I’m ready for this tournament to end it would’ve been better if it was classic style 1 V 1 so everyone would get a chance to fight

  • dbz

    goku ultra instinct > kefla

  • KDG

But everyone did get a chance to fight. In fact, they got a chance to fight whomever they wanted to fight, and did not have to wait on the sidelines to do it. Most (if not all) fights have pretty much been one on one in the Dragon Ball series. I think it’s awesome that we finally got a free-for-all battle royale of powerful fighters. It’s nice when a series doesn’t feel the need to constantly recycle the same crap we’ve already seen done repeatedly for years.

  • lolcatz6657

    Zeno>UI>kefla

  • Leo LeiGto

I agree. The battle royal is boring. maybe if they had prelims first then a royal or a royal and then 1v1’s an all out team battle is lame.

  • Leo LeiGto

lol. You know your talking about DB right? lol

  • dbz

    android 18 > ribrianne

  • lolcatz6657

    Android 35> android 18> ribrianne

  • Navok76

“the Tournament of Power is approaching its final stage as Universe 6 has been annihilated”
    R.I.P Hit and baelifla

  • Super Elite Patrol-Man

Sigh, so those two Nameks are on par with Majin Buu? There’s no way Ultimate Gohan can’t manhandle the both of them at the same time.

  • KDG

To each his own, I suppose. Personally I’m not interested in watching the same old tournament style that has been in Dragon Ball literally for over two decades. If I want to watch a classic one on one tournament, I can easily go back 20 years and watch the original Dragon Ball. Or go back a couple months and watch Universe 6 vs. Universe 7. Or go back to the exhibition match between Universe 7 and Universe 9. Dragon Ball/Z/Super/GT has had an abundance of one on one battles already. It’s no longer entertaining for me. This battle royale has been a breath of fresh air in a series that already recycles way too much of the same stuff.

  • dbz

    jiren > hit

  • lolcatz6657

    some future episode goku> jiren

  • Leo LeiGto

I can see how it looks fresh. To me its fresh hot garbage lol. but to each his own indeed.

  • Koibito888

    Exactly what you said. 100%

  • Koibito888

Well the U6 Saiyans are naturally stronger, the Namekians could be too. Or just those two could be particularly strong/be heroes in their own universes that had their own adventures to get strong. Though they kinda already are manhandling them hence gettin an arm stomped off lol and going by aura Gohan wasn’t even powered up like he is in the preview. They could possibly get like Piccolo level, then maybe that tactic they dont expect is Namekian fusion or something.

  • Koibito888

I still bet Universe 2 is getting wiped out before 6, or at least in the same episode. I think ‘Frieza getting infuriated’ really means him taking it out on the rest of U2 and getting them out either before or right after 6 – though 6 going at the end of the episode is the more dramatic answer.

3 and 4 were obviously going to be next but if 4’s swinging in I imagine 4 will go next, then 3. Then if things don’t get interrupted or something it’ll finally come down to 11.

  • Anthony_weaver86

    How?

  • Anthony_weaver86

Did anyone see the batman anime trailer?

  • Kaguya Otsutsuki

Yes, I did. Though I don’t like Batman

  • Anthony_weaver86

Are you more of a superman or marvel person?

  • Leo LeiGto

Please list more 1v1 fights. lel.

  • KDG

I don’t see how a free-for-all where fighters have to worry about a lot more than just fighting one person at a time equates to “kiddy style.” Rather than simply being stronger than each opponent one would face in a traditional one on one elimination tournament, the 80 fighters in the Tournament of Power have to rely on stamina (48 minutes of continuous battle), team work (something Universe 7 is only now starting to utilize), fighting multiple fighters at once (the warriors of Universe 7 have been ganged up on repeatedly throughout the duration of the tournament), and power. Explain how fighting multiple fighters at once, and possibly being hated and targeted by several universes simultaneously is “kiddy style,” in comparison to the ease of focusing on one enemy at a time.

  • Koibito888

Awwww hell even better reason in the new episode

  • KDG

Infinite energy? Goku is pretty much on his last leg. At this point he can only even transform for seconds at a time, is doing the majority of the fighting in his base form BECAUSE he has very little energy left, has had to get an energy boost from Frieza of all people after facing Jiren and burning through all of his stamina, and required the aide of Android 17 and 18 in his most recent battle. But by all means, do tell me more about this “infinite energy” Goku has.

Also, Goku vs. Jiren absolutely was one on one, with the exception of a very short moment where Toppo and Dyspo interfered, only to be ordered not to by Jiren himself.

  • Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti

The tournament would have been entirely different if Buu was in the team.

  • Rodrigo Monterier

    Gasts clones did well

  • KDG

Perhaps, but I don’t think that would have been a good thing for Universe 7. Buu is incredibly stupid, and his low intelligence would have probably been detrimental to the survival of Universe 7. Or at the very least it would have resulted in him being easily outsmarted and eliminated, bringing Universe 7 down to six fighters instead of seven. Frieza was definitely a better choice, as he is definitely more powerful than Majin Buu, more cunning, and prioritizes his personal survival over anything else, making him the perfect ally in a tournament where losing means no longer existing. I was excited to see what Majin Buu could do after training, especially after assuming that lean Super Buu-like form, but ultimately I was hoping for Frieza’s temporary revival for the tournament more than anything else.

  • 7even

He is showing infinite energy. After fighting to exhaustion against Jiren, he somehow manages to regain energy in a few minutes, come on.

Plus Vegeta and other fighters in U7 get nerfed so that Goku can somehow shine more. The tournament of power was made so Goku can fight basically all the strongest fighters.

  • Raftleon

pooplifla? that’s a new one.. i thought the fan-base (well some) loved her.

  • KDG

Goku did not “somehow manage to regain energy,” or did you somehow manage to forget Frieza immediately went to where Goku was laying on the ground completely drained from his battle with Jiren, and gave him energy in the same exact way Goku did for him on Namek?

And nerfed? Vegeta was just going toe to toe with Toppo, the second strongest warrior of Universe 11, just a couple of episodes ago. Gohan just single-handedly took on two powerful Namekians from Universe 6 who fused with damn near their entire race in preparation for fighting in the Tournament of Power. Android 17 has been consistently performing well throughout the tournament and has eliminated several fighters. Android 18 has also done well with her limited power, and eliminated Ribrianne, who managed to hold her own against Goku. Frieza has been torturing fighters left and right, and has yet to encounter a fighter who required him to actually put in any effort. Roshi performed well despite being weak and having gone decades completely inactive, mostly abusing himself to adult books. Even Tien and Krillin managed to eliminate a fighter or two before being eliminated, and neither of them have power equal to a Super Saiyan. With the exception of their three weakest fighters, Universe 7’s warriors have out-performed almost every other universes’ warriors, and are responsible for the most eliminations, despite having being targeted and ganged-up against since the very beginning. In fact Universe 7 (not just Goku either) has eliminated three whole universes so far despite overwhelming odds. So how exactly has everyone been nerfed? If anything, their power has been nonsensically boosted from the very beginning.

Lol. if Toppo and Dyspo can join in it’s not 1v1. Please stop stating the obvious. You can’t argue that Goku’s fight was 1v1. Moot. As they are in a battle royal people can keep giving him energy or hes going to pull it from somewhere. Do you want me to explain what 1v1 is in a long winded text wall to mimic your style of writing? Let’s not do that.

Last leg is silly to say as it is Goku and he always finds a way. BUt since your so worried i guess i should be too. Goku might not win?!?! oh no. Lel.

So far, Goku has gone SSB way too many times, hes fought way too many opponents and he will continue to do so until they are victorious. If that does not display “infinite energy” im going to have to take you back to grade school where they teach about words and how people use them. No timmy his dog is not the Biggest dog in the univers, he just said that because his dog is Large. He did not actually mean his dog is the Biggest in the Universe. lel. t(-_-t)

  • Leo LeiGto

I know you don’t see alot of things. But in Super a “kiddy style”/ Kodomo is pretty appearent. You might wanna look into some good old Shonen anime and then watch a Kodomo anime like DB super. Some of the episodes are definetly more on the Shonen side but sadly ALOT of them are more on the Kodomo Side. IF you need examples of Kodomo episodes just watch DBsuper lol and then watch a dbz movie for a more shonen perspective. Like Dragon Ball had much more mature content than DBZ… DBZ had blood… super basically tones down DBZ and is no where near DB in grown up humor. HENCE ITS “kiddy style.”

Bro, he is not “hated”. The most you can say is that he is disliked. because thats how Kiddy the show is.

  • anonymous

    Multiverse?

  • Cole Schulte

    hit was nerfed big time

  • KDG

    1. Hit is not a Universe 7 fighter.
    2. Hit was not nerfed. He got his ass kicked fighting against one Pride Trooper who was so ridiculously fast he could attack Hit before Hit could even activate his Time Skip technique, and by another Pride Trooper who is stronger than Champa and Beerus.

  • KDG

Toppo and Dyspo couldn’t join, that’s the thing. Jiren ordered them not to, and they obeyed. Their interference was brief and lasted all but seconds, and had zero effect before being told to stay out. Whether or not they CAN join has no bearing on the fact that they did not as requested by their teammate, effectively making Goku’s fight against Jiren one on one. It doesn’t matter if people can give them energy or not, because they didn’t. The fight was one on one even if other fighters had the freedom to interfere, because the fact is they didn’t. I shouldn’t have to explain this to you.

Who said anything about worrying? Everyone knows Goku is going to win the tournament. He is the main character. But you’re arguing he has infinite energy when the evidence of his last few fights and the help he required to keep going suggests otherwise. You’re basically just being a smart ass for the sake of being a smart ass and it’s not necessary at all. At least pretend you have some level of maturity rather than being childishly combative for no reason. If someone tires out while doing physical activities, like fighting 70 other fighters for the past 20 minutes for example, they obviously don’t have infinite energy. Only two fighters have displayed infinite energy in this tournament, and they are the two Androids of Universe 7 who have fought and eliminated several fighters and haven’t so much as broken into a sweat. Meanwhile we’ve seen Goku in several tight situations where he could have lost, has had energy given to him by Frieza, aide from the Androids when he was tired and outnumbered, and has done a great deal of fighting in his base form because he did not have the energy to sustain transformations. Argue that infinite energy stuff when Goku can remain in Ultra Instinct form for more than just an episode. People recover. It’s biology, and it doesn’t take a genius to understand that concept. I shouldn’t have to explain that to someone who can at least read and write.

  • KDG

You really have no ability to debate or disagree with someone without being immature about it, do you? It wasn’t a matter of whether or not the anime itself was “kiddy style,” as you put it. We’re talking about the tournament, not the anime as a whole. Yes, Dragon Ball Z had slightly more mature content and possibly a greater sense of urgency (even though we’re clearly watching a tournament where entire universes are being ERASED by a sociopathic all-powerful being). But the question was how is a battle royale that requires a hell of a lot more effort to survive than a simple one on one elimination tournament a “kiddy style” of tournament. Seriously, guy, grow up. It shouldn’t be hard to argue your point without purposely being a childish troll.

  • Rodrigo Monterier

    Yes

  • R3N0

It should had been Majin Buu instead of Tien, in my opinion he was a waste of space. I do prefer Frieza to Majin Buu through.

  • Petelgeuse Romanee-Conti

Well of course Frieza is much more preferable. But Buu has more advantage and potential than Tien. If Buu were, per say, to be commanded by Piccolo, a brilliant strategist, they can make devestating combos and eliminated more fighters. Not to mention that ability of regeneration and absorption. Plus Buu can save allies from falling by grabbing them or help them recover by absorbing them while Buu tanks some enemies.

  • Robert Cacho

majin buu could turn jiren into a cookie :/

  • AKDragonPC

Yeah boring af, I just feel no build up or tension imo. A load of filler fights and a small amount of main fights; i’m getting the one piece vibes.
