Naruto Will Be Taller in The Last: Naruto the Movie

New information and higher resolution sketches of Naruto from the latest movie, The Last: Naruto the Movie, have been revealed! The Naruto we all know now in Naruto Shippuden currently stands at a height of 166 cm (around 5 feet and 5 inches). In the Last: Naruto the Movie, he is a bit taller at 170 cm (almost 5 feet 7 inches). One could also interpret what’s in the sketch as 173 cm (5 feet 8 inches). At any rate, this small growth spurt comes with a Naruto that has shorter hair, a more toned body, and more mature look!

The information is straight from the notes left by Masashi Kishimoto (the creator of Naruto) in his sketches of our hero. In the first drawing, Naruto has on a new outfit for going out on missions. In the second, he is wearing clothes that have something to do with Ichiraku Ramen. Is Naruto now also employed there or is this outfit worn when going out for a meal? That much isn’t revealed at this point, but we’re certainly curious on what it’s for!

The Last: Naruto the Movie will be making it’s debut in Japanese theaters on December 6, 2014. A short teaser will be broadcasted for the movie this week (preview screenshot below) during Naruto Shippuden on July 31st. Two characters confirmed to join Naruto so far in the movie are Sakura Haruno and Minato Namikaze. Their roles have not yet been revealed.

After this week’s episode, the Naruto Shippuden anime will be about 57-60 chapters behind the manga. We have to wonder how or even if this movie will fill in the gap between what’s happening in the manga for anime-only viewers. We also wonder just how canon this movie will be. Kishimoto-sensei will be involved in the development and supervision of an original story and character designs, but he also filled a similar role for Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie, which to us at Saiyan Island at least, was considered filler.

The Last: Naruto the Movie is being touted as the first step in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Naruto series, known as the Naruto’s New Era Opening Project. There will be other, unannounced festivities to celebrate the occasion, including a Naruto Exhibition. Naruto began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999 and the series has gone onto have sales of over 130 million volumes since then.

Awww, are you still caught up about that? You don’t ever forgive others or move on very well, huh?

  • Larry E. Powe Jr.

Perhaps you should know that Naruto says that Sakura loves Sasuke.

  • Washoda Ajnin

Sorry, Princess…Naruto loves Sakura, not Hinata. Besides, Naruto doesn’t give up, so we all know he’ll be chasing after Sakura until she finally reciprocates…lol, even if Kishi were to leave us hanging at the very end, it would be presumable that Naruto would still be chasing after Sakura.

Perhaps you should know that Naruto says that in the same way Sakura tries to win Sasuke’s love, he’ll continue trying to win Sakura’s love.

I think you watch ep 235, which is a filler episode.

  • Queen Hinata

Your point? Naruto might “love” Sakura, but Sakura is still in LOVE with Sasuke.
Until she finally reciprocates, huh? So Sakura can change her feelings of love for Sasuke so easily, yet Naruto can never EVER get over his little crush on Sakura? Talk about double standards!

  • Washoda Ajnin

Can you tell me that’s not how Naruto feels, though?

  • Washoda Ajnin

Sakura’s infatuated. Besides, it’s easier for Naruto to continue loving Sakura than it is for Sakura to continue loving Sasuke. Also, Naruto has the strongest will in the game, so Sakura may give up on Sasuke, but Naruto…you should probably give up on him giving up.

filler or not it is still Naruto in that episode. It doesn’t matter if it is a filler. His feelings don’t just change if it is a filler. Do he still fight to protect his friends? Yes he did and that is a feeling. Did he still keep his personality? Yes he did. He cant just change his feelings in a filler just cause it’s a filler. And it was a still an episode that happened on his way to the island so it’s not like they just randomly made a story somewhere of him far away. No this was on the way of the main story. It’s like saying Luffy from one piece when he traveled islands if one episode of the island on his way somewhere was nothing and it was just a filler and what he said and how he interacted didn’t matter at all cause it’s a filler. And to Minato’s question if she was his gf. Which he promptly said yes. Even if it was mean’t to be a joke everyone knows Naruto says things quickly without hesitation if he feels like it. Even if some consider him to be an idiot at times. He rushed to the answer that she was. He still loves her maybe not as much as before. But i think it grew out of just being a kid and having a crush for her into something else. And it’s not just friendship.

and Naruto still loves Sakura so what are you trying to prove

  • Devin Brown

and you yak on and on about 238 so whats the difference

  • Larry E. Powe Jr.

Don’t you ever stop stalking and talking?

  • Larry E. Powe Jr.

If Naruto loves Sakura, where’s the proof? Cause other than that, ep 373 is solid anti-narusaku proof. So get over it.

  • Devin Brown

and wheres your proof that he loves Hinata or that Sasuke loves Sakura, oh that’s right there is none
