These are the characters many have been waiting for – Beerus, Goku Black, and Hit – all from Dragon Ball Super! Today, the three are confirmed as playable characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ, bringing the roster of playable characters to 23. The confirmed characters thus far in addition to the three newly announced ones are Gotenks, Kid Buu, Adult Gohan, Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, Android 16, Android 18, Captain Ginyu, Cell, Future Trunks, Frieza, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Krillin, Nappa, Piccolo, Tien, and Yamcha. If you include the game-exclusive character Android 21 – who has not yet been shown as a playable character (just in story), but being assumed as someone who will be playable – then there are 24 playable characters so far.
Beerus is equipped with the God of Destruction’s Anger attack, which is a long-rage ki attack that shoots out of Beerus’ finger. Beerus also has God of Destruction’s Wrath special attack, which is a rapid fire technique that shoots out energy blasts from Beerus’ body in all directions. Beerus’ stats are as follows: Power: 4, Speed: 4, Reach: 3, Technique: 5, Energy: 5
Hit has his trademarked Time-Skip techniques in which he manipulates time and skips it for a fraction of a second to freely and quickly assault his opponent! Hits stats are as follows: Power: 4, Speed: 5, Reach: 3, Technique: 4, Energy: 1
Goku Black (in Super Saiyan Rose form) has the power of the Violent Fierce God Slicer, which is when Goku Black’s hand transforms energy into a scythe and causes harm to the opponent. Goku Black will also have Zamasu as his support. Pictured is Zamasu holding the opponent as Goku Black launches a Super Black Kamehameha! Goku Black with Zamasu can also launch the Power Ball attack as a combo. Goku Black’s stats are as follows: Power: 3, Speed: 4, Reach: 4, Technique: 3, Energy: 4
In addition to playable characters, Shuisesha’s V-Jump magazine highlights is the appearance of Shenron! When players do combos, the Dragon Balls will gather. The Dragon Balls are shared among the player and opponent. When one of the players fulfills a certain conditions after all seven Dragon Balls have been gathered, they will then be able to summon Shenron – the Eternal Dragon. The player who fulfills the conditions will be able to select from completely recovering their HP one time, reviving a fellow teammate, gradually recovering HP constantly as time goes by, or a fully charged sparking/ki energy meter.
Last, but not least, Dragon Ball FighterZ will feature the recreation of famous scenes from the anime/manga. This includes Yamcha being grabbed by an exploding Saibaman from early in Dragon Ball Z, Goku’s Spirit Bomb Kamehameha against Kid Buu towards the end of Dragon Ball Z, and Beerus helping Goku after taking his Sphere of Destruction from Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and early on in Dragon Ball Super.
