Our hearts dropped. We’ve known this time would come eventually, but hearing the official confirmation just brings out complete sadness. Shuiseha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has confirmed Naruto ending in 5 weeks. That puts it at chapter 699, issue 50 of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will be released officially in Japan on November 10, 2014. It’s likely the manga will leak online a few days earlier so for many of you, it’ll end before then.
The Naruto Shippuden anime is well behind the manga and will continue until it catches up. There is also the much anticipated The Last: Naruto the Movie slated for December 6th of this year in Japan. Naruto ending signifies the conclusion of one of the all time greatest manga this life has seen. It started back in 1999 and has spawned dozens of videos games, specials, movies, and countless other merchandise. Let’s enjoy these next 5 weeks to their fullest as creator Masashi Kishimoto brings this phenomenal 15-year story of a boy to its finale.
