A new scan of Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been released and it shows practically the same contents as the last scan – diversity in character creation. The one difference is a new screenshot shows the Uub-like custom character charging toward Saiyan Saga Vegeta.
For those out of the loop, the previously teased mysterious future warrior with red haired character and a Capsule Corp jacket is not a new character created by Bandai Namco and developer Dimps, rather a custom character. Dragon Ball Xenoverse will allow players to create their own custom character, who will play an integral part in the game’s story mode which involves going back and intervening in the history with Dragon Ball!
There is also a new interview with Masayuki Hirano, producer at Bandai Namco Games, from Gamescom 2014, which took place this past weekend. Hirano-san is the one wearing Goku’s trademark orange gi and he is speaking through a translator with the nifty scouter and Capsule Corp t-shirt. He reveals the custom characters can level up, allowing for improvements in skills. Also, at the end of the interview Hirano-san says the game has been announced for consoles only, but if there is a lot of fan demand, then they may consider it for PC!
Thanks for the heads up Harun De La Atif!
Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be making it’s way to the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will offer in-game transformations, characters with the most detailed facial expressions ever seen in the Dragon Ball universe and new cel shaded graphics. Dragon Ball: Xenoverse will be published by Bandai Namco Games and is in development by DIMPS (the company behind the Budokai series). No release date has been announced at this point in time, but we hope to keep you up-to-date with the latest right here on Saiyan Island!
