Dragon Ball FighterZ is out worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam. The game was just released a few days ago, but many have already completed story mode and participated in hours upon hours of battle. So the mind of many players starts thinking, what’s next? We know there will be 8 DLC characters coming at unannounced dates in the future. We don’t know who that are at this point, but aside from characters, what else?
In the FighterZ lobby, we can see two empty areas – one that looks like Master Roshi’s Island and the other which looks like West City. What could these be? Well, it hasn’t been confirmed by Bandai Namco Entertainment so this information should not be taken as confirmed since there is no official word as of yet, but according popular dataminer SergioM3, who was able to look into the files of Dragon Ball FighterZ on PC/Steam, there seems to be new modes planned!
Z-Union and Z-League
What Is it? Z-Unions are are gatherings of fans for certain characters in the game such as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan. Essentially it’s a character’s fan club. While in a Z-Union, players can get special character related items. The longer a player has been in a Z-Union, the better items they will get. Further, these Z-Unions are able to join competitions against other Z-Unions in a monthly event called the Z-League. Players will need to go online if they want to join their favorite character’s Z-Union, or if they are already a part of one, switch to another Z-Union. The only time when it is not possible to switch Z-Unions is when the Z-League event is going on. This makes sense so players don’t jump ship to the winning Z-Union as there will be rankings associated with Z-League. Players will need to use their enthusiasm and love for their favorite character to clinch first place!
Our Thoughts: That’s essentially what the data mine says about Z-Union and Z-League. Our guess is the more times a player wins with a character who’s Z-Union they are a part of, the more points and the higher ranking they get to ultimately get the character related items. Of course we’ll have to wait and see what Bandai Namco Entertainment reveals in regards to this to find out for sure. We hope to have additional information on it as soon as it becomes available.
Enemy In-coming! Fierce foe will appear in various parts of the FighterZ lobby island! Raid Battles are not new to Dragon Ball, they were in Xenoverse 2 as well. Basically, players will expect to cross paths with the fiercest of foes in Raid Battles and are expected to train up and prepare. It will be possible to join forces with other players and take this titan down!
Our Thoughts: That’s essentially what the data mine says about Raid Battles. Our prediction with it is it will work similar to story mode in terms of leveling up and three different human players will be a part of a tag-team scenario in battling against raid bosses. Again we’ll have to wait and see what Bandai Namco Entertainment reveals in regards to this to find out for sure. We hope to have additional information on it as soon as it becomes available right here on Saiyan Island!
Beyond Master Roshi’s Island and West City, it looks like there are more empty areas in the FighterZ lobby like a location with a Saiyan pod. What are they for? We’re unsure, but having that warp function in the FighterZ lobby seems to make even more sense now. Take a look at it in the video below.
