Attack on Titan Game: Escape from Certain Death Slated for 2017

Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced a new Attack on Titan game is in works for next year – Attack on Titan Game: Escape from Certain Death. The game is slated for a release in Japan on March 30, 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan. A US or European release date has not yet been announced at this time. The story description is as follows:

While investigating the outskirts of a certain old castle, the Survey Corps are caught in a Titan assault. The ground collapses amid the chaos, and the protagonist ends up falling into an underground part of the old castle. Just narrowly escaping death, the protagonist cannot return to the surface as their Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear has broken. The protagonist links up with a single “partner” and attempts to escape the castle underground shrouded in mystery, but…?

Attack on Titan Game: Escape from Certain Death will be priced at 5,800 yen for the standard edition – both physical and digital download – and 12,800 yen for the Treasure Box edition. Attack on Titan Game: Escape from Certain Death Treasure Box edition includes:

– Miksasa and Levi 3DS theme with voices download code

First-print copies of the game get an Nintendo 3DS theme of Eren with a download code for voices. From our understanding, the Treasure Box Edition first print also gets an Erwin 3DS theme with a download code for voices. You can take a look at the first teaser trailer for the game below.
