The Dragon Ball Xenoverse video game series might just be the most popular two-game anime video game series as Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced between Xenoverse 1 and Xenoverse 2, 8 million copies of the games have been shipped worldwide! Definitely some serious congratulations are in order for Bandai Namco and developer Dimps!
To celebrate that accomplishment, along with yesterday being the one-year anniversary of the game’s release in Japan, players who log on to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will get 40 free TP Medals every week for the next 20 weeks. In other words, if you log onto Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 online every week until March 15, 2018, you’ll have accumulated 800 free TP Medals!
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was originally only supposed to have four DLC packs, but the success of the series has led to two additional packs – DLC Pack 5 and DLC Pack 6 – along with a free Hero Coliseum Mode. You can view what’s in DLC Pack 5 over on this page and take a look at a new video showing off Hero Coliseum Mode below.
As for DLC Pack 6, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced it will have four new playable characters and a new story mode scenario. Details for DLC Pack 6 are limited, but Bandai Namco has mentioned one of the characters will be ‘an original new character’. There will also be an all-new form of Goku in DLC Pack 6. It’s unclear if the new form of Goku is counted as one the four new characters in DLC Pack 6, or a separate character. Whatever the case, considering the timing, we suspect that form is Ultra Instinct, which was recently shown in Dragon Ball Super. Of course we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds. No specific release date has been announced for DLC Pack 6, but that is expected in 2018.
DLC Pack 5 and the free Hero Coliseum Mode are expected to be released sometime later this year in 2017. As we know more, we hope to let you know right here on Saiyan Island!
