So where is Bills who is technically a god? If he is above Kaioushins then why is he called a god? Well technically he is called “HakaiShin”, so then now how is the ranking ladder: Where he stand on it? Is he above or below the Kaioshins i wonder?

    Also then. If Whiss is stronger than him (which we know he he is) then what is he? I’m more interesten in these than in the actual plot of the movie. I hope these will be explained.

    Because Goku retained his normal form once he became a god. Absolutely nothing states he can’t access the equivalent of a SSJ state as a God too. Do you really think the ending of the movie would be “meh he’s not that strong” if he couldn’t achieve super saiyan god level in a sequel ?

    He didn’t retain his normal form. That’s how SSJG looks. Nothing says he can, but a SSJG2 would be interesting . But if SSJG is not that strong and he did go to the next level and was able to stand shoulder to shoulder with BIlls in terms of power then Goku would still never stand a chance to Whis. Also any saiyan can really go SSJG, as long as there is 6 pure-hearted saiyans then someone could attain SSJG Form. Vegeta could possibly do it in the next movie or whatever they do.

    yes bills holds a higher position and role as a god his actual juobs is to destroy anything for planets to galaxies to make room for more planets to galaxies, thats why he sleeps for so long, waiting till its timme to destroy again. but the difference between he and the others is no one tells him what to do or how much he can destroy, if he feels like destroying he just will.

    I think since Bills and Whis were at King kai’s place I think King kai set all this up just so that Bills and Whis can train Goku when Goku wakes up after three years. Then the other gods no one knows about were actually the evil ones.

    Anyone else see the giant fish eat the small one. I like paying attention to the little things too. That was pretty cool, the animation though just looks awesome. Looks like they are putting comedy into it too. Goku’s face was pretty funny after Bills flicked him.

    i like that idea. sure they fought but they didn’t kill Goku or his family and friends and if they were so bad they would have killed everyone. it even says after the big fight and before whis chopped bills that bills talked to Goku about other Gods so the whole thing could be just a test/warning/training method.

    yeah SS3 Goku has been beat before but he also got tons of good shots in. but what’s so surprising is in this fight Bills makes Goku look like an amateur weak chump. and to think Bills is the weakest of the gods that’s freaking scary. i’ve been wondering this; why did Bills go after Goku after he heard he beat frieza? why not make it be b/c he defeated Buu? it was more recent, buu existed before frieza, and Buu is leaps and bounds stronger than Frieza. just thought of this so i’m answering my own question but it’s prolly b/c Bills wasn’t the original God of destruction of his galaxy (or universe or whatever) when buu tiraded across the universe.

    Goku can’t go back to the time chamber. Remember, he used all his time up when he first trained with kami and when he trained to become SSJ2. Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan could probably make a push to SSJ3 and officially write off GT as non canon

    It’s because Frieza is infamous in the universe, he conquered planets left and right and ruled a large empire and had the Elite Saiyan Warriors at his feet. Buu just destroyed, destroyed, destroyed. No one was left to tell the story of Buu so he never became infamous.

    From what i read it seems as if this new form that goku has is on a time limit like ssj3 was when he first learned how to use it. this is only the begining now is time for him to get training on how to use it. If you think back to gt goku was fightin with majuub at the look out tower. maybe this can help tie in gt to the rest of the series making up for how goku managed to ssj4 besides the hell he went thru with baby and everyone he fought along the way. but remember ssj4 gogeta hair was red like god mode.

    Actually that is false, Goku still had more time to spare in the Time Chamber, and after he gets out, Vegeta even asks if he’s going back, but he chooses not to.
