New story mode footage and new interviews of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z have been released! The first video features gameplay of Goku and the Z Warriors taking on Nappa and a group of Saibamen. There is also brief footage of some of the menus and character customization screens where players can change a few details, like the costume color, for characters. Please note, there is no character creation in Battle of Z, just customization of existing characters.
The second video is an interview between Kunio Hashimoto, the producer of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, and French website PopCulte. The interview was in Japanese with French subtitles originally, but Saiyan Island has translated the video to include English subtitles. They discuss the multiplayer aspect and story mode of the game. It’s worth mentioning that Hashimoto-san mentions the story mode covers the Saiyan and Frieza sagas, however, he might just mean that’s just whats been revealed thus far. We’ve seen Super Saiyan God Goku in the promos and Ultimate Gohan on a menu screen, so it would be very surprising if the story mode would be limited to just the first two DBZ sagas.
The third video is an interview between Jason Enos, senior global brand manager at Namco Bandai Games America, and American website GamerFitNation. The interview summarizes much of what we know so far, including the different character types and four player co-op.
