Dragon Ball Z: RESURRECTION ‘F’ To America in Summer 2015. Premiere April 11

Ladies and gentleman, it’s happening!! FUNimation, the company behind Dragon Ball Z in North America has announced the latest Dragon Ball Z movie is coming West in the Summer of 2015! There will actually be a premiere in Los Angeles, CA on April 11, 2015 – that’s a full week BEFORE the official Japanese release of April 18, 2015! Wow, FUNimation taking their game far beyond that of a Super Saiyan God!

The April 11th premiere will be in Japanese and will have English subtitles and a limited amount of tickets to the premiere will be available to fans and the general public beginning today at dragonballz.com. The Summer 2015 release of the film across North America will have the world class English dub we all know and love. Take a look at the official press release below.

It’s the news fans have been waiting for! FUNimation Entertainment is proud to announce its acquisition of the theatrical, home entertainment, video on demand and broadcast rights to the upcoming Japanese animated feature film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ represents the nineteenth feature film in the Dragon Ball series. Series creator Akira Toriyama was directly involved in the film’s production, just as he was in the highly successful Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The English dub of the new film will be released in theaters across North America in Summer 2015.

However, fans of the franchise may not have to wait until summer to get a look at the film! FUNimation Entertainment has teamed up with 20th Century FOX & Toei Animation to host the world premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ (in Japanese w/ English subtitles) at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, April 11. So, if you’re in the Los Angeles area you can be among the first in the world to see Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’. A limited amount of tickets to the premiere will be available to fans and the general public beginning today at dragonballz.com.

Dragon Ball Z: RESURRECTION ‘F’ (Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no “F” in Japanese) is the nineteenth featured film in the legendary Dragon Ball series. Dragon Ball Z creator Akira Toriyama will be writing the story for the movie as if it were a continuation of the original manga series and previous movie, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. All is well on Planet Earth until one day survivors of Frieza’s army, Sorbet and Tagoma, attack. Their goal, achieved: bring back Frieza from the dead with the power of the Dragon Balls! With the worst wish in history granted, Frieza is plotting his revenge against Saiyans. Armed with a mysterious and unrevealed transformation, what kind of surprise power does he have in-store? We’ll have to find out beginning on the theatrical Japanese release date of April 18, 2015 and American release date of April 11, 2015!
