Dragon Ball Super October 2017 Schedule

SPOILERS AHEAD!!

In October, the Tournament of Power heats up as the strongest warriors engage in a battle to determine the fate of their universes. First up, it’s Goku vs Universe 11’s Jiren in a two-episode special on October 8. However, it seems our hero does not have the power to take down the Universe 11 warrior so Universe 6’s Hit steps in episode 111. How will that fight fare and is Goku down for the count or is he just on the sidelines temporarily?! We’ll have to watch the electrifying episodes of Dragon Ball Super in October to find out!

The month will kick off a new ending theme. It will be titled “By A 70cm Square Window” and it will be by Japanese rock/pop group RottenGraffty. This will be the tenth ending for Dragon Ball Super since the series made its debut back in July of 2015.

  • Seventh

Jiren is gonna body Hit, rip.

  • Combat-Loving Saiyan Battle <— That sounds like a fusion!

  • *Trafalgar D. Water Law*

    let’s hope!

  • Yomi

    That thumbnail thoe.

  • Super Elite Patrol-Man

This arc has been a complete let down so far. I hope Toyotaro ups his game and makes the manga version of the tournament better than the anime.

  • Navok76

    “Combat-Loving Saiyan Battle”
Does that mean the last battle will be Goku vs Vegeta?

  • Darth Ji’inx

I don’t know about that. Jiren is probably a lot stronger, but Hit might be able to do something to him with Time Skip (skipping time, freezing him, & intangibility), especially if he uses Pure Progress to progressively increase its duration like he did with Goku, and if Jiren is weakened from fighting Goku’s new form.

  • Keenan King

Probably Vegeta vs. Universe 6 Saiyans

  • Keenan King

Fusion is banned in the tournament

  • asvpxjase

Your own opinion, I’m loving it

  • asvpxjase

Pretty sure Jiren will kick hits ass cos if you have read spoilers goku didn’t stand a chance so hit will have minimal damage

  • Nitsuj Adaet

This is the best since cell saga. Sure, the tournament has slowed, but it has been great. Dont hate

  • Nitsuj Adaet

I dont think jiren is going to be the toughest cause too many characters like gohan and vegeta have not unleashed a new skill or power yet. Remember, vegeta is better at the god ki. The whole super series is about vegeta being 2nd. I amhoping he shines

  • Super Elite Patrol-Man

Why, yes. It’s an opinion. Thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious.

  • Cam TexasBoy Perry

Vegeta is the second strongest mortal in his universe but I don’t even know if he is even stronger than Hit currently.

  • SOMEONEWHOSDISSAPOINTED

It should’ve been more deep, dramatic, intense and unpredictable, instead its a series of 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 dumb fights, considering its a limited space with 80+ characters fighting all at once, its been stupidly and unrealistically portrayed

  • KDG

He’s probably stronger than Hit at this point. Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken gave Hit quite a challenge. Then Black went Super Saiyan Rosé and beat the crap out of both Goku and Vegeta until Vegeta trained for a day and made Black look weak. Logically he should have blown past Hit.

  • Christopher Cannon Jr.

    He will for sure.

  • SOLOmio

goku, vegeta vs toppo jiren and dyspo vs Hit, Kale, cabba, caulifa.

combat loving could be referring to goku, caulifa and vegeta. Since most of the other saiyans don’t show any love for battle besides the three I mentioned

  • Silver King

Jiren dabbing in the back and Goku look like they about to drop the hottest mixtape of 2017!!

  • Silver King

No it’s not. Originally weapons weren’t allowed, which means they would have to do the fusion dance (it’s a technique not a weapon), but I think after Master Roshi did the mafuba Zeno liked what he saw and allowed weapons so now the potara is allowed as well. Although I do not believe anyone brought a pair of potara considering they were originally banned.

  • Wally West

Hit with his extended time skip gave Goku a challenge. Powerwise, Hit is not really that strong. If Hit was equal to a SSB currently then Dyspo’s punches wouldn’t have done sh1t to him

  • asvpxjase

I don’t think Hit was every STRONGER than Vegeta. Vegeta even says Hit punches doesn’t hurt it is because Hit targets vitals. Hit is still faster than Vegeta and as long as Vegeta is not able to go faster than timeskip Hit can win. Especially if killing is allowed in the fight. Did Hit not kill Goku after the Black arc? Hit will always be up there do not play yourself

  • asvpxjase

Triggered? Lol grow up didn’t even have to reply to my comment

  • asvpxjase

Unrealistically? Is this even a realistic situation? Lol end of the day I understand your point but Dragon Ball Super is not a dark anime it’s lighthearted and fun but I do agree it’d be nice to see more deep dramatic stuff going on but it must be very difficult managing 80 characters writing a big ass battle royale out of it on the fly. I expect the Manga to be better than the anime in terms of what you’re looking for though

  • asvpxjase

He can’t do a better job so let him be a loser critique

  • Ronald AllGood Davisjr

You and that guy both sound stupid! Ya’ll 2 obviously dont know these guys and how they operate with the dbs universe. Yes true the manga is deeper than the series BUT u all know u cant get everything u read in books on the tv screen smh, just like hollywood with certain movies adopted from books to big screen! DBS is a great series FACTS. Stop the babying and enjoy the show….

  • Scott Baker✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ ᵃᶜᶜᵒᵘᶰᵗ

reason the anime sucks is cause toei are getting bits infor form toriyama,

where toriyama is working properly along side Toyotaro with the manga.

  • Sinedd

I hope Goku won’t come back or the God of all make him come back, because this is the most likely to happen…like before in Dragon Ball universe.

  • Paul Watson

Fusion Is Banned In The Tournament. Roshi’s Item Wasn’t A Weapon, lol.

  • Paul Watson

Goku And Frieza Are Tied For First, lol.

  • Paul Watson

Nobody Said Vegeta’s Better, lol. Just Cuz He Went To Train With Whis First, Doesn’t Mean He’s Better.

  • Darth Ji’inx

That’s only against Blue Kaioken x20, not Goku’s new form.

    As for Hit vs Jiren:
So far, it looks like Jiren’s the type of enemy that relies on one-hit KOs, meaning his stamina and defense might not be on nearly the same level. If Jiren’s so strong, why not power up and KO most of the other fighters from the get-go instead of standing there motionless most of the time? Can he only fight in short bursts after “charging” for long periods of time? If that’s the case, Hit just has to avoid his attacks, which Hit is normally a master of doing so (time-skipping, time stopping, & intangibility), and strike when Jiren tires out.

Hit’s attacks are also pretty strong since he can even injure SSBs (prior to powering up even further) and he’s adept at precisely hitting weak spots on the body. On top of all of this is the possibility that Jiren might be tired/injured from his fight with Goku.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, we know that Jiren relies on one-hit KOs, is an expert at predicting where projectiles will land, and might be faster than Dyspo. This would mean that Hit would have a hard time activating Time Skip, even if he tries the same trick he did with Dyspo to confuse him. Also, Jiren would probably know where Hit will target him.

Overall, I think Hit stands a chance if Jiren starts out weakened from his fight with Goku, has much lower stamina/defense than he does attack, and Hit uses new moves/strategies.

  • AsurasPath22

That is the most ret**ded thing to come out of that mouth of yours. The Buu Saga alone sh*ts on this

  • AsurasPath22

Stop being a triggered b*tch. The arc is a let down. You also didn’t have to reply to the guy. Now shush kid.

  • Ryumancer

I’d argue against that, actually. Goku and Vegeta trained after killing Frieza while Frieza just rotted in hell merely training his mind instead of his ‘body’. The only reason it seemed Frieza “tied” with Goku is because Goku wasn’t going all out. He had still had yet to use Kaioken.

    So I’d say Frieza’s third.

  • Ryumancer

To be fair though, by that logic, Android 17 shouldn’t have been able to last even 2 seconds against SSB Goku.

  • Paul Watson

The Series Says Their Tied For First In Power, Which Is Why I Said It.

  • Ryumancer

Actually, by a slim margin, most people prefer the anime to the manga. Not to mention knowing that the anime is on a tight weekly deadline, I’d say it could’ve been much worse. Toyotaro on the other hand has a whole month to produce an overall equal result that, while eclipsing the anime in art style and fight choreography in certain times, completely becomes insignificant when it comes to specific plot points and concepts.

  • Ryumancer

Evidence suggests otherwise. Goku and Vegeta are evenly matched without Goku’s Kaioken and they both physically trained while Frieza rotted in hell.

Not to mention Goku said at least twice that if Frieza misbehaves, he or Vegeta would just beat him again.

  • Paul Watson

I Don’t Think He Knew About Frieza’s Mastered Form Tho, He Has Complete Control Over His Ki Now, As Well As The Lack Of Stamina Drawbacks That He Had Before. He Wasn’t Rotting In Hell, He Was Training His Mind To Make His Body Stronger, lol.

  • Ryumancer

I don’t think he trained his mind to make his body stronger. I think he mostly trained his mind to get rid of the stamina drawback.

  • Seventh

Pure Progress isn’t gonna close off a gap that quick. Time Skip can easily be beaten if your stronger. Goku figured out his Time skip twice. The second time he defeated him with Kaioken. Goku has to go to Kaioken x20 against Jiren but he’s still getting pummeled by Jiren. There’s almost no way he can win against Jiren.

  • Wally West

That’s like saying like a worn out Roshi shouldn’t have lasted against Frost, but he did. Super is too inconsistent and I’m not saying Hit is weak. He is SSB tier, but not equal to a full powered SSB Goku currently.

  • Paul Watson

    Its Both. lol.

  • Darth Ji’inx

(I’ve given a more detailed explanation responding to someone else here if you’d like to read it.)

Basically, Jiren might have ungodly attack power, but he could be lacking in defense, but especially in terms of stamina. How come he rarely moves or attacks if he’s so powerful? Does his power rely on charging up for long periods of time, only to release it in massive, short bursts? If so, that will put him at a disadvantage against an opponent as strong as Hit, especially if he’s worn out, or maybe even somewhat injured, from fighting Goku’s new form. On top of that, Hit’s a very strategic fighter, which could lead to him finding possible weaknesses from observing Jiren’s fight with Goku. Altogether, this gives Hit a chance. Overall, Toei is probably aiming to deliver an interesting fight, meaning it won’t be completely one-sided, especially after Goku vs Jiren raises the bar.

  • Ryumancer

Power levels in general aren’t bullshit. Trying to measure them is. XD

  • Ryumancer

Nearly impossible to train what he can’t use. That hive he was in had to be a ki drainer or neural inhibitor of some sort.

  • Wally West

And Hey, Why aren’t you coming to MAU anymore ?

  • Paul Watson

U Forgot That When Goku Acquired Perfect Ki Control, He Became Exponentially Stronger? Hence His Saiyan Beyond God Base Form.

  • Atun R

    Db super drags ngl

  • Ryumancer

Because I was perma-banned, remember? Long story short, after a heated argument, a truce was worked out between you-know-who and myself. I don’t mention or insult him, and that is reciprocated the other way as well.

  • Ryumancer

He still used it though, that’s the point. Frieza didn’t use his body for a while because he was trapped.

  • Ryumancer

If you’re curious for the entire story. Maybe Ahtma or Linger could fill you in. I can’t say much because I wouldn’t mind honoring said truce.

  • Paul Watson

Yeah, Just Cuz He Was In A Cocoon, Doesn’t Mean He Couldn’t Train, lol. Goku Did Mental Image Training All The Time.

  • Paul Watson

Nobody Said He’ll Be Eliminated, Hit Will Probably Save Him Like He Did With Caulifla, lol.

  • Paul Watson

    Nah This Arc Is Awesome.

  • Ryumancer

Mental Image Training only kept up Goku’s senses. It didn’t give him any additional power or skill.

  • Nero Angelo

Are these REALLY official? everything below 110 DOesn’t sound like the usual Japanese overlong Episode Titles.

  • Ryumancer

Then Ribrianne would be a violation of said rule. XD

  • Paul Watson

    Ribrianne Isn’t A Fusion.

  • Ryumancer

Yeah never mind I was thinking of something else. 😛

  • Ryumancer

    Agreed.

  • Ryumancer

The original series and Z dragged in certain areas too though. -_-

  • Rafty

at first it sounded like goku will lose with that title. but 113 make it sound the opposite lol.

since jiren vs goku is so hyped we can assume alot of the budget will go there?
    (jk XD)

i didn’t know the guy that did AF does the dbs Manga neat.

  • uhMayzedHD

Of course you will agree it’s Dragon Ball lol
Question though do you watch any other anime other than the Dragon Ball series?

  • Richard Joshua Cabauatan

another week of no episode? the next episode must be 1hour and 30mins damn it! now I will wait for a week again! damn this anime

  • Irzum Shafiq

Damn …. I was waiting for this episode a whole week and now i need to wait for it again…..

  • Ryumancer

    Hells yeah. Dragonball’s the SHIZNIT!

Yeah, I watch other anime. Dragonball’s just my favorite. Are you more curious about the classics that I watch or the currently airing (non-rerun) variety?

  • s̶ᴡ̇ᴀ̦͑͂ɢ͠ᴀ̙ᴍ̧ᴏ̩̫͛ᴛ͓͔̫ᴏ͂

that’s why i hours special lol

  • SOMEONEWHOSDISSAPOINTED

    1. When I said the word ”unrealistically” I meant it in the context of what we’re accustomed to see and have seen in the Dragon Ball Universe since its inception, there’s no way a tournament with 80+ fighters be centered into 1v1 fights in a limited space, they intend to flesh out the characters like that but they can’t even deal with that, they’re just wasting character designs and throwing away the potential this arc could’ve had

    2. Dragon Ball Super doesn’t need to be a dark anime to be a remarkable one, a meaningful one, and a more serious one, in Dragon Ball they were children, yet dark elements were shown, such as decapitation, dismemberment, assassination and lots of blood, DBZ had much more of that, and GT is not entirely carefree as well, this arc is just an excuse for not elaborate enough fight scenes without a proper story

    3. Its not that difficult for Toei, an animation company that runs some of the most popular anime series in the actual world, to showcase numerous fight scenes that stitch together, in fact, they draw and showcase lost of characters per episode, thats one thing, being lazy enough to NOT showcase those characters fighting together, is another.

  • SOMEONEWHOSDISSAPOINTED

    1. DBS is a horrible series, it takes every aspect of the Dragon Ball Universe (almost ALL the damn character designs are unoriginal or recycled) and it degrades every single one of them, DBS is immature as motherfucking bullshit, unoriginal, full of plot holes, and cringe worthy as bullshit

    2. What in the motherfucking bullshit are you talking about when you say you can’t get everything from page to screen? Are you retarded? The anime actually comes BEFORE the manga is released, the manga comes AFTER it and takes most of the anime’s story, only that its slightly better written and developed, but still fcking sucks, the anime’s story is completely ”original” and not adapted from anywhere other than the writers’ dumb as bullshit ”minds”, an attribute you seem to share with them…

  • Cam TexasBoy Perry

people act like both of those series didn’t have boring parts.

  • Ryumancer

    I know right?
