Top Selling Manga in 2013

The year 2013 is almost over and Japanese statistics company Oricon has revealed the top selling manga series of the year! From November 19, 2012 to November 17, 2013 (the period they noted as “2013”), the #1 manga series in Japan was One Piece with an estimated 18,151,599 volumes sold! Naruto had estimated sales of 5,553,933, while Bleach had 2,752,588.

From an individual volume basis, One Piece had 5 volumes in the top 50, Naruto had 4, and Bleach had 3. The source material behind the hit anime series Attack on Titan alone had 11 of it’s volumes in the top 50. There are actually 11 volumes total in the series and all of them made it. The series as a whole had an estimated 15,933,801 in sales in 2013, putting it at #2.
