Warning: Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 19 and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 20 Spoilers ahead!

The new arc for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations begins this coming Wednesday, August 9, 2017. It will be based on the Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring manga. This is a ten-chapter mini-series sequel to the original Naruto manga, created by Naruto’s original creator Masashi Kisimoto so it is the most canon of anything seen so far in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series!

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 19 (titled “Uchiha Sarada”), Sarada Uchiha begins to feel jealous of her friends who get to spend time with their father. She also feels uneasy because of the relationship she has with her father (Sasuke Uchiha) – none – as Sarada has never had the chance to spend time with him due to his important role serving the Hidden Leaf Village. One day, Sarada comes across a photograph of her father and notices a woman wearing the same glasses as her. To us, the fans of Naruto, we know it is Karen, one of Sasuke’s allies from the past. To Sarada, however, this woman is a complete mystery! Because of the similarity, Sarada questions if Sakura is really her mother.

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 20 (titled “The Boy with the Sharingan”), Sarada decides to find her father and hear the truth of her birth directly from him. She decides to follow the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, who knows of her father’s whereabouts. During her self-created mission, Sarada bumps into Chocho Akimichi, who says that her parents are not her true parents. Because of this, she decides to join Sarada on her journey to find her real parents as well! However, during the journey both are attacked by a mysterious boy with the Sharingan. Who is he and what does he want?! We’ll have to watch Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 20 on August 16, 2017!
