Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z – First Gameplay of Cell SagaPosted on October 10, 2013 at 9:58 PM
At the 2013 New York Comic Con, Namco Bandai Games had an updated playable demo of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z. Playing as Super Saiyan Vegeta with Super Saiyan Trunks, Super Saiyan Goku, and Piccolo as support, Saiyan Island has the opportunity to experience the Cell Saga! The battle begins against Android 16, 17, and 18 and then moves onto Cell!
The second video features a battle against Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga. We provide a few details and commentary on the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z Controls.
You’ll note in the following video, as well as the Cell Saga gameplay, the control scheme refers to “Unique A” (L2 or L1+O) and “Unique B” (R2 or L1+X). These are two special attacks in addition to the Triangle+O combination labeled “Special Attack”. In other words, characters have multiple specials. For example, Super Saiyan Goku’s “Unique A” and “Unique B” are Now I’m Angry and Meteor Smash and his “Special Attack” is Super Kamehameha. Vegeta’s “Unique A” is called Galick Shooting, while his “Unique B” is Big Bang Attack and his “Special Attack” is Final Flash.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is the latest game in the legendary DBZ series. It will host team-based combat with up to 8 players, including 4 on the same team. The game is confirmed for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Europe, North America, and Japan in 2014.
